Ariel Winter Feeling Like a Kid Again

Published | Updated

With her guardianship situation settled for the moment, Ariel Winter spent yesterday acting like an actual 14-year-old girl by going go-karting in Burbank.

Winter's sister, Shanelle Gray, cemented her role as temporary legal guardian earlier this month, with her lawyer and dad now in control of her finances.

A hearing to make the guardianship permanent is set for March. Let's hope she gets in as much kid time as possible until then.

Dirk Nowitzki EPIC SHOWDOWN at Children's Hospital

Published | Updated

Will Kolassa.

That name is going to haunt Dirk Nowitzki for years ... 'cause he DOMINATED the NBA superstar when a game of 1-on-1 broke out at a Children's Hospital in Dallas.

It all went down at Children's Medical Center in Dallas last week, where Dirk was handing out gifts to some of the kids.

And that's when it happened ... Dirk (7-footish) challenged Will (4-footish) to some mini-basketball ... and IT WAS ON!!!

Will set the pace early ... dropping a rainbow right over Dirk's head.

Sure, Dirk somehow managed to pull off a dunk ... and he chalked up a pretty nasty rejection ... but in the end, it was all Will.

The kid started off the day as a hardcore Bulls fan ... but now says he'll also root for Dirk.

We're guessing a lot of people are gonna feel that way after watching the clip.

H/T to SportsGrid.

Levi Johnston TRIPPIN' OUT In Family Christmas Photo

Published | Updated

Bristol Palin's DNA will always have a special place in Levi Johnston's Christmas family photo ... at least in the form of the ex-couple's son Tripp, who made a red-sweater'd cameo in this year's snapshot.

The photo was taken last week for the Johnston family Christmas card inside Levi's Wasilla, Alaska home -- and it looks like everyone agreed to wear some kind of plaid ... or argyle ... except for Levi's new wife Sunny Oglesby.

As we first reported, Levi is strongly considering a move to get full custody of Tripp -- believing Bristol is a bad parent ... letting Tripp run amok at home ... talking back, cursing, and disrespecting his elders.

So far, Levi hasn't filed any official paperwork.

NBA Star Gift-filled Holiday Party in Boston Projects

Published | Updated

Boston Celtics star Leandro Barbosa doesn't need a red suit and a beard to play Santa -- in fact, the guard handed out piles of gifts to underprivileged children in Boston yesterday ... wearing nothing but normal street clothes.

A rep for Barbosa tells TMZ, he threw a giant holiday party at the Lenox Housing Development for roughly 80 children -- between the ages of 6 and 16 -- just because he felt like giving back to the community.

Along with a huge array of gifts -- one for each kid -- Barbosa brought 30 delicious PIZZAS.

Mmmmm pizza.

Jessica Simpson's Man & Baby Shop 'Til She Drops

Published | Updated

While Jessica Simpson was probably off somewhere trying to elude photographers from catching a glimpse of her maybe baby bump, her fiancé Eric Johnson and adorable first baby Maxwell went shopping on Melrose Avenue in L.A. on Tuesday.

It must be really hard to get Jess a Christmas gift when you don't know what size to buy her.

Justin, Ashton SWATTER 12 YEARS OLD!!!

Published | Updated

The juvenile who was arrested for phoning in prank 911 calls -- claiming there was gun violence at the homes of Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher -- is only 12 years old ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the boy tell TMZ ... he lives in California with his mother. He refuses to go to school and sits at his computer day and night, communicating with other hackers. We're told he is antisocial, preferring the keyboard to personal contact.

Our sources say Children's Services has been to the boy's apartment multiple times, trying to stabilize the situation, to no avail. We're told the mother has virtually checked out. We're told the family is "incredibly dysfunctional."

Our sources say the boy is smart, but by no means a Zuckerberg-esque genius. Still, he was able to evade cops for months.

We're told law enforcement is sympathetic and steps are afoot to remove the child from the home and place him in a stable foster environment. We're also told authorities are inclined to get the boy counseling rather than mete out punishment -- i.e., place him on probation and if he completes his counseling program all charges will be dismissed.

It's pretty remarkable ... a 12 year old concocted incredible fake scenarios to fool cops ... telling them gun-toting Russian thugs had held people in Ashton's house hostage.

The L.A. County D.A. has yet to make a decision on charging the boy with crimes.

For the record, this kid did a better job than Andrew Garfield.

Stevie Wonder to Charlie Sheen I See Your $75K Cancer Donation & Raise You $25K!

Published | Updated

Stevie Wonder is following Charlie Sheen's lead -- donating a TON of cash to help a little girl fight cancer ... and not that size matters, but Stevie's check was bigger.

Stevie was performing at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. last Saturday when he invited 10-year-old Jasmine Faulk on stage -- and presented her and her dad with a giant $100,000 check.

Stevie crowned the gesture by serenading Faulk with a rendition of "Isn't She Lovely" -- so if you don't feel like getting teary-eyed ... don't watch the video.

Oh yeah, Jasmine also grabbed the mic and said, "I love you Stevie!" before giving him a big adorable hug. Take that, feelings.

TMZ broke the story ... Charlie donated $75,000 to Jasmine's fund last week when he caught wind of her story through his stunt double Eddie Braun. Eddie had already donated $25,000 himself.

As for the Stevie connection ... we're told Jasmine's father -- a Hermosa Beach police officer -- has worked privately for Stevie since 1997.

Edward Furlong Allegedly Exposed 6-Year-Old Son to Cocaine

Published | Updated

Troubled actor Edward Furlong exposed his 6-year-old son to cocaine and should NOT be allowed to be near the child without strict supervision ... this according to court docs filed by his ex-wife ... but Eddie claims it's all BS.

Furlong -- who starred in "Terminator 2" and "American History X" -- appeared in court Friday to fight a court order which forbids him from being alone with his child.

FYI -- Furlong's custody rights had been severely reduced back in November after his ex-wife filed docs claiming the kid tested positive for cocaine after spending time with Edward. Furlong has a storied history of substance abuse.

But Friday in court, Furlong argued that his wife is a liar ... who will do or say whatever it takes to "alienate me further from my son and destroy my ability to work."

In the end, the judge didn't buy what Edward was selling -- and refused to change the custody restrictions already in place. During the hearing, the judge also expressed concern about his poor physical appearance.

Furlong has been on a downward spiral for years ... and was most recently seen wandering the streets of Skid Row in Downtown L.A.

We reached out to Furlong for comment -- so far, no word back.

The last time Halle had a seat that good ... her fiancé was beating her baby daddy senseless.

Brooke Mueller AT WAR With Charlie Over Twins

Published | Updated

Brooke Mueller is so pissed off at Charlie Sheen, she had her relatives rip their twins out of Denise Richards' home, because Denise dared to ask Brooke if the kids could go to Charlie's XMAS party.

We broke the story ... Brooke asked Denise Richards to care for Bob and Max while she went through another round of rehab, and Denise happily obliged. Sources close to Charlie and his exes tell TMZ ... Denise called Brooke Tuesday to tell her she was taking the twins, along with her daughters, to Charlie's "Anger Management" kiddie Christmas party.

Our sources say Brooke exploded, saying, "Absolutely not," adding, that she didn't want Charlie anywhere near the kids. What's more, after the conversation, we're told Denise got a call from one of Brooke's lawyers threatening her if she dared to take the kids to the party.

Denise didn't take the kids, but Brooke was so angry ... the next day Brooke's mother Moira knocked at Denise's door and demanded to take the 2 kids away. Denise obliged.

Charlie wants Denise to care for the kids. In fact, Denise has cared for them many times before ... sometimes for a full month while Brooke dries out. But Brooke now has legal and physical custody, so she's in the driver's seat.

As for why Brooke is so pissed off at Charlie ... we're told it's because Brooke fired their long-time nanny because she called Brooke's mom about her OD ... and Charlie wants to hire the nanny back.

Little Girl to Charlie Sheen I Don't Watch Your Show ... But Thanks for Fighting My Cancer!!!

Published | Updated

The little girl with cancer who received a $75,000 donation check from Charlie Sheen tells TMZ ... she's never seen a single episode of "Anger Management" ... but she's still the actor's biggest fan.

As we reported, Charlie and his stunt double Eddie Braun donated a combined $100,000 to 10-year-old Jasmine Faulk -- the daughter of a Hermosa Beach police officer -- after they caught wind of the girl's dire situation from another cop. Charlie donated $75,000 and Eddie donated $25,000.

Now, Jasmine wants to publicly thank Charlie and Eddie for their overwhelming generosity, telling TMZ, "I think they have a great heart ... They don't even know me."

As for "Anger Management" and "Two and a Half Men," Jasmine says, "I don't really watch those shows. I watch kids shows."

... Probably better that way.

Ariel Winter Dad Now Controls Her Estate ... With Conditions

Published | Updated

Ariel Winter's dad now has control over her estate -- namely her finances -- which was part of the settlement struck today outside the courtroom ... BUT the dad can't make a move without dealing with a group of professional advisers who work directly for Ariel.

Glenn Workman just got the green light from the judge to manage Ariel's money. Interesting ... considering Glenn filed a declaration in the case calling Ariel "my retirement surprise child." But here's the deal ... Glenn can't make business decisions without first discussing them with Ariel's lawyer, Blair Berk and others. If he disagrees with the advisers, a judge is the tiebreaker.

Under the terms of the settlement, Ariel's sister, Shanelle, will remain the guardian of Ariel, meaning Ariel's mom, Chrystal, has been cut out of everything.

The move is temporary, but could become permanent in March.

The settlement was struck before a court fight over the guardianship ... a fight that promised to be ugly.

After today's settlement, Ariel's brother Jimmy Workman told reporters his family would be seeking therapy and counseling to get back together. Jimmy said his father is "happy and thrilled" with the settlement and so is his mom.

We also asked if Ariel's relationship with her older boyfriend would continue from here -- and Jimmy replied, "I hope it doesn't. This young man is over the age of 18. He should know better. It's completely disgusting that he does this."

Ariel Winter Settlement With Mom in the Works

Published | Updated

9:14 AM PDT: Based on our sources and conversations at the courthouse, it's becoming clear ... Ariel's sister, Shanelle, will become her guardian and the mother will essentially lose custodial rights.

Sources tell us Ariel Winter and her mother, Chrystal Workman, have worked out a settlement in the "Modern Family" star's guardianship case -- and attorneys for both sides are hammering out details right now ... TMZ has learned.

We're told the lawyers are in the courthouse where a hearing was scheduled to go down today ... possibly to determine if Ariel's mom or her older sister Shanelle Gray would be granted permanent guardianship.

Chrystal is waiting outside the courtroom, and just said loudly ... "They're stripping everything from me."

Shanelle has been Ariel's guardian since allegations surfaced back in October that Chrystal was emotionally and physically abusing Ariel.

Story developing ...
