And, more than two decades later, the 46-year-old hot mama still turns heads ... most recently at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards earlier this month (right).

It's Friday the 13th ... so what better day to find out a new film in the popular slasher franchise may be on the way?!

Here's the deal ... there hasn't been a 'Jason' film in several years ... and we're told it's all been a matter of rights issues -- both between the two creators and two major studios. But it seems those issues will likely be resolved ... and a new film project is being crafted.

Franchise co-creator Sean Cunningham tells TMZ ... a film treatment for an "old school" Jason flick is done ... and he's hopeful that, with the mega-merger of Warner Bros. and Paramount, the project will gain serious traction because he says both studios have rights --and that's been a major hurdle.

Teyana Taylor is gearing up for the Oscars, but she’s trying not to think too far ahead ... even though it could very well be her name that gets called for Best Supporting Actress Sunday night.

We caught up with Teyana at L.A. hotspot Mr. Chow during a pre-Oscars party Thursday ... where she told us she’s nervously planning to write a speech -- "just in case" she wins for her role in "One Battle After Another."

Netflix dropped the news on Thursday, posting on X ... "IT'S OFFICIAL HUNTERS -- KPOP DEMON HUNTERS will return for a sequel written and directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans."

Paris Jackson is giving an update on her back-and-forth with Colman Domingo over the "Michael" biopic ... and it sounds like the two cleared the air after some crossed wires.
