David Del Rio has brought in one of Hollywood's most powerful attorneys -- Shawn Holley -- in the wake of his sudden firing from CBS' "Matlock" after his costar Leah Lewis accused him of sexual assault ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Del Rio retained Holley -- whose client list includes the likes of Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, and Lindsay Lohan -- this week as he navigates the fallout from the allegation that got him booted from the hit CBS show last month.

TMZ broke the story ... Leah filed an allegation with CBS against David on Oct. 2 for an alleged sex assault she claims occurred Sept. 26. We were told on the day of the report, he was removed from the lot ... and after an investigation, he was fired. CBS Studios confirmed his character, a lead in the series, will be written off.

The LAPD told us at the time there was no record of an assault report matching the date or location of Lewis' allegation.

Shortly after news broke, Leah posted a message to fans alongside a photo hugging her mom, writing ... "Mom is here, we're moving forward in love and strength. I'm in good hands. Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we're moving forward in strength. Key word, strength."

David's wife, Katherine Del Rio, sounded off ... blasting Leah as "the most disturbing human being I have ever met."

We reached out to Del Rio and Holley for comment ... so far, no word back.

Erika Kirk wanted to see Charlie Kirk's dead body in the hospital to see "what they did to my husband," but she has never seen the video of him being shot and doesn't plan to.

Christopher Scholtes' November 4 death is being investigated as a suicide, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner in Phoenix confirms to TMZ.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... authorities are looking at carbon monoxide poisoning as a possible cause of death ... but the Maricopa County Medical Examiner will make the final determination. According to the Pima County Attorney's Office in Tucson, he died Tuesday night.

The idea was brought to the band by Justin Timberlake's manager after "Fast & Furious" producer Neal H. Moritz started shopping it around, but the band's collective teams were unified that Neal might not be the right fit for this project.

Our sources say the guys, along with their teams, had a group conversation about the potential film and agreed they should explore meetings with other producers in addition to Neal. We're told that would only happen if the band decided to embark on the much-wanted reunion tour ... something Justin wasn't ready to commit to.

3:17 PM PT -- Gerry Turner's disputing Theresa Nist's version of events a bit ... telling TMZ, "I laughed. That’s preposterous."

Gerry Turner seems to have had an exit plan in case his marriage to Theresa Nist didn't work out ... straight-up telling her where he'd hide her body if he killed her!

Nist exhumed the morbid story during an episode of the "Dear Shandy" podcast ... telling the hosts they were out on a walk near his house along a lake, when Theresa says Gerry pointed out a shed to her.

She then claims Gerry said, "That’s where I’m going to hide your body after I kill you and chop you up" -- a statement Nist swears he deadpanned.

Folks are outraged over a clip that's going viral ... it shows at least three officers using force on a Black man they have pinned to the ground, and it looks like one cop has a knee near the man's neck.

A Greensboro Police Department spokesperson tells TMZ ... the officers in the video remain on active duty.

For some reason, Itsaragrisil singled out Bosch for allegedly refusing to take part in a beach photo shoot contestants could share on their respective accounts ... bizarrely claiming Mexico's pageant director demanded Bosch not post.

11/5 2:46 PM PT -- A fellow passenger, Connor Gowland, tells TMZ ... he was seated near Ariana and says she was already on the plane and fully expecting to make the São Paulo premiere before the travel chaos hit.

Grande went incognito in a baseball cap, face mask and cozy slippers, sitting in business class with her team of six when the chaos hit. Instead of stressing about her own schedule, Ariana actually comforted Connor about potentially missing his cousin’s wedding.

Ariana Grande’s firing back at some seriously wicked hate ... pleading with fans to stop sending cruel threats toward her and her team after a flight mishap caused them to miss the "Wicked: For Good" premiere in Brazil.

In an IG post Tuesday, Ariana sounded shaken as she addressed the backlash ... apologizing profusely for missing the premiere, and imploring people to stop wishing danger on her and her team.

Ariana laid it all out ... saying there was literally nothing she or her team could’ve done to make it to Brazil in time -- adding she was more disappointed than anyone else.
