Miguel A. Nunez Jr. is sharing an update on a potential "Juwanna Mann 2" ... telling TMZ Sports he's hoping to land two of the biggest current WNBA superstars for the project -- Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

Of course, the actor revealed to us a few years ago a follow-up to the 2002 comedy was in the works ... and while it hasn't hit the big screen just yet, he's still confident it IS happening -- folks just gotta be a bit more patient.

We asked if that kinda storyline would work in 2025 -- a male basketball star disguising himself as a woman to play in their league -- Nunez Jr. actually thinks now is the perfect time.

A former TV anchor was reportedly arrested in connection with the stabbing death of her elderly mother Friday.

Angelynn Mock -- a 47-year-old woman who anchored St. Louis' local station Fox 2 about 10 years ago -- was taken into police custody in Wichita, Kansas after her 80-year-old mother, Anita Avers, was found in bed with multiple stab wounds, the Daily Mail reports. Avers was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Wichita Police Department told the Daily Mail they responded around 8 in the morning and found Mock outside the home while her mother was lying inside bleeding.

Colin Jost and Pete Davidson aren't ready to give up their captain's hats yet ... 'cause we've learned the two are no longer looking to sell the Staten Island Ferry they purchased.

George says the woman appeared intoxicated and rejected the guy, who she claimed she didn’t know, as he tried to convince her to leave with him.

According to George, the woman tried to run off, but the man grabbed her and threw her over his shoulder. That’s when George stepped in, warning the guy to put her down or things would get ugly fast.

F1 driver Charles Leclerc just threw his relationship with Alexandra Saint Mleux into high gear ... he's announced they're engaged!

Duane Roberts -- the billionaire businessman credited with inventing the frozen burrito -- has died ... TMZ has learned.

In a statement, his wife, Kelly J. Roberts says he passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday night, just days shy of his 89th birthday. He was surrounded by family and their three dogs when he died.

A teenage birthday party promoted on social media turned into a night of chaos and gunfire in Ohio, with police confirming nine people were injured after shots rang out at a packed Airbnb rental.

Two suspects were rounded up by police after they went on a stabbing spree aboard a train in England, leaving 10 people injured ... nine of them critically.

The bloody rampage -- now being investigated by terrorism cops -- occurred Saturday night just after the train departed Peterborough Station in Cambridgeshire, about 74 miles north of London, according to The Sunday Times.

Once the train arrived at its next stop, Huntington Station, also in Cambridgeshire, dozens of armed police officers hopped aboard to investigate after receiving reports passengers were being attacked, The Times said.
