A day at one of Mexico’s most iconic landmarks turned deadly in a flash -- gunfire erupted at the famed Teotihuacán pyramids and sent tourists into full-blown panic.

Authorities say a gunman opened fire Monday near the Pyramid of the Moon ... killing a Canadian woman and injuring at least 13 others before turning the weapon on himself.

Officials identified the suspect as Julio Cesar Jasso Ramirez, who they claim climbed up to the mezzanine level of the pyramid around 11 AM and began firing. A witness told Reuters they had just come down from the structure when they heard what sounded like “pops,” followed by a stampede of visitors scrambling to get out of harm’s way.

A devastating mass shooting in Louisiana has left eight children dead and a community reeling.

Shreveport Police say officers responded Sunday morning to reports of a domestic disturbance. In total, 10 people were shot ... eight of them children, ranging in age from just 1 to 14 years old.

Authorities say the suspected gunman fled the scene, carjacked a vehicle nearby and led officers on a chase. Police opened fire during the pursuit, and the suspect was killed.

A violent scene just steps from the University of Iowa turned chaotic early Sunday when a massive brawl suddenly erupted into gunfire, leaving three students wounded.

Cops say they were called to Iowa City's Pedestrian Mall for a large fight ... but things escalated fast when shots rang out in the middle of the melee.

Video from the scene shows dozens of people throwing punches before panic sets in, with crowds sprinting in every direction as gunfire erupts.

Bianca Huntley -- a mother of 2 whose family says she was pregnant with her third child -- was killed in Atlanta earlier this week while sitting in rush hour traffic.

According to 11 Alive -- a local outlet based in the ATL area -- cops responded to a report of a woman shot on the I-75 freeway, traveling northbound, just after 6 PM on April 14.

Huntley was found shot, but still alive, in her white BMW SUV. First responders rushed her to the hospital ... where she later died of her injuries.

Offset's shooting is no longer a local case in Florida ... the case has gone federal with the FBI now investigating, and releasing a bunch of photos of suspects and getaway vehicles.

The FBI in Miami just issued a statement with photos showing the alleged perpetrators and their two Chevrolet SUVs, one of which is a matte gray Tahoe and the other is a black Suburban.

In the pics, one dude is jabbering on his cellphone while another is walking around one of the SUVs, and other snaps show the suspects interacting with each other. An FBI official confirmed to TMZ ... the photos are related to last week's Offset shooting.

Rapper Offset had a warrant for his arrest recalled mere weeks before he was shot outside a Florida casino ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, an L.A. County Superior Court judge recalled a warrant issued for Offset -- legal name Kiari Cephus -- on February 26.

The warrant had been issued in late January after Offset failed to appear at an arraignment ... the bond was set at $20,000. Offset showed up in court weeks later with a lawyer and pleaded not guilty to the battery charge.

Cardi B has put her bitter divorce battle aside after Offset was shot ... reaching out to her estranged husband as he recovered in a Florida hospital ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the "Bodak Yellow" rapper contacted Offset shortly after Monday's shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

We're told Cardi, who's currently on tour, checked in on Offset following the scary incident ... despite the two still being in the middle of a contentious split.

Rickey Thenarse, a former Nebraska football player who had a cup of coffee in the NFL, was shot in the stomach in South Los Angeles on Friday and rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, TMZ Sports has learned.

Thankfully, Thenarse received medical attention quickly ... and is expected to be okay.

It's unclear exactly what led up to the violent incident, but sources tell us Thenarse had been in the middle of a love triangle involving his girlfriend and the father of her child ... which seems to have come to a head last week.

According to law enforcement sources, two people -- a man and a woman -- were spotted fleeing the scene in a black SUV.

Lauren Kanarek -- the woman who survived a shooting by her trainer, Olympic equestrian Michael Barisone -- says she's suffered three times because of the incident ... when she was shot, when he was acquitted, and now, as a streaming giant is telling her story ... according to an open letter she just published.

Barisone was found not guilty by reason of insanity for firing the bullets that nearly killed Kanarek ... and as the incident is being retold in the documentary "Untold: The Shooting at Hawthorne Hill," Kanarek claims the film's production company Propagate "distorted the truth in the interest of ratings."

In the letter, titled "The Systems Failed Me, But I Will Not Let Them Silence Me," Kanarek says, point-blank, "On August 7, 2019, a man I knew and once respected drew a gun and shot me twice in the chest at point-blank range. That man was Michael Barisone, my former trainer in the equestrian sport of dressage."

Here's the first look at Offset since being shot outside a Florida casino ... he's in a wheelchair having a smoke outside a hospital ... and he's wearing his hospital gown.

There's an ICU tag attached to his chair on wheels ... but we've been told by Offset's camp that he's "stable and being closely monitored."

TMZ broke the story ... the former Migos rapper was shot Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.

Law enforcement told us the shooting happened in the valet area and that Offset suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Lil Tjay got himself jammed up in the Offset shooting ... the rapper was arrested and booked for participating in a fight, TMZ has learned.

Tjay was arrested Monday evening by police in Florida and later booked into the Broward County Jail for misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office. The 24-year-old also posed for a mugshot while being held on a $500 bond.

According to the Seminole Police Department ... Tjay was involved in a fight prior to Offset getting shot. Cops say a second person was detained at the scene, but has not been charged. 

Quavo is at a loss for words after Offset was shot outside a Florida casino ... but for now, he’s sending prayers.

The Migos rapper took to IG shortly after his former bandmate had been shot outside of the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida ... which put Offset in the hospital.

Quavo kept it simple ... posting prayer hands emoji on a black screen -- no caption, no statement.

A rep for the rapper confirms to TMZ ... Offset was shot Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.

Per the spokesperson, Offset is "fine" and "is currently at the hospital receiving medical care."

The rep added, "He is stable and being closely monitored.”

A rep for the Seminole Police tells TMZ, "We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood."

The rep added, "Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal."

Wrestling legend Ric Flair is sending love and support to Offset after the rapper was shot in Florida on Monday ... sharing words of encouragement to his friend.

We broke the story that Offset -- real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus-- suffered a gunshot wound near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. We obtained photos of the ambulance at the location after Offset was shot.

Flair was shocked by the news ... and went straight to social media to deliver his thoughts and prayers for his friend.

The Florida politician allegedly murdered by her husband this week was the sister of a Parkland school survivor who took his own life last year.

Nancy Metayer Bowen -- the Vice Mayor of Coral Springs -- posted a message to Facebook in December revealing that her brother, Donovan Joshua Leigh Metayer, had passed away, while providing a link to his GoFundMe page.

TMZ reported Donovan died by suicide after battling schizophrenia for years. Donovan was among the survivors of the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
