The old man who was attacked by a bison in Yellowstone National Park says ya gotta keep your eyes on a bison ... because they can come at ya quick!

Carl Isom-McDaniel relayed the events of his tango with a buffalo in a new video from his hospital bed ... explaining the bison was rolling around in the dirt -- not showing any aggression -- until it locked eyes on him.

Carl says he told his grandson to go ... before he started running through some trees, trying to escape the bison before the animal caught up to him.

Terrifying drone footage shows a massive great white shark cruising past some kids swimming off the Southern California coast ... and the children are blissfully unaware there's an apex predator below them.

Carlos Gauna -- known as The Malibu Artist online -- posted an anxiety-inducing video to Instagram Monday that shows a 10-foot shark approaching young swimmers in the water ... who apparently had no clue the shark was even there.

Carlos captioned the clip ... "I don't often get nervous but this was one of those rare instances where I did. The young swimmers had no idea."

11:31 AM PT -- Kimora Lee Simmons has no plans to give estranged husband Tim Leissner primary custody of their son ... 'cause TMZ has learned a court filing suggesting otherwise was simply a clerical error.

Kimora Lee Simmons looks like she wants her estranged husband Tim Leissner to have primary custody of their son ... which is interesting, because Tim asked for joint custody when he pulled the plug on their marriage.

Kimora just filed her response to Tim's divorce petition ... and while she agrees "that "irreconcilable differences" led to their split ... she splits from Tim on the issue of legal and physical custody of 11-year-old Wolfe.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Kimora checked the box for Tim to have primary legal and physical custody ... even though Tim asked for joint legal and physical custody in his original petition.

Kimora is also asking to terminate the court's ability to award any support to Tim, and she also checked the box to request that spousal support be paid to her. She also wants him on the hook for her legal fees stemming from the divorce process.

Joseph Duggar's attorneys wants to question his in-laws as they fight criminal charges related to allegations he molested a 9-year-old girl ... TMZ has learned.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Kendra Duggar's parents, Paul and Christina Caldwell, are scheduled to be questioned under oath on September 14 at the State Attorney's Office in Panama City, Florida.

Investigator Darrell "Chase" Norris is also set to be deposed, while a man named Thomas Lowe will be questioned later that afternoon. The notice says the testimony is being gathered for discovery and possibly to use at trial.

Ryan Clark getting sent packing from ESPN isn't sitting well with the network's biggest star -- Stephen A. Smith voiced his frustrations over the move in a lengthy video on Tuesday ... saying his now-former colleague is the best in the business.

"I'm gonna miss him," SAS said. "I am not happy about this decision one bit. The bosses know I'm not happy about this decision. I've made that very, very clear."

A Chicago Cubs fan who went viral after smacking a younger man in the back of the head for sitting during the national anthem is breaking his silence ... and he tells us the video's missing a key ingredient.

Here's the deal ... over the weekend, an older gentleman in a Cubs jersey barked at a younger fan in front of him to get off his butt for the Star-Spangled Banner at Wrigley Field ... and when the person kept sitting, the Cubs fan smacked him in the head.

TMZ tracked down the Cubs fan -- Robert "Bob" Chavez -- and he tells us he lost his cool in the moment because he is a Vietnam veteran who had numerous buddies killed in the war.

Bob says he told the young man his veteran status and war stories when asking him to stand ... but the guy just kept sitting down, so Bob let loose a slap.

Ryan Clark was let go by ESPN yesterday in the middle of a live show ... and TMZ has learned how it all went down.

A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... Ryan was going to be notified on Tuesday that he was part of a mass layoff, but on Monday ... the network was made aware that a report was about to drop about the former NFL player being laid off. The report was going to be published while Ryan was filming "NFL Live" and a call had to be made ... how should he find out?

We're told ESPN honchos decided to get ahead of the news and tell Ryan during a commercial break, rather than him see an alert on his phone.

Ryan did not come back on the air after being informed he was being let go ... obviously, the news rattled him, and we're told both Ryan and ESPN agreed it was better not to return.

Prosecutors acknowledge reconsideration can be used to correct a decision later deemed erroneous ... but say it is not available when someone simply reargues their case.

Olympic medalist Toshiaki Fushimi died after crashing during a cycling race in Japan.

The cyclist was competing in the Matsusaka Keirin tournament in Japan on Saturday when other racers collided in front of him.

In video circulating social media, you see Toshiaki apparently had to veer off to the side to avoid getting caught up in the collision. According to U.K. Metro, Toshiaki was the rider in black.

While he avoided the mass pileup, Toshiaki crashed into the safety barrier ... fracturing his cervical vertebrae and skull. He was reportedly taken to a hospital, but died the next day.
