The ex-boyfriend of Nicki Minaj is taking their break-up INCREDIBLY hard ... to the point he's having suicidal thoughts.

Safaree Samuels is confiding in friends that he's an emotional wreck over his breakup with Nicki after a 12-year relationship. He's become a shut-in, spends days and nights smoking weed, and has talked openly about suicide.

Safaree is telling friends he won't get in touch with Nicki because she's now hooked up with Meek Mill. He says it's torture for him, because he believes Meek Mill destroyed his relationship with Nicki over false claims he cheated.

Safaree's friends say they're scared these are more than idle threats. They've urged him to see a shrink. The problem ... he's seeing one whom he says has been giving him meds that make him even more emotional.

Actress Tasha Smith has jumped from filing a restraining order against her estranged husband ... to slapping him with divorce papers ... and right off the bat it's costing her a bundle of cash.

The "Why Did I Get Married?" star sought the split after she and Keith Douglas filed dueling TROs against each other -- and since she's the bread winner in the family ... the judge is making her pay him $50k in spousal support up front.

We broke the stories ... a judge ordered Smith to stay a bizarre 2 yards away from Douglas -- while they were estranged, but still shacking up in the same house. A week later she filed similar docs to get protection from him.

They'll be back in court next month for the restraining orders. As for the $50k payment -- we're told that's just to hold Douglas over until a permanent support agreement is hammered out in divorce court.

Tyler Perry and his 'WDIGM?' writers should be taking notes.

"Happy" is not a word you'd expect to hear from Matt Bellamy when asked about his split from Kate Hudson, but he did ... and it comes off like a dig at his ex.

Hudson and Bellamy called off their engagement last week after dating for four years. They have a three-year-old son together.

And when paps at LAX asked the Muse rocker about the break-up, he used an obscure Australian phrase which loosely translates to ... happy as a pig in s**t.

Matt could've said nothing, or something nice about Kate -- instead, he chose "happy." Aggressive?

Brandon Jay MClaren, who used to kick ass as the Red Ranger, ain't feeling so mighty right now -- his wife has filed for legal separation.

According to court docs, MClaren's estranged wife, Mieka Tennant, is seeking a split after nearly 3 years. They don't have any kids, but Mieka -- a big time Hollywood publicist -- is demanding spousal support during the separation.

MClaren's "Power Rangers S.P.D." days are long gone, but he's nabbed roles on "The Killing," "Falling Skies" and "Graceland."

Tennant will disagree, but BJ's still Zord of the Manor to us.

Casper Smart doesn't need Jennifer Lopez to make it in Hollywood ... he's been working with big stars like Nicki Minaj and he's not even banging them.

We're told Casper just booked a co-starring role as the bad guy in an upcoming movie, "Wild for the Night" ... a flick about electric dance music. He's also choreographing all the dances.

Casper and J. Lo broke up in April and most people thought his face would end up on a milk carton -- not so by a long shot. Here's how he's been filling his time:

Derek Hough isn't ready to admit he's banging Kate Hudson -- but he's definitely not denying it either.

The "Dancing with The Stars" pro was in Boca Raton Thursday -- at a Tony Robbins seminar of all things -- when a photog popped the question about rumors he and newly single Kate are hooking up ... and his response is a little weird.

Hough and Huds were reportedly making out at an L.A. hot spot last Friday night -- he left out the front door, and she was spotted sneaking out the back -- sans engagement ring.

So, Derek ... if you're NOT with her ... why not just say so? Just sayin'.

Karrueche Tran insinuated Chris Brown abused her by saying the singer "repeatedly mistreated" her, but TMZ has learned it was a mental -- not a physical beatdown.

Sources close to Karrueche say she was referring to numerous times Chris publicly disrespected her when their on-again/off-again went south. She has numerous examples.

-- Chris went on Instagram and liked pics of Yovanna Ventura, Justin Bieber's ex, suggesting they were together.

-- He Instagrammed a pic of Kendall Jenner on his lap.

-- Chris plays the Rihanna card, sometimes liking her bikini pics and even wearing a necklace Rihanna gave him.

-- The most recent rant on stage this past weekend, where he said,"f*** that bitch," referring to Karrueche.

Karrueche says she's sick of Chris intentionally making her feel bad, so she's done for good.

Ray J's girlfriend says she'd never kill herself ... and her recent threat was just a bad choice of words.

Princess Love says she clearly took things too far -- especially considering her friends Stephanie Moseley and Earl Hayes' murder-suicide.

Princess tells us her suicide scare Wednesday was triggered by an argument she and Ray J had over holiday plans. As TMZ previously reported, Ray J thought she was upset over a BET special he filmed with Karrueche Tran.

Mama June is back on the attack against Sugar Bear, claiming he's still on the prowl for women ... lots of them.

June vented on her personal Facebook page ... complaining she's taking all the heat for dating Mark McDaniel while SB is playing the victim when actually he's "a cheater and a big player."

She says Sugar Bear is trying to snare girls through Snapchat. She also admits she's rifled through his phone and found concrete proof he's on the hunt.

TMZ broke the story ... Mama June claimed she broke up with SB after she found he was trolling online dating sites. But then we found out she was dating the man who served time for molesting her daughter, and everything changed.

And get this ... Mama J thinks Sugar Bear is a lady killer, warning, "he has already scammed many girls on here to fell in love with them," adding, "so baby if u think u r his one in only u r wrong big time."

Ex-NFL great Keyshawn Johnson is caught in the middle of a model's break-up with her husband -- who thinks she's been cheating with Johnson ... and has filled his court papers with lurid messages.

Alicia Tarry's husband just filed docs seeking an annulment of their 6-month marriage based on fraud. The docs include scores of Twitter direct messages Johnson and Tarry allegedly sent to each other.

The DMs include some racy language about arranging possible hook-ups between Alicia and Johnson. One DM says, "Send me a p**** shot." The response, "I'll get one in a few sorry have a guest over."

It appears Tarry's husband got hold of her phone or her Twitter account ... because one of the alleged DMs to Keyshawn -- says, "Please leave my wife Alicia alone."

Alicia tells us she did not cheat with Keyshawn, and further ... she says the DMs "appear suspicious" and were illegally obtained.

Ray J's ex-girlfriend who threatened suicide Wednesday was pushed over the edge after she found out Ray was nuzzling up to the modern day Helen of Troy ... Karrueche Tran.

Cops were called after Princess Love called Ray and threatened to shoot herself. A short time later she called him back and said she would not go through with it.

As we reported ... Ray broke up with Princess Love Tuesday night after a big fight. Now we know where he went afterward.

Ray went to a studio to shoot a New Year's Eve special for BET. Karrueche was also on the show and Ray hung out with her until 4 AM. We got a couple of pics which show they were definitely getting along.

Unclear if there's a relationship, but it's definitely a good start.

Looks like Ray J's doing some damage control ... he posted a pic with Princess Love late Wednesday night with a very poor choice of words in the caption.

Ray J frantically called 911 Wednesday and told the dispatcher his girlfriend said she was going to kill herself.

According to our sources, Ray J broke things off with Princess Tuesday night. We're told she was incessantly texting him after he left for work today, and when she didn't hear what she wanted from him she threatened suicide.

We're told Ray J knew there was a gun in the house, so he took the threat seriously. Ray J noted to the dispatcher, their good friend Earl Hayes just committed a murder-suicide ... and that put him on high alert.

Porsha Williams may have figured out a way to make millions of dollars ... and it's all because she got dumped by her sugar daddy.

We found out Porsha has been approached by SugarDaddyForMe.com, which offered to create a new website called PorshasSugarBabies.com, recruiting women like her who have their sights set on meeting really rich and mostly old dudes.

SugarDaddyForMe.com is the real deal, with 4.5 million members, so it would give Porsha a platform to create her own brand and keep 50% of the profits.

We broke the story ... the 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star got a reality check when her married mystery man pulled the plug on their relationship and also cut her off financially.

Karrueche Tran is a single woman -- at least until she gets back together with Chris Brown for the umpteenth time -- but in the meantime, she's flaunting her single body all over Miami.

It's not hard to see why Chris kept going back.

Chris Brown is remorseful over his Karrueche attack and -- without specifically saying it -- seems to be explaining his anger issues that go way back to Rihanna.

CB put his on-again/off-again GF Karrueche Tran on blast over the weekend ... insinuating she cheated with Drake and saying,"F*** that b****!"

In his apology, Brown accurately states that "being young and dumb is one of my strong suits" and that he is simply guilty of loving too hard. But then he offers the flip side ... that he reacts "impulsively when I'm hurt at times."

He went on to say that everyone knows he really loves Karrueche and he doesn't care how he comes across to the public ... "because I'm still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize."

Fool me once ...

Things have gotten even more nuclear between Chris Brown and his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran ... and now Drake's been dragged into it, making him the Camilla Parker Bowles in the relationship.

Brown just ripped into Karrueche on Instagram, calling her a cheater, saying, "I was locked up for damn near 4 months and only got 1 visit from you while u was hosting parties and taking secret trips to Toronto, going on dates with Drake."

Chris fired his salvo after Karrueche went on the attack, explaining their breakup this way ... "I refuse to be repeatedly mistreated especially by someone who claims to love me. That's not love."

As if it really needs translation ... Chris is calling out Karrueche, who publicly made it look like she was standing by him when he was jailed earlier this year. As for Drake ... well, you remember W.i.P. nightclub, right? That fight involved Rihanna and the 2 seemed to squash the beef ... but it's clearly back in force.

And as for Karrueche's comment ... after the Rihanna beating, the word "mistreated" has all sorts of meaning when it comes to Chris, and Karrueche knows it.

Karrueche added, "If you can't love me the right way, then don't love me at all."

Short story ... the atomic bomb war has just gone full hydrogen.
