11:05 AM PT -- Denzel Perryman's tells TMZ his team is "still gathering facts and will fully cooperate with the process" following his arrest on Friday.

He adds ... "Denzel is a respected veteran in the NFL and a dedicated father, teammate, and professional. While we do not take this situation lightly, we remain confident that the matter will be resolved fairly and in accordance with the law."

Denzel Perryman, a linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers, was arrested on Friday in Los Angeles, TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources ... the NFL player was picked up by the South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station officers Friday evening and booked on a felony charge of possessing an assault weapon.

We're told he was en route to the gun range when cops searched his car and found he had 2 AR rifles and 3 handguns in his trunk -- with the rifles being non-compliant, which is illegal in California.

Grasu's been a football player ever since his youth, and he joined the roster of the University of Oregon -- which Ionescu also attended -- in 2010.

Grasu was part of the squad that won the Rose Bowl twice, and he went on to become a third-round pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The professional football player spent a total of seven seasons in the NFL as a center, and he played for several teams, including the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.

Grasu was most recently with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he was traded in 2021 and remained until 2023.

Hroniss And Sabrina Went Instagram Official In 2021

Ionescu and Grasu let their fans know about their relationship in 2021, when they went Instagram official as a couple.

The pair dated for two more years until the professional football player got down on one knee and proposed to the athlete, which she documented on her Instagram account.

The point guard later shared a video on her TikTok account, telling her fans she was "completely shocked and caught off guard" by her partner's proposal.

Ionescu then added Grasu had "played it off so well" prior to popping the big question, and recalled she "couldn’t stop taking pictures with my ring" in the hours following the proposal.

The Two Tied The Knot At A Beachfront Wedding Ceremony

The athletes made things official between them at their wedding ceremony, which was attended by Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally, Vanessa Bryant, and former NBA power forward and center Pau Gasol, according to ESPN.

Ionescu made several comments about her wedding in an interview with People, and described the event as "the highlight" of her offseason.

The athlete and her husband, both of whom are of Romanian heritage, had "25 to 30" of their extended family members flown to America for the special occasion.

Ionescu then noted she was "still getting used to saying that I have a husband."

Shane Tamura -- the gunman behind Monday's deadly mass shooting in Manhattan -- was a "quiet, hard worker" during his high school football days, his former coach said following the tragedy.

Tamura, 27, was a former running back at Granada Hills Charter school in Southern California in the mid-2010s before he gunned down four people, including an NYPD officer, at 345 Park Avenue on Monday.

His former assistant coach, Walter Roby, told FOX 11 that he was a "quiet" kid and a "hard worker" who was easy to coach after transferring to Granada Hills from Golden Valley.

The shooter who targeted the NFL headquarters in New York and opened fire died by suicide by shooting himself in the chest ... an unusual move, and it appears he wanted his brain preserved to prove a point.

Investigators found a 3-page suicide note on 27-year-old Shane Tamura's body claiming he had CTE, our law enforcement sources say. CTE is a degenerative brain disease found in individuals with a history of repeated head impacts, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Police say the gunman wanted his brain studied and that's why he used the unusual means to end his life.
