An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of New York Jets player Kris Boyd ... a person of interest was taken into custody in Buffalo on Monday, TMZ Sports confirmed.

Law enforcement sources say a 20-year-old man was arrested in Western New York just hours ago ... and is currently on his way back to the Big Apple to face charges in the case.

NYPD and U.S. Marshals were both part of the apprehension.

Things got heated between Jamahal Hill and Joanna Jędrzejczyk at an event in Vegas this weekend ... the former light heavyweight champ threatened to knock out the former women's strawweight title holder, and the altercation was captured on video.

"Do not touch my girl or I'm gonna knock you the f*** out," 34-year-old Hill was heard yelling at 38-year-old Jędrzejczyk.

Joanna responded, "Yes, you will?" ... to which Jamahal clapped back, "period."

Outside of the tense exchange, details surrounding the incident aren't clear ... but from what we know, things never turned physical, and cooler heads ultimately prevailed.

Reaction to the dust-up has been mixed.

Some applauded Hill for apparently standing up for his girlfriend against one of the most dangerous female fighters in the world, while others have knocked him for threatening a woman, no less one who's significantly smaller than him.

Of course, Hill, who was champ in 2023, fights at 205 lbs. ... in the light heavyweight division.

Jędrzejczyk, a 2024 UFC Hall of Fame inductee, was strawweight champ for years (between early-2015 and late-2017), where she competed at 115 lbs.

Neither Joanna nor Jamahal has yet commented on the incident.

A courtside heckler learned the hard way that Omar from "The Wire" wasn't kidding when he said "come at the king, you best not miss" ... 'cause the spectator tried to clown LeBron James over his hairline -- but it hilariously backfired!!

The fun interaction happened on Sunday during the Los Angeles Lakers' road game against the Philadelphia Sixers at the Wells Fargo Center.

When James was standing near the expensive seats, a guy saw an opportunity and yelled, "You still ain't got no hair though" -- clearly not ready for LBJ's response.

Alessandro Antonicelli, a famous fitness influencer from Italy, is dead after a two-year battle with cancer.

The fitness influencer's official Instagram page, where he had more than 193K followers, announced his death over the weekend ... "Today, the world feels a little emptier: Ale has flown away, free from pain, finding the peace he deserved."

The statement continues ... "We know how much you loved and supported him, but now we ask you to protect his family, girlfriend, and friends during this painful time."

Utah Tech guard Chance Trujillo's retaliatory punch after getting dunked on in a game last week earned him a one-game suspension, the school told TMZ Sports.

The altercation happened on December 3 ... when the UT Trailblazers played against the Santa Clara Broncos at the Leavey Center. SC's Allen Graves went up for a slam late in the game ... and Trujillo tried to block it, but failed.

Graves posterized Trujillo and bumped into him while he celebrated ... which led to the violent scene on the court.

That outburst has now cost him some playing time.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's dining room table just got a little more crowded this holiday season ... as his daughter, Simone (AKA Ava), just went official with her girlfriend -- NXT wrestler Tatyanna Dumas!

The couple shared a heartwarming Instagram Reel on their respective accounts on Sunday ... featuring a bunch of PDA and joint adventures they've had together.

Former Memphis Tigers football player La'Andre Thomas died in an officer-involved shooting in Georgia last week after allegedly pulling a gun on cops ... an incident that is under investigation. He was 27.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the Sandy Springs Police Department was dispatched to the Dunwoody Place area around 10:30 AM on December 4th ... after a 911 caller claimed a man was assaulting her while she was walking her dog.

The GBI says Sandy Springs officers identified the man as Thomas after reviewing surveillance and located the 27-year-old at a bus stop near the 8000 block of Dunwoody Place.

Swift's a regular feature at Chiefs games ... while she wasn't in Dallas for K.C.'s Thanksgiving match against the Cowboys, she was on the edge of her seat during the Chiefs' nail-biter against the Indianapolis Colts ... Selena, on the other hand, looked seemingly confused.

A security guard working the Jacksonville Jaguars game vs. the Indianapolis Colts found himself closer to the action than he could have ever expected ... getting sent to the ground after wide receiver Michael Pittman was shoved into him.

The incident went down with a little over 10 minutes to go in the third quarter. Indy quarterback Riley Leonard found Pittman sitting in the end zone ... a touchdown that was ultimately called back due to offensive pass interference.

Before that call, Jaguars defensive back Montaric Brown gave Pittman a healthy shove after the catch -- sending him right into the stadium worker, who wound up on the wet field.

Even though he lost to Jake Paul in 2022, Anderson Silva has nothing but praise for the guy ... telling TMZ Sports El Gallo deserves more credit for not only what he's done for boxing -- but for his fighting skills, too.

Shaquil Barrett isn't reconsidering his decision to retire ... telling TMZ Sports he's done with football -- and NFL teams don't need to waste their time trying to change his mind.

The two-time Super Bowl champ made it clear this week after announcing his decision ... even though he worked out with the Indianapolis Colts just over a month ago.

"I'm not really chasing the NFL dream anymore, so I'm not just gonna be out there doin' NFL workouts every day to stay ready because I'm not that hungry for it anymore," Barrett said.

Cops investigating the break-in at former Lakers player Christian Wood's rental home believe the intruders used a pizza delivery method to see if anyone was home before making a move ... this according to a search warrant obtained by TMZ Sports.

According to the search warrant, a Domino's pizza delivery driver walked up to the residence -- an Airbnb in Sherman Oaks -- at around 12:30 PM on November 5 ... the day of the break-in.

Cops say Wood, who was home at the time, did not answer ... as he was not expecting a pie to be dropped off on his doorstep.

The boxing world says Anthony Joshua must not simply leave the ring with a win on the judges' scorecards -- he must also DEMOLISH Jake Paul -- and AJ actually agrees, telling TMZ Sports he sees it the same way!

36-year-old Joshua, former two-time unified heavyweight champion, chopped it up with Babcock on Saturday, less than two weeks before the highly anticipated December 19, where the guys discussed training, the enormous payday, potential retirement, and whether he must KO Paul.

"I really understand where they're coming from. I understand. I get it," AJ said, addressing the idea he must walk away with a knockout.

"I know the expectations and demands these fans have. And I respect it. If I didn’t respect it, I’d be honest with you and say, 'No they’re talking rubbish,' but I do. I do get it because I hold myself in that same regard, so I need to [KO Jake] and that’s my intention, to seek and destroy!"

And it seems that's just about what everyone expects to happen in downtown Miami next Friday night ... except for 28-year-old Paul, who says he's going to shock the world.

We asked Joshua if he thinks Paul believes he's actually going to win, or if it's just all false bravado.

"I do think he believes [he's going to beat me]," AJ said, which is why he says he's "not preparing for the person everyone thinks he is," but rather "preparing for the person he thinks he is."

50 million or more people globally could watch the fight on Netflix, and with that comes a big ass bag ... so we asked Anthony if this would be the biggest payday of his career.

Somewhat surprisingly, he said no.

"Unfortunately, it's not."

We also asked AJ about the reported clause in the Paul-Joshua contract that states he must not weigh over 245 lbs. for weigh-ins, about 6-7 lbs. lighter than he has recently fought.

"On fight night, I may come in a couple of pounds heavier," Anthony said, "but if I’m honest with you, I really do like this weight. It’s actually been a blessing in disguise that this task was put upon me because I feel good."

Joshua went on to explain he's feeling quicker, while still maintaining his devastating punching power.

AJ also addressed the idea that there's a clause in his contract dictating he must go easy on Jake ... something he says is flat out untrue.

Anthony has obviously accomplished everything a boxer could ever dream of, and although it might not be the fattest check of his life, Jake comes with a lucrative payday ... so, could this be the last time we ever see him in the squared circle?
