So how does a beauty queen turn into the poster child against gay marriage? In the case of Miss California Carrie Prejean, the answer may lie in an ugly divorce that may have cemented her views on gay relationships.

Carrie's parents filed for divorce in 1988 and the divorce and custody fights went on for more than a decade -- it was a divorce filled with homosexual allegations hurled by both sides.

In one of the docs, Carrie's dad describes a confrontation he had with her mom in 1996, in which he recounts an argument in a restaurant parking lot, where "Ms. Prejean accused me, in front of our daughter, of homosexuality."

The papers also quote a court-appointed doctor who said "The mother questioned [within hearing of the girls] whether [her father] was a homosexual or had a homosexual roommate."

Carrie's mom says the "gay" allegations went both ways. In court papers dated May 16, 2000, a report from the court-appointed counselor says "The mother also alleges the father told the girls their stepfather was gay, that all men with mustaches are gay." The father's response: "The father acknowledges talking with the girls about the stepfather's brother being gay, not the stepfather."

Also in the docs -- a handwritten letter from Carrie's older sister, in which she recounts a weekend stay with her dad: "One time my sister & I went in the hallway of my dad's apartment, & his roommate's door was open all the way & we saw [the roommate] in bed with another man. I don't think it's right for my sister & I to have to live that way."

So does Carrie believe gays broke up her parents' marriage? We called her rep ... no comment so far. We could not reach Carrie's dad for comment.

The accounting firm has asked for the order, arguing that it has given Young all the info he needs to proceed in the divorce, and he's harassing them.

Young says during his 14 month marriage, they made several hundred thousand dollars in improvement to their home and they purchased more than $800,000 in furniture.

He says when he moved all he had was the clothing on his back. He says he's been asking for info about the money sunk into the house and he says he was told the firm was siding with Walsh, not him.

Young says his accountant caused him "overwhelming stress," adding the accounting firm is trying to smear him.

Just three days before his pregnant wife filed the papers, a seemingly depressed Nas could barely form sentences outside the restaurant, clearly upset about something. But looking back, it's obvious why the rapper wasn't himself that night.

Nas was having dinner his friend Michael Rapaport, who, while talking about prop 8, prophetically warned our photog "With marriage comes divorce."

Turns out he was right.

TMZ has learned Kelis filed for divorce today in L.A. County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. She is asking for spousal support and child support. She is also asking for joint legal and physical custody of their unborn child.

Hulk had asked the judge in Pinellas County to keep Charley Hill out of the driver's seat because he feared his marital estate would be liable if the kid got into a wreck.

Hogan tried, the judge denied -- but the judge didn't necessarily disagree with Hulk's plight. In the papers, the judge wrote that it "would appear to be exceedingly imprudent" to keep Charlie from getting behind the wheel.

Hulk's attorney told us, "This issue certainly isn't over... clearly from [the judge's] statement from this hearing that in principal he agrees with our position but legally does not feel he is able to grant an injunction."

Sand just scored a restraining order, prohibiting him from going within 100 yards of Shauna -- 99 yards from her lips. She claims in the legal papers, "He bit my lips as hard as he could, holding me down for 10 seconds, causing severe bleeding and cuts to my lips. He then spit the blood and skin back at me." Shauna also says he held her on the bed, "suffocating me with his hands over my nose and mouth for 20 minutes." Seems a bit of an exaggeration.

She says he also threatened to throw her off the 9th floor balcony.

According to papers filed last week in Marin County Superior Court, Penn cites "irreconcilable differences." The couple was married 13 years and has two minor children.

Penn wants each party to pay for their own lawyers. And, he checked the box saying he wants the judge to terminate the court's power to award spousal support.

The couple announced they were divorcing in December 2007 -- but recanted four months later after changing their minds.

By the way ... Kate put down the lion's share of the down payment and he left her with the mortgage and the bills.

The power vested in Sharon Stone wasn't strong enough to hold together the first marriage she performed back in 2004.

Almost 5 years after Stone went through the trouble of becoming a mail-order minister just so she could officiate the wedding of restaurateur Michael Bourseau and stylist Brenda Swanson -- the couple is filing for divorce.

But Sharon isn't the only celebrity to blame for jinxing the doomed ceremony -- Jack Nicholson and Robert Wagner served as witnesses.

As for the couple -- they cited irreconcilable differences. They have no kids together.

No word if Stone will perform the divorce.

Gibson, whose wife Robyn filed for divorce earlier this month, showed off his new arm candy in Hollywood, holding hands with 39-year-old Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva at the premiere of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Some inside info in Mel Gibson's divorce ...

We're told Mel and Robyn have actually been more civilized with each other than they have in the last few years. The divorce so far is amicable, and the only thing that will get in the way is money.

As for how much money, our sources say Mel and Robyn don't know precisely -- the whole thing that they're worth $900,000,000 is a guess from the media. We're told the lawyers and accountants are working now to nail it down.

Kate Walsh is drawing a line in the sand with estranged hubby Alex Young. We've just obtained legal papers in which Walsh's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, has requested a trial date in their divorce -- always a bad sign.

As we reported this AM, Young is gunning for info about the house they bought together, just before they tied the knot. The marriage lasted only 14 months, but it's gotten ugly.

By getting a trial date, the clock is ticking for Kate and Alex to either come to terms or go before a judge. We know Walsh feels as if Young is harassing her people for financial information she says he already has.

Young's lawyer says the case "is no where near ready for trial" but thinks it's gonna settle.

We've obtained legal papers filed last Friday by Young, who claims the accounting firm he and Walsh used has turned on him by refusing to ante up a full accounting of joint assets. But wait till you hear what they are arguing over.

London & Co., the accounting firm, filed legal papers earlier this month, essentially asking a judge to tell Young to get lost. The firm wants a protective order against Young, claiming it has given him all the financial info he needs but he keeps making more demands. Now Young's lawyer is fighting the protective order, claiming London & Co. is acting like a P.R. firm for Walsh and that the protective order reads like a "press release to benefit one client, Ms. Walsh."

Young says a month before they got married back in 2007, they bought a multi-million dollar house together and furnished it with expensive stuff, and London & Co. refuses to give him an accounting. But we know what went down -- fact is, Kate made the lion's share of the down payment and the house has gone down in value since they bought it -- so there are no profits to split. Plus, he walked out on Kate, leaving her with a huge mortgage and all the monthly expenses.

So why is Young making such a big stink over assets that are pretty clean? It's a little perplexing. It's not like he needs the dough. We know he makes more than a million bucks a year as a bigwig at FOX. She makes around $3 mil a year on "Private Practice" and other projects.

According to the docs, Norma doesn't get a piece of any of Tyrese's possessions -- not his production company, not his cars, not his house ... nothing.

The prenup does state that Norma would get a lump sum of $50,000 for every year they were married -- maxed out at 10 years. The couple was only married 10 months.

How's this for brutal? The prenup says that if either side files for separation or divorce, Norma has to move out of the house within 60 days -- or else Tyrese can get a court order to make her move out.

Tyrese Gibson made just shy of a million bucks last year. His soon-to-be-ex-wife? Not so much.

According to docs just released in their ongoing divorce, Tyrese Gibson pulled in an estimated $77,946 per month in 2008 ($935,352 annually -- we used a calculator too). Norma Gibson made an estimated zilch.

Tyrese and Norma are still battling over support. He currently pays $6,230 a month.

The docs also reveal Tyrese owns two cars (a Bentley and a Land Rover), a house in Temecula, Calif., and two small production companies.

UPDATE: 7:16 PM ET We just got the papers Mel's lawyer filed with the court, in which he said Mel believes he "cannot have a fair and impartial trial or hearing before Judge Ongkeko." The case has now been removed to Judge Frederick Shaller, but expect the whole case to be handled by a "private judge" -- and that should happen soon.

Mel Gibson already has issues with his divorce -- at least his lawyer does.

We've learned ... Bob Kaufman, Mel's attorney, filed legal papers yesterday to boot the judge from the case -- Hon. Rafael Ongkeko. Each side is entitled to ding a judge from hearing the case, but that can only be done in the first 10 days. Your move Laura Wasser.

Here's the reality. The chances that a judge in the L.A. County Courthouse will actually hear Mel's divorce case are slim to none. That's because both Kaufman and Wasser almost always get a "private" judge to hear their high-profile cases, away from the public glare.
