Lindsay showed up at Pravda -- a caviar bar -- for an event hosted by a company that launched a new karaoke app. She showed up at 7 PM and left at 9.

As far as we can tell ... it was all surprisingly undramatic. She walked in calm, left calm and looked good.

The daughter of the woman who was the inspiration for the famous Birkin bag is dead, after plunging from her Paris apartment building.

Kate Barry, the daughter of Jane Birkin, fell 4 floors to her death Wednesday night. The circumstances of the fall are unclear.

Jane Birkin is an English actress who had a scandalous affair in the 60s with a French singing dude, but her big claim to fame is the ridiculously expensive purse -- ranging in price from $7K to 150K.

Kate Barry was somewhat famous in her own right ... she was a photographer who was published in Vogue, Elle and other mags.

Famed radio DJ and "Disco Duck" singer Rick Dees just got taken to the cleaners -- TMZ has learned someone allegedly broke into his L.A. home and stole roughly $100,000 worth of jewelry.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the burglary went down recently while Dees was out of town. We're told RD's window was smashed in when he got back home ... and his large jewelry collection was missing.

So far, no arrests have been made ... but the LAPD is pouring over surveillance tapes for leads.

Amanda Bynes is wasting no time trying to rebuild her life after rehab ... and plans to hit the books at a private design school because she wants to become a fashion designer, TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Amanda tell us she's enrolled as a student at FIDM -- the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising -- registering under an alias for 2 classes at the Orange County campus.

As we reported ... Amanda was sprung from rehab in Malibu last week and released to her parents' care. She was being treated for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

We're told ... the people close to Amanda believe school will help ease her back into society by giving her some sort of structure for her life. She's taking a light class load -- by design -- and will be escorted to and from her classes.

We're also told ... the treatment that began in rehab will continue during the school year ... Amanda will juggle her classes with 4-times-a-week therapy sessions.

Drake has a new business partner -- MICHAEL JORDAN -- 'cause the rapper just announced he signed a new shoe deal with Nike and MJ ... and he's fired up about it.

Drake made the announcement during a concert last night in Portland -- which also happens to be where Nike's headquarters are located.

During the show, Drake said, "Today I came to Portland, and I officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family." Drake said it was one of the best days of his life.

The rapper then posted a shot of his special OVO Air Jordans to his Instagram page -- it's unclear when they'll hit the market.

The move comes in the wake of Kanye West revealing that he recently pulled out of a deal with Nike because they wouldn't give him royalties on his shoes.

Katt Williams says if Kanye West's going to throw his weight around ... he could do something a lot more important than boycotting a pricey fashion designer.

We talked to Katt at LAX and asked him about Kanye's mission ... to boycott Louis Vuitton because he was snubbed by the company's leaders.

Katt told us, "I would hope that's not what we use all that black power for" ... and said he didn't realize people were all that mad at LV in the first place.

Kanye West just ordered all of New York City to stop buying Louis Vuitton ... STAT!

Kanye was on 92.3 NOW radio station moments ago when he handed down the edict, saying, "Everybody in New York City right now, don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January."

Kanye says he's trying to make a point to the head of Louis Vuitton, Yves Carcelle, who refused to meet with the rapper the last time he was in Paris.

Kanye's point ... Yeezy's got power and influence ... and he's using it to teach Frenchie a lesson.

FYI, Kanye's been on an anti-fashion crusade recently, claiming the world's top designers have essentially blackballed him from the industry because he's a black rapper.

Well, now you can (you should probably stop eating first), 'cause Victoria Beckham is selling some of her old Spice Girls clothes ... and it's all to raise money for the Philippines.

Posh and David Beckham packed up 20 boxes of clothes -- from Spice Girls hoodies to fancy dresses, designer shoes, suits, boots, etc. -- and hauled it to the British Red Cross.

Some of the stuff is actually affordable -- Beckham suit jacket's are on sale for 75 pounds a piece ($121) ... and the money raised from the sale will go towards aiding the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Zach Randolph has some serious 'splainin' to do ... 'cause the Memphis Grizzlies star hit up the L.A. club scene this weekend wearing a CHICAGO BULLS HAT ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.

People in Nick Cannon's life have a problem with Glitter ... someone pretended to be part of Nick's posse and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from Fred Segal.

Here's what happened. A guy who called himself Michael called the Santa Monica store and said he worked for Nick, and, being the hubby of Mariah Carey, he needed some jewelry STAT.

Michael asked the woman from Fred Segal to meet him at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood with the goods. The woman obliged, put the jewelry in a bag and drove to the Hotel.

A guy met the woman at the front door, but it wasn't Michael ... it was a guy claiming to be a security guard and dressed like one. The guy apparently indicated he would take the goods up to Nick's room and come down with cash -- in order to avoid paying taxes.

You guessed it. The woman gave the dude the goods and that was the last she saw of anyone.

The LAPD is on the case.

As for how much the jewelry is worth, let's put it this way. You can't buy a pair of pants at that store for less than $300.
