Don't stick a fork in Tim Tebow ... 'cause he ain't done in the NFL just yet ... at least according to NY Giants quarterback David Carr.

Carr -- the #1 overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft -- was at LAX last night when we asked him if Tebow's release from the Jets signaled the end for the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Despite the media funeral for Tim's career, Carr still thinks there's hope.

Here's hoping Tim Tebow has developed a taste for women's undergarments ... because TMZ has learned, the teamless QB has just been offered a new job with the "Lingerie" Football League.

The LFL -- now known as Legends Football League -- sent Tebow's agent a letter moments ago, offering the former Jets QB a swanky new coaching position ... after the Jets fired his ass this morning.

LFL President Mitchell Mortaza writes, "Now that it appears Mr. Tim Tebow's career in the National Football League may be coming to an end, we at Legends Football League would like to extend him an offer to become our Quarterbacks Coach nationally."

Tebow will no longer have the opportunity to deliver the New York Jets from evil, 'cause the team cut his ass ... just days after drafting another QB with a more fluid throwing motion (Geno Smith).

Jets coach Rex Ryan said in a release today, "We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow. Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward."

The Jets acquired Tebow last year in a trade, but he threw only eight passes this past season. The move cost the Jets over $4 million.

Forget the NFL, Tim Tebow's playing for Team Jesus next year ... ON THE BIG SCREEN ... at least if a faith-based indie film producer gets his way.

Producer David Dginguerian -- who makes a bunch of Jesus-y movies including the recent "Crossroad" -- just sent Tim's people a letter, saying the holy QB is the perfect candidate to star in his next film.

David writes, "You are an inspiration to so many on the field and off, and I am certain that your passion will also come through in films."

It's unclear how much David's willing to cough up for Tim's services -- but if they're paying for Tim's acting chops, they might get a good deal ...

We reached out to Tebow's reps ... so far no word back.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan capped off his train wreck of a season with ANOTHER major accident last week in Pennsylvania -- this time involving his red Mustang and two other cars ... after Rex reportedly ran a red light.

Rex was driving along a road in Bethlehem, PA around 6PM last Monday when he allegedly ran the light and rammed another car -- which then crashed into a third vehicle ... this according to Deadspin.com.

According to the report, Rex denied to police that he was speeding ... but did NOT deny running the red light.

Police described the damage to all three vehicles as "moderate." There were no injuries. So far, no word if Rex was cited in connection with the accident.

It's unclear why Rex was driving around Bethlehem last week -- but there's talk he was in town to meet with the Jets brand new offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg (previously of the Eagles).

Jets nightmare QB Mark Sanchez better clean up his act if he wants his jersey to stay on Rex Ryan's arm -- so says the head coach, who claimed he'll ink a NEW number onto his infamous tattoo ... if Mark doesn't start playing better.

Rex was questioned about the tat during a news conference today -- and Rex joked, "Obviously, if Sanchez doesn’t play better, that number’s changing. That’s a given."

As we reported, Rex unveiled the bizarre tattoo while on vacation in the Bahamas last week -- a tat of what appears to be his naked wife wearing ONLY a Mark Sanchez jersey.

During the news conference, Rex insisted the tat's just a coincidence -- claiming he got the ink job long before Sanchez came to the Jets.

Rex said, "It’s funny. It’s actually a tattoo I’ve had for like three years ... I’ve been married for 25 years, and through my eyes, my wife’s the most beautiful woman in the world. So that’s what it is."

Big Rex set the NY tabloids on fire when he was seen sporting a tattoo on his right arm of his wife wearing only a jersey of embattled Jets QB Mark Sanchez.

Tattoo or no tattoo, we prefer our Rex with as much clothing on as possible.

Tattoos of quarterbacks is a hot topic since it was discovered yesterday that Rex Ryan, head coach of the hapless New York Jets, has a tattoo on his arm of his wife ... wearing nothing but a Mark Sanchez jersey.

We posed the question to Carroll today as he gets ready to take on the NFC East champion Washington Redskins tomorrow. His answer was short, sweet and to the point.

After the Jets' horrendous season there's been talk that Sanchez could be traded ... so the ink could simply be a vote of confidence.

But the bigger issue ... why in the world would Rex use his wife to send that message?? Or maybe she's actually into Sanchez?

All fair questions ... considering Rex and Michelle's alleged fetish history.

We don't know if the tat is permanent, but it's worth nothing ... no Tim Tebow ink.

UPDATE: Upon further review the woman seems to be "Tebowing" (she also seems to be wearing no underwear). So ... mixed message?

Hayden Panettiere and her football player boyfriend Scotty McKnight are officially broken up ... this according to sources close to the couple.

Sources tell us ... the two broke up a couple of weeks ago ... but it wasn't a nasty breakup. We're told the two are still "really good friends."

One source tells us, "They will probably be back together sometime down the road."

Scotty -- who played for the NY Jets -- is the 2nd pro athlete Hayden has dated -- she was with pro boxer Wladimir Klitschko for a year and a half starting in late 2010.

Meanwhile, Hayden's already showing signs of post-breakup hotness ... as demonstrated below in a screen grab from her show "Nashville."

Tim Tebow may be a couple of yards closer to scoring, because he's kinda gone public with his new GF Camilla Belle. Both say they're pure as the driven snow. So we gotta ask ...

Tim Tebow has finally scored -- problem is, it's off the field -- because TMZ got the first pic showing Tim with his hot new girlfriend/actress, who is no stranger to famous virgins.

Tim and Camilla Belle showed up at Latitude 30 in Jacksonville, Florida Tuesday night, where they bowled and partied.

Camilla has a history with other putatively pure celebs. She dated Joe Jonas for awhile, but they split up in 2009.

People who were at Latitude 30 last night tell us ... Tim and Camilla were overly affectionate throughout the evening, holding hands and touching.

Camilla's rep didn't get back to us, but sources connected with Camilla tell us they are definitely an item.

9:40 AM PT -- People at the restaurant are saying ... actress Camilla Belle -- who starred in the movie "Push" -- was also inside the joint while Tim was there.

It's unclear if Camilla and Tim were together ... or if it was just a coincidence.

Fun Fact -- Tim and Camilla were on the red carpet together at the Met Gala in NY back in May (pictured below).

Here's a photo that'll definitely fuel some trade rumors ... NY Jets QB (?) Tim Tebow at a restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida last night ... 11 miles from the stadium where the Jaguars play.

The pic was taken at Latitude 30 ... where Tebow was hanging out with some lady friends ... including a woman who is rumored to be his GF.

There are reports floating around Jacksonville that Tebow will be traded from the Jets to the Jags by Thursday's NFL trade deadline ... but so far, it seems to be nothing more than talk.

BTW -- Tebow grew up in the Jacksonville area ... and went to school at UF ... so it's possible he was just visiting friends.

Mark Sanchez and Eva Longoria proved the old adage it's never one person's fault when a couple breaks up -- instead, there are 53 people to blame ... and they all have J-E-T-S on their helmets!

It wasn't another woman that got between Mark Sanchez and Eva Longoria ... it was 52 other men ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the former couple tell us ... they broke up because Mark was impossible for Eva to be around because he was in such a crappy mood over the NY Jets' horrible season.

As one source puts it, "It's hard to maintain a relationship when one person is upset all the time."

FYI -- the Jets are 3-4 and coming off another heartbreaking loss to Tom Brady's Patriots.

NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez has just lost his best wide receiver ... Eva Longoria.

Eva's rep has confirmed ... the two have officially called it quits after several months of dating.

Chalk up another loss for Sanchez (25 years old) -- who already took a beating from the Patriots this weekend.

As for Eva (37 years old) ... at least she won't have to remove any body ink from her body this time.
