Gavin Newsom says the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating him, his wife, and other family members ... and he claims the effort is politically motivated.

In a video posted online Monday, the California governor said federal agents have recently contacted family members, friends, and former employees and sought records as part of what he described as an attempt to find wrongdoing.

Newsom alleged President Donald Trump is behind the effort, arguing he is being targeted because he is considering a run for president after leaving office when his term ends in January 2027.

Harper Beckham's seemingly trying to play peacemaker in the Beckham family feud ... but her latest mission ended before it even started.

The 14-year-old daughter of David and Victoria Beckham was spotted pulling up to big brother Brooklyn's Beverly Hills home Friday afternoon -- just hours after attending her dad's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony with the rest of the family, according to a report by Page Six.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter Zahara is making moves in court to officially drop her famous dad's last name amid their estrangement ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ obtained a petition Zahara filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, where she asked for her new legal name to be "Zahara Marley Jolie."

The 18-year-old did not provide any reasoning in her paperwork, but she has not been close to her dad in years. Zahara hasn't been using Brad's last name for a while now, but it now appears she wants the change to be legal. In Touch was the first to report the news.

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr is taking a major swipe at Scott Pelley, saying the fired "60 Minutes" correspondent is totally detached from reality.

Carr ripped Scott in a social media post, calling him out for criticizing the new CBS leadership and his dismissal from the popular newsmagazine show.

After CBS showed him the door after 37 years with the network, Scott told The New York Times he didn't think for a moment he would be fired ... even though things got really heated between him and new CBS brass.

In his X post, the FCC bigwig references the NYT interview, branding Scott's statements as "completely out of touch." He says Scott's behavior would not be tolerated at any run of the mill job.

Latto says her new song is about Cardi B calling her a "p***y ass" ... but she says her response isn't exactly a diss ... and it sounds like she might be down to mend fences.

Big Mama went on "The Breakfast Club" Thursday and addressed the drama head-on, telling the show's hosts those lyrics in her new song "Gimme Dat" are, in fact, about Cardi.

The rapper says she was caught off-guard when she caught a stray during Cardi's leaked rant about Ice Spice ... because she had just rushed out her verse for the "ErrTime" remix so it would count toward Cardi's first-week album sales.

Latto recalled how a couple days after she tried to help out Cardi, a peer she thought was a friend was all over the internet calling her a "p****."

She was pregnant at the time, and Latto says she put her feelings on wax while her hormones were raging.

Cardi apologized online ... but Latto says they have each other's numbers and have texted before, so she wasn't feeling the way Cardi handled things.

While Latto says she hasn't spoken to Cardi since the “ErrTime” remix was released in September, she says she's open to hashing things out.

Latto says folks think it's a diss because they're just hearing the song now ... but she says she was just rapping about what was going on in her life at the time ... and while it's not a textbook diss track, Cardi still left a bad taste in her mouth.

President Donald Trump treated an Oval Office policy question like batting practice ... taking a few swings at CNN's Kaitlan Collins instead of the issue she raised.

The fireworks started when POTUS was pressed about a proposed $1.8B anti-weaponization fund -- a massive compensation program for people who claimed they were victims of politically motivated government investigations -- that has since been scrapped following bipartisan criticism.

Watch the clip ... before Trump could get very far into the substance of the question, he turned his attention to Collins.

Sauce Walka addressed the rumors that he sent a voice note to his ex, Kiley Losson, over jealousy about Drake.

A director who worked with Val Kilmer says it's no conspiracy ... Val was the absolute worst person he's ever known.

"Conspiracy" director Adam Marcus unloaded on Val in a series of since-deleted social media posts, according to Entertainment Weekly, calling him a "putz" and saying he had no problem speaking ill of the dead.

Adam said of Val ... "Worst human being I’ve ever known… and that is really saying something."

The director clearly expected some backlash over his comments, saying ... "And to any of you rolling your eyes because of the whole ‘don’t speak ill of the dead bulls***,’ f*** that. [If] this guy did one-tenth of what he did on my set today, he would have been cancelled in a blink."

Rick Ross may still be beefing with Drake, but that didn't stop him from running through all their biggest collaborations during the opening night of his new tour.

The rapper kicked off his 17-city "Port of Miami" anniversary tour Thursday night at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, celebrating 20 years since the release of his debut album -- however, while fans know the relationship between Ross and Drake has been rocky lately, you wouldn't have guessed it would make the setlist.

RR was doing hit after hit at the show ... including songs he's collaborated with the Iceman on throughout the night.

After the concert, we asked Ross whether he had ever considered cutting Drake's parts out of the songs, given their public fallout, and Ross told us he simply goes with whatever the DJ plays during the set and doesn't spend time editing or removing parts from the records.

Carl Radke says plenty of the "Summer House" cast is still scratching their heads over Amanda Batula and West Wilson's relationship timeline.

We caught up with Carl at LAX on Friday, and he told us "a lot of us are still confused" about exactly when Amanda and West's romance began. According to Carl, viewers are watching the cast try to piece everything together in real time during the reunion.

Amanda and West explained during part 1 of the season 10 reunion that their relationship developed gradually. They said their first kiss happened in February and that they didn't have sex until after officially defining their relationship at the end of March.
