Kim, Khloe, Kourtney Sued Over Beauty Line

3/21/2016 5:36 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0321_kourtney_khloe_kim_kardashian_tmzKim, Khloe, and Kourtney could be on the hook for more than $200 million for not tweeting about their own makeup line ... this according to a new lawsuit.

Hillair Capital Management claims it ponied up more than $10 million to save the Kardashian sisters' struggling cosmetics line, "Kardashian Beauty" ... after their former business partner went belly up.

As we previously reported, the Kardashians originally partnered up with a company called Boldface in 2012, launching a makeup line called "Khroma Beauty."

Problem was ... a year later, a judge blocked the company from using the name "Khroma." The girls changed the name to "Kardashian Beauty," but Boldface started tanking.

A savior stepped in ... Hillair Capital Management, buying out Boldface and sinking $10 mil into the business.

Hillair now claims the Kardashian girls didn't hold up their end of the bargain by blasting out the virtues of "Kardashian Beauty" to their millions of followers.

Hillair wants its $10 mil back plus what they would have made ... up to $180 mil.

Waist Trainer Lawsuit Kardashian Girls Love It But I'm Still Fat!!!

3/18/2016 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

031716-kardashians-waist-gang-3A waist training corset made enormously popular by the Kardashian girls is now on the receiving end of a lawsuit by a bunch of women who say they got burned but their fat didn't.

The women are griping over Waist Gang Society, the company that manufacturers the Reshaping waistshaper.

The company touts that the product "burns fatty tissue by making you sweat, targets the back, torso, waist and abdomen areas."

The Waist Gang Society's website features countless photos of Kim, Kourtney, Kylie, and Khloe wearing the corset. The girls, who were not sued, sing the praises of the product on social media.

The lawsuit claims the advertising for the product is misleading, quoting a doctor who says, "Corsets do not cause you to permanently lose fat in the midsection: they cause a re-distribution of the fat and organs in the trunk." It promises to give consumers an hourglass figure, but it seems for the women suing it's mission not accomplished.

What a waist.

Michelle Rodriguez Yeah, I Shaved My Pits ... But NOT Just for Oscars

2/29/2016 12:21 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Michelle Rodriguez was all cleaned up for Oscar night -- specifically in the armpit area -- and she's blaming her smooth look on peer pressure.

The notoriously unshaven star attended the Vanity Fair party Sunday night, and flaunted her freshly-shaved pits. At first glance, you'd think she cleaned up because it's a fancy schmancy event -- but she set us straight Monday morning at LAX.

M-Rod says she was feeling the heat long before she slipped into her Oscar night gown, and she doesn't seem happy about it.

We say ... if it makes you happy, Michelle ... let it grow!

The Academy Awards are luring celebrities to their lavish gifting suites by showering them in things like beauty treatments, lavish vacations and even a simple pack of gum.

GBK, the fancy event planning firm that gives away high-priced Oscars swag every year, is posting up at the London Hotel. This year they're providing $20,000 worth of freebies which includes some low key items -- a $130 3D printing pen, and $15 vegan gum.

The big ticket swag though is the $8,000 trip for 2 to St. Martin, and a $1,500 laser treatment ... to burn fat around your abs. Seriously. There's also an $8,000 coupon to a Beverly Hills vision center.

That's a crap ton of sunglasses.

Caitlyn Jenner I'm Getting Into The Cosmetics Biz!!

2/18/2016 12:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0215-caitlyn-jenner-makeup-fun-art-TMZ-GETTY-COMPOSITE-01Caitlyn Jenner seems to be taking a page out of daughter Kylie's playbook by getting into the cosmetics biz.

We've learned Caitlyn recently filed a trademark for exclusive rights to hawk makeup under her name.

It's not just cosmetics ... Jenner's application covers fragrances, makeup remover, nail polish, and skin care.

Cait doesn't have a clear plan on how or when she will break into the beauty business. She wanted to secure the trademark before anyone else got the idea.

It's a smart move considering Kylie's insanely popular lip kit line sold out in seconds.

Of course it's uncomfortable since Zayn happens to now be dating Joe's ex, Gigi Hadid. Sure, it could be coincidence. Could be a single white dyed blond male.

Who wore it better? We're talking to you, Gigi.

Jay Z He Stunk Up Our Biz Bad ... Perfume Co. Sues

1/26/2016 9:36 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
Breaking News

0126-jay-z-tmz-02

Not everything Jay Z touches turns to gold -- his cologne line is an absolute disaster and it's all his fault ... according to a lawsuit filed by the manufacturer.

Parlux Fragrances is suing Jay for failing to live up to his end of their deal. The company says it made a licensing agreement ... where it would use his name and image to launch Gold Jay Z in 2013.

But Parlux says Jay was supposed to do more -- like make social media posts and promotional appearances, but he declined. The co. says he refused to appear on 'GMA,' at Macy's and in Women's Wear Daily to pump up the scent.

Further, there was supposed to be a line of follow-up fragrances that Jay helped develop, but according to the suit ... he dodged meetings and the new colognes never got off the ground.

Parlux says it expected to haul in about $50 million over 2 years, but instead the whole deal is pepe le pew -- it's losing money, and stores are returning unsold inventory.

Jay's former perfume partners want damages of at least $18 million.

Sofia Vergara My Face is Gonna ... Cost Ya At Least $15 Million

1/25/2016 3:50 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0125-sofia-vergara-tmzSofia Vergara was used and financially abused by a beauty company ... according to a lawsuit she just filed.

Sofia says Venus Concept blew up images of her and used them to promote its products around the world. In the suit, she says the whole thing started with an innocent Instagram post.

Sofia says she got Venus' Legacy treatment -- it's a skin tightening massage -- in August 2014. She posted a pic of herself on the table ... which got about 40k likes.

However, she says she actually didn't like the treatment and found it  "a waste of time and money with little in the way of any results."

0125-sofia-vergara-venus-suing-INSTAGRAM-01But she says Venus took the ball and ran with it anyway ... putting up photos of her at exhibition booths and on its website with captions like, "Loved by ... bombshell actress Sofia Vergara."

Sofia's beef is Venus never paid her a dime, and she gets MANY dimes to do this kinda work. She says her going rate to endorse a beauty product is a whopping $15 million!

She's suing Venus for at least that much, and she wants the company to yank all materials with her mug.

LisaRaye McCoy I Said White-a-licious, Not White-n-icious

1/24/2016 12:40 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0122-lisaraye-dencia-tmz-facebook-01LisaRaye McCoy is calling BS on a singer who's threatening to sue her after LisaRaye claimed the singer's skin-whitening product causes cancer ... in fact she says she's owed a big, fat 'thank you.'

As we previously reported, pop singer Dencia threatened to sue the "Single Ladies" actress if she didn't retract her statements trashing Dencia's product, Whitenicious.

LisaRaye's lawyer, C. Anthony Mulrain, just fired back, making several points:

-- LisaRaye never called out Whitenicious, she referenced "Whitealicious" on the radio.

-- Even if a jury felt she was really going after Whitenicious, by Dencia's own admission, it's a God send. Dencia tweeted, "Everytime a celeb or blog mentions Whitenicious, saying anything good or bad, the sales go up 1000%, so hey keep talking."

-- Dencia can pound sand if she's expecting a retraction. But in the spirit of sisterhood, LisaRaye will post a statement on Facebook and Twitter saying she was not referring to Dencia's product.

Sounds black and white to us.
