Diddy Ordered to Pay Nearly $500K in Attorneys' Fees ... To NBCUniversal
update
3:08 PM PT -- Sean "Diddy" Combs' rep, Juda Engelmayer, tells TMZ ... "Yes, Sean was ordered to pay approximately $478,000 in attorneys' fees, but that is only half the story. NBCUniversal sought nearly $1 million, and the Court found substantial portions of its billing excessive and unreasonable, cutting the request by more than $512,000. Ironically, the arguments challenging those excessive legal bills were made by the same firm that recently withdrew from representing Sean amid its own billing dispute with him."
Diddy may need to make some budget adjustments at the prison commissary this month ... because a judge says he owes NBCUniversal nearly $500K in attorneys' fees.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ ... a judge says Diddy has to pay a big chunk of the company's legal fees after it successfully defended itself against his lawsuit regarding the documentary, "Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy."
The judge ordered him to pay $477,700.50 ... and while it's a huge chunk of change ... it's sort of a win for Diddy, too.
That's because NBCUniversal initially asked for $990,292 to cover the entire legal bill. Diddy's paying less than half.

There is a dispute between Jane Doe and defendant Matthew Ingalls. The day after their encounter, she said "You already knew when I came in I was 10 shots deep." Ingalls fired back, "You did tell me you were sober, by the way, you said you hadn't been anywhere."
