Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have begun looking for a place to live in Dallas ... TMZ has learned ... but they aren't looking for anything too permanent just yet.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ Khloe flew out to Dallas yesterday to begin the process of looking for a place to live. According to our sources, the couple is only looking to sign a one-year lease because Lamar could only be a Dallas Maverick for this season.

We're told the couple is looking to rent, not buy, and would prefer a 3-bedroom in the $8-15,000/month range.

Lamar Odom's trade to the Mavericks could be a great thing for the Kardashian family business ... 'cause TMZ has learned the family is now hoping to open a DASH store in Dallas.

Sources close to the K-squad tell us ... the family is thrilled that Odom went to Dallas because they have several cousins that live out that way ... and the fam is familiar with the area since Kourtney went to college at SMU.

Khloe is currently in L.A. ... but plans to join up with her hubby in the next couple of days ... and we're told the entire family will head out to Big D to support the couple as soon they can.

As far as DASH is concerned, one source tells us the family is already researching possible store locations ... and they want to move quickly.

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian aren't going to Dallas alone ... camera crews from their E! reality shows will be going with 'em ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to "Khloe and Lamar" and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" tell TMZ ... cameras will definitely follow Lamar's journey to the Dallas Mavericks ... and the move and their life in the Big D will be a plot line in both of the shows.

One well-connected source tells us, "Cameras will follow it all."

Kobe Bryant is blasting rumors that Lamar Odom was traded away from the Lakers because he got involved with the Kardashian reality show empire ... saying, "[Odom] had his best season last season ... clearly it wasn't a distraction."

Kobe spoke with reporters yesterday ... and ripped the organization for dealing Lamar to the Dallas Mavericks ... saying, "I don't like it ... to be honest with you, I don't like it."

Bryant was then asked if the Lakers had become fed up with Lamar's extracurricular camera whoring -- to which Kobe shot back, "You're talking about the Sixth Man of the Year last year ... he played lights out. I don't understand the criticism of reality shows and this, that and the other."

It's official ... the Lakers are dumping Lamar Odom ... hard -- and now, the left-handed forward is packing his bags for Dallas.

The Lakers traded Lamar yesterday to the Mavericks -- last year's champs -- and abandoned their bid for Hornets star Chris Paul in the process.

The Lakers had previously sought Chris Paul as well as Dwight Howard to create their own Big Three with Kobe Bryant -- but now, the team is just focusing on acquiring Howard ... a big relief to the rest of the Western Conference.

Khloe Kardashian is already preparing herself in case Lamar Odom gets traded out of Los Angeles ... and a source close to the family tells TMZ she's open to moving out of L.A. to be with her hubby.

Odom was supposed to be involved in a blockbuster trade for Chris Paul ... but the deal fell through late Thursday night. Still, there's still a chance L.O. could still be headed out of L.A. sometime soon.

We're told Khloe would follow Lamar anywhere ... but she would feel especially comfortable in New Orleans because the family spent TONS of time there when Kim was dating former Saints running back Reggie Bush ... and she already has a bunch of friends who live in town.

Khloe Kardashian was bragging about her birthday gift for hubby Lamar Odom last night -- telling photogs L.O. will get to enjoy some "good ****."

Khloe Kardashian originally debuted a picture of her hubby's new do on her Twitter last week -- showing stars shaved into his typically smooth head.

We're told Lamar had his barber, "G", give him the stars in honor of his cousin -- who used to call him "LaStar" while he played for the Clippers.

Odom's rep Eve Sarkisyan tells TMZ, "Kris Jenner now manages Lamar Odom. He has asked her to manage him off the court a few months ago."

We're told the twosome already smell profit -- according to his rep, "Their first project together would be his and Khloe's fragrance which is set to launch next year."

We're told Kris' other responsibilities include organizing Lamar's paid appearances, setting up endorsement deals, and handling any other personal marketing activities.

While Ron Artest was busy drowning in vodka, sources say Lamar -- who had been battling the flu all week -- made a beeline home because he and Khloe weren't feeling too hot.

To make matters worse -- we're told Khloe had to wake up at 5:30 AM for a photoshoot ... so a night out on the town was a complete impossibility.

Kim Kardashian used her lucky butt to help Reggie Bush secure a Super Bowl ring ... and Khloe Kardashian was the Lakers secret weapon last night ....which means -- logically -- if Kourtney starts bangin' a baseball player, dude practically has a free pass to the World Series.

We're told Khloe has decided go to New York on Tuesday to do "Late Show with David Letterman" and she'll return to L.A. on Thursday to do Leno's show -- the same exact dates as Game 3 and 4, respectively.

Earlier this week, Lamar Odom had expressed concerns for Khloe's safety in Boston -- but we're told that wasn't a factor in her decision.

Khloe will be hawking her reality show -- "Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami."

We kid. Khloe is there because her husband, Lamar Odom, is there with his L.A. Lakers teammates to celebrate their 2009 NBA championship.
