Authorities in Tucson have revealed the timeline of the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie's mother, Nancy... as a deadline looms in an alleged ransom plot.
According to authorities -- including Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos -- Nancy left her own house at approximately 5:30 PM Saturday. After several hours of playing games and having dinner with loved ones, Nancy returned to her home.
Nancy got home around 9:48 PM, at which time the garage door opened. The garage door closed at 9:50 PM. The doorbell camera disconnected at approximately 1:47 AM. At 2:12 AM, the software for the camera detected a person ... and Nancy's pacemaker disconnected at 2:28 AM. No cameras around the property were smashed or destroyed.
Savannah Guthrie's video response to an alleged ransom note for her abducted mother Nancy is fascinating on a number of levels ... including timing.
TMZ received an alleged ransom note Tuesday, demanding millions of dollars in bitcoin in exchange for Nancy's safe return ... and Savannah uploaded a video Wednesday where she told the alleged captors she was ready to talk and needed proof of life on Nancy.
Thing is ... the ransom note we forwarded to law enforcement made it clear there wouldn't be any "talk" and it gave some tight deadlines with an element of "or else."
There are also references to 2 items in and around Nancy's house ... we're told by sources connected to the investigation the descriptions are accurate.
Investigators descended on Nancy Guthrie's Arizona home Wednesday as they returned to the scene of the crime -- and new video shows them piecing together leads in the puzzling case.
Monica Garcia, a TV reporter for Tucson's KVOA-TV, posted video showing federal and local police investigators crawling all over the house -- noting they were wearing latex gloves and carrying out boxes of items.
One of the clips captures a Customs and Border Protection agent outside the home with a specially trained K-9 dog used by law enforcement to locate drugs, explosives, and missing persons.
Congresswoman Sarah McBride is always looking out for traitors ... which is probably why she's such a fan of "The Traitors" on Peacock -- and she tells us the show isn't all that different from Washington!
We caught up with McBride Tuesday on Capitol Hill, where she described what it's like working in D.C. … "Sometimes it feels more like 'Real Housewives,' sometimes it feels more like 'Traitors,' and let's be honest, there's a lot of overlap between the two."
With the revelation that the Democratic Representative from Delaware is an avid viewer of the reality show, our photog had to ask ... how does she rank the political players in D.C.?
Jeffrey Epstein was put on the hot seat during a 2010 deposition over his criminal conviction for soliciting a minor for prostitution ... but the pedophile financier didn't have a clue who his victim was, and even asked a lawyer, "What minor?"
In the stunning clip, Epstein tells the lawyer deposing him that he didn't know the name of his underage victim, but pled guilty anyway in 2009 to soliciting prostitution from someone under the age of 18. He also pleaded guilty to another count of soliciting prostitution and was sentenced to 18 months in jail in Florida under a plea deal with prosecutors.
The 2010 deposition, released in the latest tranche of Epstein Files, opens with the lawyer repeatedly asking Epstein if any female he interacted with was a prostitute prior to meeting him. Epstein gives the same response each time, saying he pleaded guilty to solicitation of prostitution. He then falsely claims he never pleaded guilty to soliciting sex from an underage prostitute.
Kristin Cabot-- one half of the couple who went viral on social media this summer when they were caught getting cozy at a Coldplay concert -- is the keynote speaker at a crisis PR conference in D.C. ... where tickets are going for $875.
The former "chief people officer" for Astronomer will share the stage with PR pro Dini von Mueffling for a 30-minute discussion titled "Kristin Cabot: Taking Back the Narrative."
It's part of PRWeek's Crisis Comms Conference and tickets to the April event range from $750 to $875 ... with 14 other speakers scheduled to grab the mic.
While most of the country was aghast at Anthony Weiner's relationship with a 15-year-old girl back in 2016, Woody Allen's wife, Soon-Yi Previn, seemed more disgusted with his victim ... according to an email exchange with Jeffrey Epstein.
In just-uncovered messages -- part of the millions of Epstein Files documents released by the Department of Justice -- Soon-Yi calls the minor "a despicable and disgusting person."
In one email, dated September 22, 2016, Soon-Yi writes ... "I know. It's an incredible story. You have to feel sorry for him. He can't seem to learn," referring to Weiner.
Then she takes a turn, going right at the underage female involved, writing ... "I also thought it was disgusting what the 15-year-old did to him."
She continued ... "I hate women who take advantage of guys and she is definitely one of them. She knew exactly what she was doing and how vulnerable Wiener was and she reeled him in like fish to bait."
One of Hollywood's biggest nightlife empires is now facing a major legal showdown ... and it's coming from someone who says she helped build the brand that celebrities made famous.
According to court documents, obtained by TMZ ... Marsha Molinari, a longtime business partner of The h.wood Group -- the hospitality company behind celebrity hotspots Bootsy Bellows, Delilah, The Nice Guy, and The Peppermint Club -- is suing the company and its founders, claiming she was denied her share of a massive deal after more than 16 years helping grow the brand.
Molinari, a marketing and branding executive, says she was a co-founder and equal-thirds partner in The h.wood Group along with the two other founders, John Terzian and Brian Toll ... and she says she was treated publicly and privately as a co-equal partner for years.
6:55 AM PT -- No suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday morning.
The department tells TMZ ... "We have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case. Detectives continue to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie. We are also awaiting additional forensic results."
They add, "We are not confirming the car being seized, we are unsure where that reporter is getting that information."
There's a potentially stunning twist in the kidnapping of 'TODAY' anchor Savannah Guthrie's mother Nancy...anAshleigh Banfield report claiming her son-in-law might be a suspect.
Banfield -- an independent journalist and former NewsNation host -- reported Tuesday night, a law enforcement source told her Tommaso Cioni has been identified by police as a possible suspect in the case.
Cioni is married to Savannah's sister Annie, and we know she was the last person to see Nancy on Saturday night when they reportedly had dinner together. It's unclear if Cioni was also at the dinner.
President Donald Trump attacked a female reporter for "not smiling" on Tuesday ... after she asked him about the most recent release of Epstein Files material.
Watch the CNN clip here... during a press conference Tuesday in the Oval Office, CNN Anchor and White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins asked Trump if he'd read through the latest massive trove of documents.
Trump answered, "No, I have a lot of things I'm doing."
Collins pressed him, saying some alleged victims' names were not redacted.
Trump said ... "I think it's really time for the country to get on to something else really, now that nothing came out about me, other than it was a conspiracy against me, literally, by Epstein and other people."
The New York Times found at least 38,000 references to Trump, Melania Trump, Trump's Mar-a-Lago club, and other related words.
Collins followed up with a question about people saying they want justice from the investigation. Trump responded by calling Collins "the worst reporter."
Trump said, "You know she's a young woman ... I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for 10 years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile on your face. You know why you're not smiling? Because you know you're not telling the truth."
Trump kept going, calling CNN a "dishonest organization" that should be "ashamed" of Collins.
Collins pointed out she was asking about survivors of sexual abuse.
He's insulted Collins specifically during both his terms in office, most recently in a December Truth Social post -- misspelling her name "Caitlin Collin’s" -- calling her "Stupid and Nasty."
And it's not the first time Trump's attacked a reporter for asking him about the Epstein Files ... he called Bloomberg White House Correspondent Catherine Lucey "piggy" after she asked him about the files in November.
Men telling women to "smile more" is widely considered offensive, particularly in the workplace, and it's apparently common ... "98% of women reported being told to smile at work sometime during the course of their careers, and 15% said the request to smile on demand happens weekly for them, if not more frequently," according to Entrepreneur.
D4vd's friend Neo Langstonfinally went in front of a grand jury after being arrested in Montana for failing to appear as a witness.
Neo showed up Wednesday to a Los Angeles courthouse where a grand jury has been convened since November to gather information on the death of Celeste Rivas ... whose dismembered corpse was found last September inside D4vd's Tesla in Hollywood.
After Melinda French Gates issued a public plea for her ex-husband Bill Gates to address his mentions in the Epstein Files ... Bill is doing just that in a new -- at times, uncomfortable -- interview.
The infamous files show Epstein appeared to send emails to himself claiming Bill got a sexually transmitted disease and referencing "consequences of sex with russian girls" ... and claiming Bill asked Epstein to give him antibiotics to secretly slip Melinda to prevent her from realizing she'd allegedly caught anything.
In an interview with 9 News Australia, Bill said ... "Apparently, Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent, the email is false. I don't know what his thinking was there."
How’s this for locker-room lore -- Rep. Eric Swalwell says the real political tea ain't spilling over cable news... it’s going down at the gym, where he claims Republicans are quietly trashing Donald Trump between sets.
We caught up with the California congressman on Capitol Hill Tuesday, and he tells us the congressional gym is where the truth really gets a workout ... with GOP lawmakers privately unhappy with Trump, but way too scared to say it out loud in public in case he claps back with threats.
Now you may be thinking, "no whey that happens" -- but we bench-pressed Eric a little harder, and he says it's abs-olutely true ... in fact, he compares it all to WWE, saying once the cameras are off -- especially in the gym -- Republicans switch personas real fast!
The 83-year-old Kentucky Republican was hospitalized Monday night after experiencing flu-like symptoms over the weekend, his office said. According to a spokesperson, McConnell checked himself into a local hospital out of "an abundance of caution" to be evaluated by doctors.
The good news here is his camp says his prognosis is positive. "He is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving," the statement read, adding that McConnell has remained in regular contact with his staff and is already looking forward to getting back to work in the Senate.
Bill Stevenson, the ex-husband of former First Lady Jill Biden, has his name in the news for all the wrong reasons recently ... he's been charged with murdering his second wife, Linda.
Here's a look at Stevenson's background and how he was taken into the hands of the law.
Shocking development in the double murder of an Ohio dentist and his wife ... she was shot 9 times, and he took 7 bullets ... and her ex-husband is charged with their murders.
