Dolly Parton's death came as a sudden and unexpected shock to those closest to her ... even though people in her inner circle knew she had been sick ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... when loved ones learned Dolly had been hospitalized last week and wasn't doing well, they began rushing to Nashville to be by her side.

We're told they did not expect she would die during this hospital stay, believing she would recover and be released as she had following past health setbacks.

12:52 PM PT -- Dolly Parton's death came as a sudden and unexpected shock.

11:34 AM PT -- TMZ has learned Dolly was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville on early Friday morning with kidney and autoimmune issues.

We're told Dolly died in the hospital this morning.

Dolly Parton -- the country music icon behind some of the biggest songs ever recorded -- has died.

Her head of security announced her death Tuesday on Instagram.

We're told Dolly died in the last couple of hours in Nashville.

The cause of death is unclear, but Dolly told PEOPLE on Friday that she was "dealing with some health issues."

The Hollywood Hills home where D4vd allegedly murdered Celeste Rivas Hernandez is sitting vacant and hoping for a new tenant ... and the rent just went down.

According to real estate records, the rental price dropped from $23,950 a month to $21,500 as it sits quietly on the market.

D4vd moved out in September 2025, just days after police searched the property in connection with the investigation into Celeste's death.

Prosecutors allege D4vd invited Celeste over to the home in April 2025 ... and she was never heard from again.

The former "To Catch a Predator" host sent TMZ a portion of an NDA he says the studio asked him to sign to attend a private screening of "Primetime" -- the new movie starring Robert Pattinson as him -- and he claimed the paperwork asked for him to sign away the rights to his life.

Clause 5 of Hansen's alleged NDA reads ... "Recipient hereby releases, Company and its parents, subsidy areas, affiliates, divisions, agents, representatives, employees, successor, and assigns, jointly and individual individually, from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the project, including recipients screening of the project."

Chris tells TMZ ... there was no way in hell he was going to sign that ... and he thinks A24 tried to pull a fast one on him.

Ri'za says a previous court order demands that one parent give the other advance written notice of the trip, along with details like the dates of travel and where they're staying. 

She claims she was given "at best an hour and a half of 'advance notice'" and insists that doesn't cut it. Ri'za also says the trip to California is not in the best interests of the kids, claiming it will cause them to miss their entire third week of school.
