Jamie Foxx dissolved in tears during Jesse Williams' BET acceptance speech, but later Sunday night he was out on the town, chillin at Chow.

BET did a lot of trash talking about Madonna's tribute to Prince ... and Jennifer Hudson had to back it up by performing that same song. No pressure.

You'll recall ... the BET Awards called out the Billboard Awards for its tribute to Prince -- featuring Madonna and Stevie Wonder singing "Purple Rain." As they put it on Twitter ... "Yeah, we saw that. Don't Worry. We got you."

Sunday night, J. Hud had to put up or shut up ... check out her performance.

Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar just destroyed the big opening at the BET Awards -- mixing fire and water in spectacular fashion.

Bey led the charge at the Microsoft Theater in downtown L.A., singing "Freedom," before bringing out Kendrick ... they danced and stomped on a submerged stage with crazy pyrotechnics.

The only person having a better night than Beyonce and Kendrick ... Sam Jackson who rightly admired Bey's backup dancers.

The LAPD officers just got schooled on sizzurp, aka lean ... but the department swears there's nothing racial about it.

Law enforcement sources tell us LAPD brass has held meetings with cops to go over the basics when it comes to codeine. We're told they've been briefed on how users mix the syrup, how it looks, smells and most importantly ... to be on the lookout for double cups.

The brass insisted it has nothing to do with this weekend's BET Awards show ... which will draw scores of rappers. They say cops will not specially hunt for double cups ... but officers will arrest anyone if they happen to notice during normal patrol.

It could be a first glimpse into Prince's fabled vault of new music, and it premiered at Milan Fashion Week ... courtesy of Donatella Versace.

Donatella cranked the 11-minute mix during Saturday's show of Versace's men's collection. She says Prince, who was a longtime friend, would send her music all the time as a way of communicating.

It's unclear if Prince's estate approved the untitled music being used by Versace -- or if it would even need to do so ... if Prince had gifted it to Donatella.

Q Parker from 112 came under siege on Father's Day when his expensive ride was snatched during an ATL pit stop.

The singer tells TMZ it all went down Sunday morning on his way home from the airport after a show in Philly. He pulled into a gas station in College Park, Georgia to check a tire that was low on air.

He says, out of nowhere, someone jumped into the driver's seat. Q says he tried to make his way back into the car, but the thief -- who Q says looked 14 -- floored it and took off.

The $90k Audi A8 is still missing, and there are no suspects ... but there's a popular 14-year-old out there.

Scarface was a man of multiple distinctions this weekend ... he received a career achievement award and a shiny pair of handcuffs, both within minutes of each other.

The rapper was at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta Friday night, having just accepted the "I Am Hip-Hop Icon" award, when cops descended on him, placing him under arrest.

Turns out there's an outstanding warrant against Scarface for unpaid child support. He was taken to Fulton County Jail. He was still there as of Sunday AM, according to the jail.

Busta Rhymes is under investigation for allegedly threatening to slap fans at the BET Awards.

Kim Simpson says it all started when her friend accidentally bumped into the rapper while dancing at the June awards show. They apologized, but she says Busta went nuts, warning, “I’ll bite you and not that kinda bite” if it happened again.

Things escalated later when the two gals started snapping pics with reality star Deelishis, and Busta somehow got caught in the camera flash crossfire.

His reaction … “Don’t make me slap you” and then charged them, but security stopped him.

Kim filed a police report and cops are trying to find Busta to interview him.

We reached out to Busta's lawyer ... he had no comment.

Rich Homie Quan is main stage or no stage at all ... and that's why you didn't see him at Sunday night's BET Awards.

RHQ was supposed to be on the telecast, but according to our sources ... he showed up to rehearsal Saturday and was told by producers he'd be the headlining act for the red carpet pre-show ... which did not go over well with him.

We're told Quan was pissed, feeling totally disrespected.

Fans noticed his absence, with one tweeting, "I mean this a real nice put together BET Awards but um... 😐👀 where's Rich Homie Quan???"

2 Chainz and Flo Rida squared off at this weekend's BET Awards ... and one of them won by a neck.

Both showed up with giant jewel-encrusted chains ... it's debatable who's got the bigger and badder bling ... but both look like they could cover a kid's college tuition.

You can't keep Diddy down ... even when he falls into a giant hole.

It happened Sunday night during an epic Bad Boys Records tribute at the BET Awards featuring Mase, Faith Evans, Lil' Kim, and 112 ... Diddy danced over what appeared to be an elevator lift opening. He fell smack on his ass ... hard.

Meek Mill's party was overrun Friday night by both clubgoers and cops, who were determined to keep the peace in Hollywood during the BET Awards weekend.

The rapper hosted a big party at Playhouse Hollywood, which was packed to capacity just after midnight. A slew of cops showed up -- on the ground and in the air -- to control the crowd and prevent a repeat of last year's violence during pre-show parties.

An eyewitness says YG was rejected after he refused a pat-down.

All was calm and it looks like only one or two people were busted for disorderly conduct.

Rick Ross has lost a lot more than his freedom after getting jailed for alleged kidnapping and assault ... we're talking a small fortune.

Turns out Ross had a HUGE weekend planned to celebrate the BET Awards.

According to our sources, Ross is losing out on all sorts of deals, including $80,000 for a party appearance and $50,000 for a club appearance.

He's also forfeiting some big money ... $30,000 for a private jet from ATL to LAX, and $60,000 for a mansion rental.

Ross is stuck behind bars until his next court date July 1.

Kanye West roasted his wife Kim Kardashian for her legendary love of the black man ... and brought the house down at the BET Honors.

Kanye was accepting the Visionary Award at the ceremony -- which was pre-taped, but aired Monday night -- and talked about how guys in Chicago barbershops talk about black men in entertainment hooking up with white women ... and white women nabbing rich black guys.

You gotta watch for the punch line because he absolutely nails Kim ... and then concludes, "It ain't got nothing to do with the money."

Ye also recalls a story Kim told him ... about her dad, Robert Kardashian, losing it when someone spray painted "ni**er lover" on his car -- and how he used it to teach Kim a lesson about racism.
