Shia LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans this week on two counts of simple battery charges ... and TMZ has learned some colleagues were concerned about him while shooting his latest film.

The veteran actor finished filming "The Rooster Prince" just a few months ago ... and TMZ is told he showed some troubling signs at times.

Our sources say that, for the most part, LaBeouf was a consummate pro ... but they say he also displayed erratic behavior ... including intense mood swings. We're told it was enough that some peeps on set wondered if he might be facing personal troubles -- especially given his checkered past.

James Van Der Beek was working right up until the end ... and now fans are getting a chilling first look at his final film role, with the former teen heartthrob stepping into seriously sinister territory.

A week after James died from stage 3 colorectal cancer at 48, Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for the thriller "The Gates" ... casting him as a creepy pastor named Jacob, who's witnessed committing a murder by three college students cutting through a remote gated community.

James fully leaned into the darkness, delivering a spine-tingling performance that fans can catch when "The Gates" hits theaters March 13.

Tom Noonan -- the longtime actor best known for his roles in "Last Action Hero" and "Robocop 2" -- has died, TMZ has learned.

Noonan died last Saturday, and his death was confirmed by director Fred Dekker, who wrote on Facebook, "It’s with great sadness that I share the passing of Tom Noonan … Tom’s indelible performance as Frankenstein in THE MONSTER SQUAD is a highlight of my modest filmography, doubtless aided by the masterful make-up designed by Stan Winston, sculpted by Tom Woodruff Jr., and applied by Zoltan Elek."

Dekker's lengthy statement also included some memories from their time working on "The Monster Squad" ... before ending with, "he was the proverbial gentleman and scholar, and the world has lost a great talent. R.I.P. Tom. Thanks for the great work."

Jamie Kennedy is calling out anti-ICE celebs -- accusing them of pure hypocrisy for sounding off on red carpets ... all while surrounded by security.

Speaking on Jack Osbourne’s "Trying Not to Die" podcast Tuesday, Jamie admitted ICE’s tactics can seem extreme ... but said it’s even crazier watching celebs cry about authoritarian rule while, in his view, "being authoritarian" themselves.

Jamie doubled down, calling out A-listers at Sundance specifically ... saying if they really believed in the cause, they’d be on the frontlines instead of preaching from luxury film festivals.

A new "Charlie’s Angels" film is in the works ... but despite online casting rumors and wishes -- which include the return of Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu -- it'll be a while before the sexy spy trio is picked for their assignment.

Here's the deal ... it was reported over the weekend that a new iteration of the popular franchise is underway at Sony ... and of course, fans went bonkers over who should be in the starring roles.

A source with knowledge tells TMZ ... it's way too early to talk casting since the project is in early development -- and the script is still being written by Pete Chiarelli, whose credits include "Crazy Rich Asians," "The Proposal," and "Now You See Me 2."

Michael Jackson's entire trajectory may have shifted in just 30 seconds ... in a theory posited by our new documentary 'Michael Jackson: 30 Fatal Seconds.'

In the doc, we reveal shocking, never-before-seen footage of the infamous fire that engulfed the King of Pop's head on a commercial set in 1984. Margot Robbie's looks over the years have soared to new Heights!

Here is a 23-year-old version of the blonde starlet at "The Wolf Of Wall Street" premiere in NYC back in 2013 (left). This was her breakout role, playing "Naomi" alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.

And, 16 years later, Margot wowed the crowd in a custom Dilara Findikoglu sheer corseted gown at last week's "Wuthering Heights" premiere in London (right).

We know she nailed her role as "Barbie," but the question here is: Good Genes or Good Docs?!

This actor from across the pond has starred in -- and even written -- some of the biggest hit films of the 21st century ... but, can you guess who he is without seeing his face?

"Silence of the Lambs" totally missed the mark when it came to handling gender identity onscreen ... so says one of the movie's biggest stars.

Ted Levine -- the actor who played Buffalo Bill in the hit 1991 film -- finally addressed the controversy surrounding his character in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

If you haven't seen the movie, Buffalo Bill is a serial killer who flays women and wears their skin over his own ... which, in more recent years, many have claimed makes the character an unflattering portrayal of transgender or gender nonconforming people.

We're told there were no shortcuts, and Brooks still came in and read for the role like any other actress. She auditioned, impressed, and landed the part.

We got photos of Brooks on set in Pasadena Wednesday, deep in filming. Our production sources say she's not just popping in for a cameo ... she's playing a meaty role with multiple speaking scenes.
