John Langley's wife, Maggie, filed divorce docs, citing "irreconcilable differences."
"Cops" went on the air in 1989 and is still running. As for how much Langley is worth -- we're guessing a gazillion dollars.
There is no evidence of a prenup from the documents, so both John and Maggie would split their fortune 50/50.
But Maggie wants more. She's asking for spousal support and she wants John to foot the bill for her attorney.
They were married in 1971. They have no minor children.
John, who is 68, and Maggie bought an epic beachfront property in Manhattan Beach, CA not too long ago -- a double lot on the sand. It's worth way more than you can afford.

Seal Files Divorce Response Assets Bone of Contention
Seal has filed his response to Heidi Klum's divorce petition, and it looks like he's gearing up for a dispute over who gets what in the divorce.
TMZ already reported that Heidi claims there is a postnuptial agreement, which means there are no joint or community assets. But in Seal's papers, he claims there are "community and quasi-community assets" and he makes no mention of the postnup.
As for how much is on the line ... the answer is, a lot. Heidi is worth an estimated $70 million. Seal is reportedly worth around $15 million.
Seal is also asking for joint physical custody of their 4 kids -- Heidi wants primary physical custody, with Seal getting visitation.
Fact is ... based on photos and videos, Heidi has almost always had the kids when Seal was away, and given that he's away a lot on tour, giving her primary physical custody is pretty much status quo.
Seal wants the judge to deny spousal support to Heidi. For her part, she wants to deny spousal support to Seal. The reality ... they both make a lot of money and won't be getting support.
And, as for the date of separation, Seal is non-committal. He says it has not been determined. Heidi claims the date of separation was January 19, 2012.

Ruben Studdard Divorces Like a CHAMP With Ironclad Prenup
If you ever plan to get married, start taking notes -- because former "American Idol" champ Ruben Studdard just went through the CLEANEST divorce ever ... all thanks to his ironclad prenup.
TMZ broke the story ... Ruben filed for divorce in November from his wife Surata Zuri McCants, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in January.
It got hairy at first -- Zuri tried to get the judge in their divorce case to nullify the prenup, claiming Ruben blindsided her with the documents just days before the wedding, unfairly pressuring her into signing them.
But the judge wasn't buying it -- upholding the prenup, and awarding Zuri close to ZILCH in the divorce.
According to the final judgment, Ruben was not ordered to pay ANY spousal support or alimony ... and he gets to keep their home plus all his belongings -- jewelry, pensions, royalties, clothing, and all his cash. It was even ordered Zuri return the engagement ring.
Meanwhile, Zuri gets next to nothing -- her wedding dress, her photo albums, a 2006 BMW (which Ruben will pay off), a 10k property settlement, 2k for attorneys fees ... oh yeah, and her maiden name.
The lesson -- don't sign a prenup ... unless you're loaded.

According to the docs filed by Heidi's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, the couple signed a post-nup -- meaning they made an agreement after they got hitched to separate their assets. As a result, sources say there is no community property to be divided.
Heidi is asking for joint legal custody of their 4 kids, but she wants primary physical custody ... with Seal getting visitation rights.
Heidi is asking the judge to restore her maiden name -- that would be Klum, although she always used it professionally.
Heidi, who is worth a fortune, is asking the judge to reject any claim for spousal support by either her or Seal. And she wants Seal to pay his lawyer's fees. She'd gladly pay Wasser herself.

Kris Humphries Hey Kim ... How Much $$$ Did We Make?
Kris Humphries has filed legal docs ... asking a judge to reinforce the obvious -- that Kim Kardashian has a duty to disclose how much money the couple raked in during their 72-day marriage. But Kris is also challenging Kim's right to give away money that represents what they made in wedding gifts.
Kris' lawyer wants the court to reinforce that Kim has a duty to deal with him fairly and in good faith ... and that includes giving him a full accounting of the assets and liabilities accumulated during the marriage.
In the docs, Kris' lawyer writes, "A spouse may not make a gift of community personal property, or dispose of community personal property for less than fair and reasonable value, without the written consent of the other spouse."
It appears the lawyer is referring to Kim keeping the wedding gifts but giving double the value to charity.
