Octomom Dumping Pain-In-the-Ass Home

Published | Updated

Octomom has had it up to here dealing with her beleaguered Orange County home -- vindictive neighbors, endless mortgage troubles -- so she's decided to cut her losses ... and put it up for sale.

A rep for Nadya Suleman tells TMZ, she hasn't paid her mortgage in three months because she doesn't want to live there anymore -- and the place is scheduled for foreclosure next week.

According to the rep, Octo's going to try to sell the home before the bank takes it -- but if she fails, c'est la vie ... Nadya just wants to get the hell out of there. Credit score be damned.

The rep says Octo had the place appraised recently for $500,000 -- pretty good in this economy ... but the bad news is she still owes $450,000.

Nadya's list of grievances is endless -- but the rep tells us, Octo simply can't justify the $3,500-a-month mortgage payments ... especially when the place is in utter disrepair (video above).

We're told Octo's already got her eye on a few (more affordable) places nearby.

House Flipper to the Stars MGM Honcho a 'Miserly' Tightwad

Published | Updated

The co-CEO of MGM Studios is a bitter cheapskate ... who's trying to sue his way into a "free remodel" of the Beverly Hills mansion he bought from an L.A. real estate tycoon ... this according to legal docs obtained by TMZ.

Sandy Gallin -- who's flipped and sold homes to Sinatra, Kenny G and Mark Burnett -- has filed a response in his bitter legal war with MGM honcho Roger Birnbaum. In the docs, Gallin claims Roger only filed a lawsuit against him because he's embarrassed that the home he bought from Gallin in 2007 for $16.5 mil has gone down in value.

TMZ broke the story, Birnbaum claims the home leaks like a sieve ... and he believes Gallin should have to pay for all of the repairs and related costs -- including a new roof. He's demanding $500k.

But Gallin shoots back -- saying, "[Birnbaum] is motivated by his well-known miserly and parsimonious behavior in his efforts to avoid paying for the roofing remodel himself, which he believes will increase the value of the property that is , embarrassingly to Birnbaum, worth less than what he paid for it."

Gallin doesn't think he should have to fork over a single cent -- and wants a judge to kick the case to arbitration.

Home Flipper to the Stars Sued Over $16.5 Million Lemon

Published | Updated

L.A. real estate titan Sandy Gallin -- who has made untold millions selling homes to the likes of Frank Sinatra, Mark Burnett and Kenny G -- has been sued over a $16.5 million Bev Hills mansion he sold to one of the most powerful men in Hollywood.

The man going after Gallin is Roger Birnbaum -- the head of MGM Studios -- who bought a Gallin home in 2007 ... only to discover it had more leaks than Whoopi Goldberg after a Big Gulp.

FYI -- Gallin was one of the most powerful talent managers in Hollywood before abandoning entertainment to become the most powerful house flipper in town. Gallin used to rep everyone from Dolly Parton to Barbra Streisand and even Michael Jackson.

According to Birnbaum's lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the house began to leak like a sieve last winter ... along with an unhealthy dose of dry rot, rust, and, worst of all, his wine storage room was severely damaged.

Birnbaum claims Gallin had a hand in the construction of the home -- and therefore, should be forced to pay the $500,000 in repairs and related costs to bring the mansion up to snuff.

Calls to Gallin have not been returned.

Rihanna Sues: I Got Duped into Buying a Crappy Mansion

Published | Updated

When you drop $6.9 million on a Beverly Hills mansion ... you expect a quality place -- but Rihanna claims all she got was a leaky piece of crap ... and she's blaming the woman she bought the home from for allegedly lying to her.

Rihanna just filed a lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming she bought a 2-story home in Bev Hills in 2009 for $6.9 mil ... after the seller claimed she was not aware of any major defects with the property.

But Rihanna claims the woman was lying -- and knew about all sorts of problems with the home ... including numerous waterproofing defects, evidence of water intrusion and other construction defects.

According to the docs, Rihanna's home was hit by a "moderate rainstorm" in January 2010 ... but because of the defects, water leaked into multiple rooms ... causing some serious damage.

Rihanna claims she got screwed -- because "the actual value of the property at the time of purchase, taking into consideration the extensive construction defects ... was millions of dollars less" than the price she paid for it.

Rihanna is now suing the former owner ... along with the inspector, the real estate agents involved with the sale, and engineers who worked on the house.
