Terry Bradshaw made the biggest fumble in the NFL on Sunday when he compared Reggie Bush TD run to "chasing a bucket of chicken" -- but the jaw-dropping comment was intended to be an inside joke ... TMZ has learned.

Hall of Famer Bradshaw was describing Reggie's play during yesterday's halftime highlights show on FOX NFL Sunday -- when he spewed, "Look at this Jimmy, like he was chasing that bucket of chicken that the wind was blowing the other day."

Sources who were inside the FOX studio yesterday ... tell TMZ Terry was not trying to insult African-American Reggie -- but instead was taking a shot at fellow FOX analyst Jimmy Johnson.

Even Hurricane Sandy doesn't want to mess with the "Jersey Shore" ... because the infamous Seaside Heights home that housed Snooki and the gang survived "virtually untouched" by the massive storm that ravaged the East Coast this week.

We're told other than losing a few shingles, the only damage to the home was to the boards and lumber underneath the house. Amazingly, all of the windows remained intact ... no broken glass.

The house is located behind the boardwalk t-shirt store where the cast worked -- that store was crushed by Sandy's wrath.

Gene Hackman pimp-slapped a homeless man who physically threatened the actor and his wife outside a New Mexico restaurant ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the incident went down Tuesday as Hackman and his wife were leaving a Santa Fe restaurant. We're told a homeless guy named Bruce Becker approached them in a threatening manner.

We're told the incident escalated big time when Becker called Hackman's wife a "c**t" -- and then Hackman dished out some street justice ... slapping Becker across the face.

Becker then called the cops to report the incident.

An anonymous person called the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services to report possible abuse against Kendall and Kylie Jenner -- but sources tell us authorities don't believe anything bad happened ... and the Kardashian clan thinks the culprit may be a tabloid reporter.

The anonymous call came in Friday, claiming the two girls were in danger. Sources connected with the Kardashians tell us ... the complaint was "ridiculous because Kylie wasn't even in the country the day the caller claimed she was in danger. She was in the Philippines."

Social workers and cops came to the house ... and our sources say they quickly discounted the anonymous call.

This video is INSANE!!! A Halloween partier dressed as a Ghostbuster climbs on a police car in Eastern Canada this weekend and does a BACKFLIP over one very angry cop. But what happens next is even crazier.

The ghostbuster sticks the landing, but the cop is PISSED -- grabbing the ghostbuster by the collar ... and saying, "You're a smart ass ... come here!"

Another cop rushes towards the ghostbuster -- slamming him against the cop car ... and warning, "Don't you f*ckin' move ... don't f*ckin' do that ... you stupid idiot."

The cops then handcuff the ghostbuster and place him under arrest for mischief and for being drunk in a public place.

After the man is in custody, the cops turn to the photog ... and demand he turn off his camera saying, "You wanna be under arrest too?" The video cuts off right after the warning.

TMZ spoke with the photog who tells us ... the ghostbuster was taken to a nearby station and was thrown in the drunk tank ... but was released a short time later.

5:10 PM PT -- TMZ has just obtained a photograph of Diddy after the accident, and he was so shaken up by the crash ... he had to lie down on the grass.

Diddy was involved in a serious car accident in L.A. moments ago ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, a car turned left in front of Diddy's SUV and Diddy's driver t-boned the other vehicle.

Officers were called to the scene -- and cops claim everyone involved in the accident complained of pain, including Diddy, his driver, and the other driver.

It's unclear how seriously anyone was injured -- but law enforcement sources tell us, no one was transported to a hospital ... despite an ambulance being called.

Jessica Simpson's mother Tina has filed for divorce from Jessica's dad Joe.

Tina filed the papers in Texas last month, claiming, "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

Tina and Joe were married in 1978. They have no minor children.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Tina claims she has separate property from Joe and wants to keep it. It's unclear what that property is.

In the county where Tina filed, there are specific rules about how divorcing spouses have to behave toward each other during proceedings -- they can't curse at each other, harass each other over the phone, or physically attack each other ... basically they HAVE to act like civilized adults.

If one spouse violates the rules, they could be found in contempt of court.

Joe filed a response to Tina's divorce petition days later, insisting Tina get nothing from the split.

Joe and Tina both played a pivotal role in turning their daughters Jessica and Ashlee into pop superstars.

A rep for the family just released a statement, saying, "It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

Britney Spears has left Calabasas ... and moved into a brand new $8.5 MILLION mansion even further away from all of the Hollywood madness.

The 8,456 square foot home is located inside a swanky private community in Thousand Oaks, CA -- about 16 miles from Brit's old mansion in Calabasas.

The woman who claimed she was torn between voting for Barack Obama or Mitt Romney last night during the Presidential debate tells TMZ, she's STILL undecided -- even after both candidates answered her tax cut question.

You probably recognize her -- her name's Mary Follano, and she asked what the candidates' positions were on tax breaks, and how each prospective administration would make up for losses in government revenue, blah blah blah.

Mitt and Barack both gave stock responses -- feel free to argue, we don't care -- and 54-year-old Follano says she's no closer to a decision now than she was before last night's debate.

Follano tells us, "I see positive things in both their plans ... I look forward to the next debate."

As for her little slip-up -- when she blanked on part of her question -- Follano says she did her best to memorize, but she stumbled at the last second.

FYI -- Follano's a registered Republican who claims she voted for John McCain in 2008. In her words, "He's an American hero."

It's official ... Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez will be the new co-hosts of "X Factor" ... TMZ has confirmed with sources connected to the show.

We broke the story ... Khloe and Mario had been thiiiiiiis close to a deal for months ... but now we've confirmed they've both signed on the dotted line ... it's a done deal.

We're told the duo's salaries will add millions to the budget -- on top of an already enormous talent budget ... with Britney Spears in the lead at $15 mil.

The Deutsche Bank honcho who claims LAPD officers beat the holy hell out of him back in May contacted police 2 days before the alleged beating and confessed he was addicted to bath salts.

TMZ obtained audio ... recorded moments after Brian Mulligan flagged down a Glendale police officer on May 13th -- claiming a helicopter was following him.

FYI -- Mulligan is the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Media and Telecommunications for the bank.

In the audio -- released by the LAPD -- the officer can be heard explaining to Mulligan that there were NO helicopters, and Mulligan was just imagining them.

Mulligan then admits he had recently taken a hallucinogen called "White Lightning" -- a commercial name for "bath salts" -- and appeared to be under the effects of the drug.

When pressed, Mulligan says the last time he took the drug was "two weeks ago" ... but admitted he'd used the drug 20 times since purchasing the stuff at a head shop. He said the first time he experimented he felt like his face was melting off.

Eventually, Mulligan calmed down ... and the cop let him go.

As we reported, Mulligan claims LAPD officers beat him to a bloody pulp on May 15th -- just two days after the helicopter conversation -- and filed a $50 million claim against the City of L.A. The bath salts revelation could torpedo his case because a jury could well believe Mulligan was out of control and LAPD used reasonable force to subdue him.

The woman Taryn Manning allegedly beat to a pulp wants to drop all charges against her ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell us ... Taryn and Holly Hartman have been very close for 5 years. In addition to working as Taryn's makeup artist, Holly and her 2 dogs live with Taryn and the two women even vacation together.

We're told last night they were partying late, and came back to the Dream hotel -- where Lindsay allegedly hit the guy while driving -- and they were "very drunk."

The two started arguing and we're told at around 2 AM it started getting physical, when Taryn allegedly struck Holly in the face with a closed fist, kicked her in the face and torso (Taryn is into karate, so that's gotta hurt) and slammed her head against the floor and wall.

Taryn was in court today on criminal charges of assault and obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

But Taryn's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, tells TMZ that he spoke with Holly, who indicated she did not want to press charges ... and he told the judge this as well. Tacopina says Holly told him she and Taryn love each other very much and she wants this whole thing to just go away.

It's unclear what the D.A. will do.

The L.A. County Sheriff has moved Dr. Conrad Murray into a larger cell -- but the good doc still ain't happy with the upgrade, telling his lawyer, "I'm dying. You gotta save me."

Murray was transferred from a 5'x7' cell to a 8'x10' cell yesterday -- the biggest in the jail -- but he spoke to his lawyer soon after, saying, "I am a condemned prisoner right now. I look in the mirror and I don't even know who I'm looking at."

As we reported, Murray -- who is 6'5" -- has been griping constantly about his living conditions behind bars, claiming he's dying a slow death due to the cramped spaces.

Murray says the new cell doesn't have bars to elevate his leg -- which has become swollen due to a lack of movement. He says the new cell is also more isolated, and he still isn't getting more exercise.

We're told Murray is grateful for the attention -- but it's just not enough.

11:00 AM PT -- According to the criminal complaint, Taryn is accused of punching her makeup artist in the face, kicking her in the face and torso, scratching her, grabbing her by the hair and slamming her against the floor and wall, and choking her.

Taryn was in court this morning for two misdemeanor charges -- assault in the third degree and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

According to law enforcement sources, Taryn is being released from custody on her own recognizance.

Actress Taryn Manning was arrested for allegedly whupping her makeup artist's butt -- and it all went down in Lindsay Lohan's favorite NYC hotel.

According to NYPD, Manning -- star of "8 Mile" and "Hustle and Flow" -- was busted early Thursday morning in her room at the Dream Downtown Hotel ... accused of punching and kicking the woman during a brawl.

Law enforcement sources tell us the alleged victim is Manning's 23-year-old makeup artist.

33-year-old Manning has hired famed defense attorney Joe Tacopina.

"Real Housewives of Miami" star Peter Rosello was arrested for battery today after socking a homeless man in the balls last week, this according to law enforcement.

20-year-old Rosello -- the son of housewife Alexia Echevarria -- was arrested for simple battery, which was categorized as a felony on the police report because Rosello attacked a homeless person.

As we reported, Florida has a law that classifies attacks on homeless people as hate crimes, meaning they carry stricter penalties.

He's currently being held on $5,000 bond.

TMZ broke the story ... Rosello stupidly posted video of the incident online last week, showing him sneaking up on a sleeping homeless man and punching him in the groin. The homeless man was contacted by police shortly after and the man decided to press charges.

Police in Sacramento, CA have interviewed a WWE fan who was punched in the face by CM Punk during a live televised event Monday night ... TMZ has learned.

The incident occurred on "Monday Night Raw" -- when Punk went into the crowd after a match ... and several fans began to get physical with him.

At first, Punk shrugged off the fans ... but the wrestler snapped when someone made contact with the back of Punk's head.

Punk unleashes a punch at the person he thinks hit him ... taking the guy down hard.

The victim met with police shortly after the incident ... and a rep for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept. tells us the man didn't appear to have any major injuries that required medical attention.

But later that night, the victim re-contacted police ... and said he had developed pain in his knees.

Cops say officers took the victim's statement and are determining whether to conduct a full investigation into the matter.

A rep for the WWE tells TMZ, "WWE security was unfortunately not in the appropriate place at the time. Given CM Punk's persona as a 'bad guy' fans were naturally heckling him, but unfortunately a few fans began shoving him and one struck him in the kidney and on the back."
