How Syko Stu Received A Beatdown At A Wrestling Match

Published

Professional wrestler Stuart "Syko Stu" Smith became the subject of intense attention in August 2025 when a video of his beatdown at the hands of Raja Jackson went viral on social media.

The wrestling figure's appearance at an event for KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles turned into a nightmare when Raja, a pro MMA fighter, pummeled the Army veteran into apparent unconsciousness in front of the crowd.

We're going to take a look at how the competitor entered the world of professional wrestling and how he started a period of recovery after the violent incident.

Smith's A Veteran Who Turned To Wrestling To Deal With PTSD

Smith served in the U.S. Army, and he began wrestling in 2009, starting his career just six months after leaving the service.

The wrestler spoke about his decision to turn to the sport in a promotional video for Knokx Pro, expressing he "needed something to focus on" when he returned to civilian life.

Smith also described himself as having dealt with post-traumatic stress disorder, and he said wrestling helped him "adjust" to life outside the armed forces.

He said being in front of a crowd didn't give him "as much anxiety and aggression" as he had expected.

Smith Was Apparently Beaten Into Unconsciousness

Smith and Jackson's first interaction at the event took place prior to the official start of the wrestling match ... the wrestler was seen smashing a beer can into Raja's head on a live stream, although they appeared to mend their differences shortly afterward.

The MMA fighter entered the ring in the middle of Smith's subsequent match, picked up the wrestler, and body-slammed him on the mat, after which he punched Smith multiple times in the head.

Several other wrestlers entered the ring to pull Jackson off Stu, who appeared unconscious during and after the beatdown.

Wrestling reporter Sean Ross later claimed the pair had planned out Jackson's entry into the ring ... although the MMA fighter apparently went way over the line with his punches.

He Ended Up In The Hospital After The Attack

Smith was taken to a hospital after the violent incident, and Ross reported Smith suffered "serious injuries" during the beatdown.

Wrestler Douglas Malo -- one of the individuals who pulled Jackson off Smith -- told USA Today the competitor had several broken bones in his face, as well as missing teeth.

The wrestler's brother Andrew posted on Facebook two days after the event that Stu was "conscious and able to talk" ... although he was facing a lengthy recovery.

Smith's wife Contessa set up a GoFundMe to offset her husband's recovery costs, and professional wrestler Chris Jericho showed his support by contributing a donation of $2,500.

How Raja Jackson Ended Up In Hot Water After Attacking A Wrestler

Published | Updated

Raja Jackson followed in the footsteps of his father, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, as he's made a name for himself for his actions in the ring.

The thing is, the MMA fighter's son's appearance at a wrestling event put on by KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles in August 2025 instantly became infamous, as he repeatedly punched unconscious wrestler Syko Stu in the ring.

We're going to take a look into Raja's background and see how his actions resulted in a huge public backlash.

Raja Followed His Father Into The MMA World

Raja decided he wanted to follow his father into the MMA world in his early adulthood, and his first amateur bout took place in 2021, according to Sherdog.

The athlete won his first fight, and he went on to come out on top in his second and third amateur matchups in 2022.

Raja began competing in professional fights in 2023, and he'd racked up one win and one loss by the time he encountered Syko Stu in the wrestling ring.

Raja's built up 30,000 followers on his Instagram account, where he's shared various photos documenting his journey in MMA.

Raja And Syko Stu Had An Altercation Prior To The Show

Jackson and Syko Stu were first seen interacting prior to the official start of the wrestling event, when Stu slammed a beer can into the MMA fighter's head ... after which they appeared to sort things out before the match.

However, Raja, who live-streamed much of the event, later entered the ring, picked up the wrestler in the middle of the match and body-slammed him ... then punched him a bunch of times in a row, as Stu laid motionless on the mat.

Multiple wrestlers jumped into the ring to pull Jackson off of the unconscious Syko Stu ... and Raja was dragged out of the venue.

Wrestling reporter Sean Ross later claimed the pair's altercation had been planned ... though the punches were apparently unscripted. Syko Stu was later hospitalized, and a GoFundMe was set up for his recovery.

Raja's Actions Were Met With Widespread Disapproval

Raja's beatdown of Syko Stu went viral on social media, and it was met with plenty of reactions, many of which were loudly negative.

The MMA fighter's father, Rampage, posted a message about the incident on his X account and said his son "had no business" being involved in a wrestling match. Rampage also said he didn't "condone my son’s actions AT ALL!"

KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy issued a statement of their own, describing the incident as an "irresponsible act of violence" and described Raja's actions as "reprehensible."

Raja's beatdown of Syko Stu has also caught the attention of the LAPD, and they're currently looking into the violent incident.

Hulk Hogan Was Married 3 Times Before His Death

Published

The wrestling world was left mourning in July 2025 when we reported former WWE Champion Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71.

Even more affected than his fans was the legendary wrestler's extended family, including his wife Sky Daily -- and two ex-wives, Linda Hogan and Jennifer McDaniel.

We're going to look back at the marital history of the late professional wrestler and see what happened in his personal life over the course of each of his marriages.

Hulk Started A Family With His First Wife

The first of the former WWE Champion's three marriages was to Linda ... the couple tied the knot in 1983.

Hulk and Linda started a family with the birth of their daughter Brooke in 1988, and they welcomed son Nick two years later.

The Hogan family's personal life became the subject of intense media attention with the premiere of the reality show "Hogan Knows Best" in 2005, and the show ran for four seasons, with the series finale airing in 2007.

The thing is, Hulk and Linda's marriage didn't last for long after the show ended, as Linda filed for divorce in 2007 ... and the pair's union was officially dissolved two years later.

The Professional Wrestler's Second Marriage Lasted Over A Decade

The wrestler moved on shortly after the end of his marriage to Linda, and he began dating Jennifer McDaniel in 2008, according to E! News.

Hulk and McDaniel eventually decided to make things official, and they got married in a ceremony in Clearwater, Florida, in 2010.

The pair were together for 11 more years before the New World Order wrestler filed for divorce in 2021, the year their marriage was dissolved -- and he had to throw in a new car for McDaniel as part of their settlement.

Hulk didn't make an announcement about his divorce until February 2022 -- at which point he already had a new girlfriend.

Hulk Got Hitched To A Yoga Instructor

So, it turns out that new girlfriend was Sky Daily, a mom-of-three who was working as a yoga instructor when she met Hogan.

We revealed the pair got engaged in July 2023 after the wrestler popped the question at a restaurant in Tampa, Florida, and they tied the knot that September.

The pair remained together until Hulk's death two years later ... she shared an emotional message on her Instagram account to let fans know she believed he would have "more time," despite going through health issues.

And it turns out Sky's got a few more things to take care of after his funeral, as we revealed she has authority over the decision to have an autopsy performed on her late husband.

Brooke Hogan Started A Family ... After Becoming Estranged From Her Parents

Published | Updated

While Hulk Hogan's death affected much of the wrestling world, it hit his family -- including his daughter Brooke -- especially hard.

The thing is, the late wrestler's eldest child wasn't present when the WWE champion was laid to rest, as she'd been estranged from her family for an extended period of time.

We're going to take a look at the background of the performer's daughter ... and examine what drove them apart.

Brooke's a Mother of Two

Hogan shared his daughter Brooke and his son Nick with his first wife, Linda ... who he married in 1983 and divorced in 2009.

The professional wrestler's daughter got engaged to former Dallas Cowboys center Nick Costa, although they broke things off in 2013 before saying their vows.

She eventually moved on with former professional ice hockey player Steven Oleksy, and they made things official between them, marrying in June 2022.

Brooke and Oleksy started a family in 2025, when they welcomed a pair of fraternal twins named Oliver and Molly.

She's Established Herself as a Singer

Brooke began her singing career in 2006 when she released her debut album, "Undiscovered" ... followed up by a record titled "The Redemption," released three years later.

She's also released several EPs, a mixtape, and numerous singles over the course of her musical career.

In addition to her work as a singer, Brooke's appeared on various television shows, including starring in the reality series "Brooke Knows Best," which ran for two seasons.

The late wrestler's daughter has since begun a career in interior design, and she founded her own design company, BB Designs By Brooke, in 2018.

Brooke Was Estranged From Her Father ... and Her Mother

Brooke's family life hasn't exactly been the smoothest, however, and she was estranged from her father at the time of his death.

We revealed the two hadn't spoken since 2023 shortly after Hulk died, as their relationship had been affected by issues over the years.

And that's not all ... her mother shared a video on her Instagram account in March 2025, claiming Brooke had "cut me out" and hadn't spoken to her in "almost eight years."

Brooke responded with an Instagram post of her own, in which she stated there were "completely separate reasons" for the distance she'd created between herself and each of her parents.

The Wrestler's Daughter Didn't Attend His Funeral

Following Hogan's death at the age of 71, he was memorialized at a funeral service in Largo, Florida ... where celebs like Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Ric Flair gathered to pay their last respects to the wrestler.

But, Brooke was a no-show at the event -- she explained her decision to skip the event by sharing a post on her Instagram account, claiming her father "hated the morbidity of funerals."

She said she honored her late father by taking a trip to the beach with her husband and their children.

Brooke added the "only thing missing" at the beach was her dad, who she wrote would have enjoyed sitting in a pop-up chair and watching the waves and the sunset.
