Gerry Turner is opening up about the brutal public backlash after his split with Theresa Nist ... admitting the 'Golden Bachelor' heartbreak hit him so hard, he spiraled into suicidal thoughts.

TMZ has obtained an excerpt of Gerry's upcoming memoir, "Golden Years" ... and he writes that after announcing his divorce just 3 months in last year, the negative reaction got so brutal he hit rock bottom ... writing, "One night, while I was lying in bed and staring at the ceiling, it all became too much, and for the briefest moment, I thought about putting a gun to my head."

In the excerpt, Gerry explains he’s always had a "marathon mentality" -- pushing through pain knowing it would pass. But he admitted that at the time, the agony felt endless.

Mexican-American actress Vanessa Villela was 43 years old when she sold her luxurious Los Angeles homes and played mediator on Netflix's popular reality real-estate show, "Selling Sunset" back in 2021.

Vanessa joined the dramatic cast that also featured Chrishell Stause ... who was going through her divorce from Justin Hartley ... and Mary Bonet, who was in the midst of a friend break-up with fellow real estate agent Christine Quinn.

Vanessa -- who's also an actress -- (attempted) to mend the fence between Christine and the other women but was unsuccessful. However, she DID sell her Malibu property 😉!

Stause says it's "all good" ... adding she couldn't go anyway because she was in New York City making an appearance on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live.'

The New York City Marathon brought out tons of participants ... including some recognizable reality stars who got real about their race day experiences.

It makes total sense -- Chris says "The Bachelorette" taught him how to interview and think on the spot, while also giving him a fantastic platform ... while hosting gigs with HGTV allowed him to learn from all sorts of people around the states. Looks like Ye's fascination for the conspiratorial may have rubbed off on Kim Kardashian ... she's convinced the 1969 moon landing was faked.
