Icelandic actress Anita Briem was in her mid-20s when she was cast to play Hannah -- the fearless and independent "mountain guide" and daughter of the famous volcanologist -- in the 2008 family/adventure film "Journey to the Center of the Earth."

Anita shared the big screen with Josh Hutcherson as the only child who's being looked after by his Uncle, Sean and Brendan Fraser as Sean's quick-thinking Uncle and professor, Trevor.

Other actors in the movie include Jean Michel Paré and Kaniehtiio Horn.

Briem is also known for playing Queen Jane Seymour on "The Tudors."

50 Cent recently landed a HUGE fighting role as "Balrog" in the upcoming "Street Fighter" live-action film and his longtime G-G-G-G-Unit DJ Whoo Kid has seen firsthand how he can knock somebody out -- rappers, you know who you are!!!

DJ Whoo Kid chopped it with TMZ Hip Hop on Monday and he still has nightmares when he would mess up onstage and 50 would hit him with a Buffalo Charge or Turn Punch, so he's certain Paramount Pictures got the casting right with him!!!

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are giving the sale of their joint home another go ... re-listing their Beverly Hills mansion for $52 million.

Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci have called it quits.

The Oscar-nominated director and the actress announced their split Friday in a joint statement, saying ... "It is with much respect and deep care for each other that Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have decided to part ways."

It's unclear what led to their split.

Brad Pitt has officially offloaded one property from his portfolio ... the actor just closed the deal on his Los Angeles-area home, with Austin Butler taking over the deed to the estate.

Real estate sources tell TMZ ... Butler scooped up Pitt's former 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom Los Feliz property ... and closed the sale last Friday after going into escrow in an off-market deal last month.

However, one super important person -- Demi Lovato -- didn't make the cast ... though she will serve as an executive producer alongside Nick, Kevin and Joe. But, there's plenty of time left to make a cameo!
