Charlie Puth's fans in Orlando, Florida just got a huge letdown -- he canceled Saturday night's performance due to an illness.

The artist hopped on Instagram and told his fans he was "devastated" to scrap the show, but explained ... "I've been sick for the last few days and am now being instructed to rest or else risk canceling more dates on this tour."

He did not reveal what illness he is fighting, but it sounds pretty serious -- he said he's physically "unable to perform" and "without a voice."

The "How Long" hitmaker is currently on his "Whatever's Clever!" world tour, supporting his newest album of the same name. The trek kicked off in San Diego, California in May and has dates in America through June 13 before hitting pause for about two weeks. He'll then resume the tour on June 27 in Europe before wrapping on July 30.

This isn't the first time Charlie has had to cancel a show due to illness ... and he's certainly not the first artist to axe a show -- or in some cases, entire tours -- for various factors.

Meghan Trainor and Zayn Malik just canceled their tours, while The Pussycat Dolls scrapped most of their U.S. dates ... rumored to be due to poor ticket sales. Dolly Parton also just canceled her upcoming Las Vegas residency due to ongoing kidney stone treatments.

Wade Robson and James Safechuck -- 2 prominent Michael Jackson sexual abuse accusers -- just posted together for a chummy selfie as they gear up for trial against the singer's business entities this fall.

Check it out -- the pair's child molestation accusations were at the center of the controversial 2019 HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland" ... and they're still supporting one another to this day. They each posted the casual snap and gushed over one another in the captions.

Wade called James his "brother in trauma and triumph," while James wrote ... "I had a great time with Wade. I can’t thank him enough for his bravery and support. So much love."

M.I.A. says Kid Cudi didn't have the guts to fire her directly ... claiming she found out she'd been dumped from his tour when her son called from school and told her she was out.

The "Paper Planes" artist revisited her fallout with Cudi during an appearance on the New York Times' "Popcast," claiming the two still haven't spoken about her removal from the tour. M.I.A. says she never received a call from Cudi or his team and even tried to speak with him after the controversy erupted, but says he wouldn't meet with her.

According to M.I.A., she was in another state when her son called and casually broke the news ... saying, "My son called me from school. He's like, 'Oh, I guess you're coming home.'"

The Queen of Pop turned NYC into her own giant dancefloor Thursday, teaming up with Grindr for a special Pride Month concert celebrating the upcoming release of her album, Confessions II.

When showtime arrived, Times Square was awash in Madonna and Grindr's branding as the pop icon emerged on a raised stage draped in a sheer pink-and-purple veil, mirroring the look from her upcoming album's artwork.

Latto says her new song is about Cardi B calling her a "p***y ass" ... but she says her response isn't exactly a diss ... and it sounds like she might be down to mend fences.

Cardi apologized online ... but Latto says they have each other's numbers and have texted before, so she wasn't feeling the way Cardi handled things.

While Latto says she hasn't spoken to Cardi since the “ErrTime” remix was released in September, she says she's open to hashing things out.

Latto says folks think it's a diss because they're just hearing the song now ... but she says she was just rapping about what was going on in her life at the time ... and while it's not a textbook diss track, Cardi still left a bad taste in her mouth.

Legendary bassist John B. Williams -- best known for playing on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" -- is on hospice being cared for by 'round-the-clock nurses, TMZ has learned.

His wife, Jessica Williams, tells TMZ ... he recently suffered a fall and subsequently underwent brain surgery as a result of his injuries. Jessica, an accomplished musican herself, says John had dementia prior to the fall, but the fall greatly accelerated its progression.

At this point, John is unable to walk and can't talk, and his health is on the decline. We're told one if his last conversations was with his daughter.

Sauce Walka addressed the rumors that he sent a voice note to his ex, Kiley Losson, over jealousy about Drake.

The rapper posted a video responding to the viral audio, saying ... "The threat was never about the p***y."

Instead, Sauce Walka says he's pissed at Adam22, claiming he ran his mouth on his "No Jumper" podcast "bout my 'SON.'"

The Black Crowes are set to hit the stage tonight, days after they got into it with fans over a chant about the red, white and blue ... and the backlash hasn’t messed with ticket sales, TMZ has learned. 

A rep for the SJC Cultural Events, Inc., which owns the St. Augustine Amphitheatre where the group is performing Tuesday night, told TMZ this afternoon ... "At this point, we have not had any request for refunds."

At Sunday's show in Tampa, fans who attended the show claimed The Black Crowes’ singer Chris Robinson went off after the crowd started a patriotic chant … after seeing the band's Black Crowe character on the big screen dressed as Uncle Sam. 

Damon Dash is firing back at Jay-Z after his former Roc-A-Fella partner dissed him at the Roots Picnic ... and Damon isn't feeling the bars ... or the hair.

Speaking with "The Art of Dialogue," Damon dismissed the freestyle as recycled material, claiming Jay was leaning on old jokes and wasn't delivering the sharp lyricism he once brought to the table.

The fallout from The Black Crowes' onstage political dust-up on Sunday didn't end with boos ... it kept rolling straight toward the exits.

Check out the video we obtained ... concertgoers can be seen popping up from their seats and streaming out of the venue following frontman Chris Robinson's controversial comments during the band's Tampa show.

The clip shows a steady flow of fans heading for the aisles while others remain seated as the concert continues. Several sections appear noticeably in motion as attendees make their way toward the exits -- no longer interested in sticking around after the tense exchange.

Chris Robinson got into it with fans at The Black Crowes' Florida concert ... beefing with folks who started chanting "U-S-A."

Here's the deal ... the band was performing Sunday in Tampa as part of their "Southern Hospitality Tour" when a visual thrown on a screen reportedly showed the band's Black Crowe character dressed as Uncle Sam.

A source tells TMZ ... before the band started playing "She Talks to Angels," the crowd started chanting "U.S.A."

That's when Chris addressed the crowd, saying ... "Thanks for the geography lesson."

When the crowd kept chanting, Chris added ... "I don't know what you have to be so proud of right now."

Jay-Z got a lot off his chest in an epic freestyle ... seemingly dissing Nicki Minaj, her husband Kenneth Petty, Drake, and Kanye West ... and it's all on video.

HOV was headlining Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on Saturday night when he started freestyling ... and it sounds like he clapped back at some of the biggest names in hip-hop.

Fans online think Jay took aim at Nicki and her husband, rapping ... "That lady back on the stuff, she sound like she in love with 'em / Her Ken can't even … Take they kids … enough of them."

6:30 PM PT -- Ronald LaPread died following a brief illness, his representative tells TMZ.

Ronald LaPread -- one of the founding members and bassist for soul band the Commodores -- has died.

His daughter, music producer Soraya LaPread, shared the sad news on social media Saturday. She did not divulge any details of his passing, but NZ Herald reported he died following a "sudden medical event" in Auckland. Ronald had been living in New Zealand since the 1980s.

TMZ has reached out so Soraya and the Commodores for comment ... so far, no word back.
