Former Memphis Tigers football player La'Andre Thomas died in an officer-involved shooting in Georgia last week after allegedly pulling a gun on cops ... an incident that is under investigation. He was 27.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the Sandy Springs Police Department was dispatched to the Dunwoody Place area around 10:30 AM on December 4th ... after a 911 caller claimed a man was assaulting her while she was walking her dog.

The GBI says Sandy Springs officers identified the man as Thomas after reviewing surveillance and located the 27-year-old at a bus stop near the 8000 block of Dunwoody Place.

Tragedy in England -- a teenage boy went out to celebrate wrapping his first semester of college ... but, heartbreakingly, he never made it home.

According to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, 18-year-old Henry Nowak was walking along the southern coast of England on Wednesday -- about an hour and a half southwest of London -- when he got caught up in an altercation with two men he didn’t even know ... leading to a fatal stabbing.

Henry suffered a puncture wound to his chest and two more to the back of his leg ... and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Cops investigating the break-in at former Lakers player Christian Wood's rental home believe the intruders used a pizza delivery method to see if anyone was home before making a move ... this according to a search warrant obtained by TMZ Sports.

According to the search warrant, a Domino's pizza delivery driver walked up to the residence -- an Airbnb in Sherman Oaks -- at around 12:30 PM on November 5 ... the day of the break-in.

Cops say Wood, who was home at the time, did not answer ... as he was not expecting a pie to be dropped off on his doorstep.

Bryan Kohberger is spending Christmas behind bars -- and the murderous Grinch of 4 college students is getting a much-deserved lump of coal this year instead of the average holiday prison perks, except for some cookies.

Here's the scoop ... Idaho's most infamous mass killer is incarcerated in long-term restrictive housing at Idaho Maximum Security Institution, so he has very little access to any activities, according to Sanda Kuzeta-Cerimagic, a spokeswoman for the Department of Correction.

Kuzeta-Cerimagic said Kohberger and his fellow inmates in the restrictive unit are shuffled around in shackles, making it harder for correction officers to move them about the prison for special Xmas activities.

The stepbrother of Anna Kepner -- the teen girl who tragically died on the Carnival Horizon last month -- has been sent to live with relatives as the FBI investigates him in connection with Anna's death.

According to People, Anna's stepmother, Shauntel Kepner, who is the 16-year-old boy's biological mother, made the decision along with her husband -- Anna's biological father -- Christopher Kepner. The move was intended to remove any risk of danger to the other children in their home.

Shauntel reportedly revealed this information Friday during a custody hearing. The court appearance stemmed from Shantel's ex-husband, Thomas Hudson, reportedly filing an emergency custody motion requesting that a judge grant him custody of their youngest daughter, who lives with Shauntel and Christopher.

Thomas's motion was possibly out of concern the stepbrother might harm the daughter he shares with Shauntel.

Remember ... Anna was found in a room she was sharing with her stepbrother, asphyxiated from a choke hold. While the FBI is investigating the stepbrother, no charges have been filed and officials have not named a suspect.

Anna was reportedly found by a cabin steward on November 8 -- wrapped in a blanket and tucked under a bed -- during a Caribbean cruise with her family.

Mark Sanchez has barely uttered a peep since he was stabbed in Indianapolis, leaving him fighting for his life and facing serious criminal charges ... until Friday, when the retired QB wrote a heartfelt tribute to his family.

The former first-round draft pick turned NFL broadcaster took to Instagram, where he posted two photos of his wife, Perry, and their two adorable little twin daughters, alongside a message of gratitude for those who have had his back.

"This time of year always makes me look around and appreciate what matters, but this one hits different," 39-year-old Sanchez wrote. "I’m just grateful—to wake up, to be home, and to be able to wrap my arms around my wife and kids."

DJ Quik's son, David Marvin Blake Jr., has been convicted of second-degree murder, stemming from a 2022 incident that left a man dead in a Los Angeles suburb.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Blake Jr. was found guilty of one count of second-degree murder and one count of shooting from a motor vehicle.

Prosecutors say he is now facing up to 40 years in prison.

The man known as the real-life "Mrs. Doubtfire" for allegedly collecting his mom's pension checks after she died is now being featured in surveillance video carrying out his alleged scam dressed as an elderly woman.

Check it out ... the 56-year-old dude -- decked out as a 70's matron with make-up on his face -- walks with a cane into a registry office in Italy to renew his mom's expired identity card so he can continue receiving pension checks. He's also seen on surveillance video strolling out of the building after allegedly perpetrating the fraud.

During the visit, a council employee quickly noticed the phony mom's neck looked like a tree trunk, and he had wrinkles all over his face, which appeared "unnatural," according to local media reports.

Brian Walshe made numerous calls in the days after Ana disappeared in 2023 ... including to her lover -- and, prosecutors played the voicemail he left in court Thursday.

Walshe called William Fastow on January 4 ... trying to reach him multiple times -- though Fastow said he avoided picking up the phone multiple times since he knew it was his lover's husband trying to reach out to him, and he worried about some sort of confrontation.

Brian eventually left the message played in court ... in which he tells Fastow he hasn't heard from Ana for several days.

A doctor who pled guilty in connection to Matthew Perry's death found out his fate Wednesday ... the judge sentenced him to 30 months -- about 2.5 years -- in prison.

Dr. Salvador Plasencia -- who pled guilty to 4 counts of distributing ketamine back in July -- received the sentence in an L.A. federal courthouse, the L.A. Times reports. He was taken directly into custody.

In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dropped five other charges ... 3 other ketamine distribution charges and 2 counts of falsifying records.

As you know ... Plasencia prescribed ketamine to Perry weeks before the actor fell unconscious and drowned in his hot tub back in 2023.

POORSTACY's baby mama has been arrested ... with cops alleging drug use in the presence of the couple's young child in the days before the rapper's death ... and we're learning she and the kid were in the room when the musician killed himself.

Nicole Grikstas was arrested Saturday hours after POORSTACY -- real name Carlito Milfort -- took his own life ... with cops booking her on a child neglect without causing great bodily harm charge.

According to a Boca Raton Police affidavit -- which cites an interview conducted with Nicole at the police station hours after the rapper was found dead in a hotel room -- cops say Nicole broke down the events leading up to his death by handgun.

"Last Comic Standing" finalist Rebecca Corry is not joking about animal rights in Los Angeles ... her nonprofit just sued the city, the cops, and Mayor Karen Bass, among others ... over the unethical treatment of animals in city shelters and on downtown's Skid Row.

All jokes aside ... Corry isn't just a comedian, she's also an animal activist and founder of the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, which dedicates itself to saving the lives of pit bull-type dogs.

In the new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the foundation is suing Bass, the LAPD, Los Angeles Animal Services, L.A. Animal Services Manager Annette Ramirez, and the City of Los Angeles -- claiming they're all to blame for not following the law in caring for stray animals, and causing widespread animal suffering.

For the first time, police body cam footage of Luigi Mangione's arrest was shown at length during Tuesday's hearing in NYC, revealing Luigi pretended to be homeless when police first questioned him.

As you know ... Luigi was approached by police December 9, 2024 at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania, five days after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down outside a Manhattan hotel.
