3:36 PM PT -- Utah's Department of Public Safety commissioner Beau Mason says there's an active investigation for the shooter, but minutes before he said that at the press conference, FBI director Kash Patel said on social media the shooter was in custody.

Utah governor Spencer Cox says this was a "political assassination" and there's a person of interest in custody ... seemingly backing up what Patel is saying.

Cox made it a point to say the death penalty is still on the table in Utah.

Authorities are sharing details on Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting in Utah ... and TMZ is streaming live.

The Utah Highway Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Utah Department of Public Safety are holding a joint press conference right now ... giving updates and answering questions.

Charlie was shot in the neck during an event on campus Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah ... and video showed his body recoiling and blood gushing out.

The Minnesota Catholic school shooting that left 2 kids dead and 17 people injured caused widespread panic ... and now there's new video capturing students in a mad rush for the exits.

CNN released the wild footage Thursday, which shows dozens of kids stampeding out of Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis the day before. Older students are seen hurrying younger ones through a set of doors, kids cowering behind pews, and others simply weeping.

Adults seem to be urging scared kids to run to them in order to escape the house of worship ... and, as you can see, CNN's blurred a section in the background. Unclear what exactly they covered up here.

Hulk Hogan's widow, Sky Daily, is "planning" to file a lawsuit against at least one of the WWE legend's doctors and others for medical malpractice she says led to his death, sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ Sports.

The suit, we're told, would center around the neck operation Hulk underwent back in May.

Sky first told us ... she believes Hogan's phrenic nerve -- which controls your breathing -- was "compromised" during that procedure.

Law enforcement responding to a mass shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school called for a bunch of medical personnel and resources to handle a large number of gunshot victims ... including one person who took a bullet to the head ... police dispatch audio reveals.

Listening to police radio, it's clear something awful is unfolding at Annunciation Catholic School ... officers say someone is suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, and that's just one of many victims.

Police call for a "a lot more medical" and say they need help clearing roads so ambulances can come pick up victims and transport them to hospitals.

Investigators have issued an update in the search for missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro ... a day after the boy's parents, Jake and Rebecca, were hit with felony murder charges.

The Haros appeared in court in Riverside, California Tuesday ... and now, Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin, San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus, and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco are speaking out -- sharing new details of the now-national case.

Hestrin said investigators have a "strong indication where the remains of Baby Emmanuel are" ... alleging the missing child was a victim of extended abuse and succumbed to injuries from that abuse. He noted no confession was made by either Jake or Rebecca in jail.

12:35 PM PT -- FBI Director Kash Patel announced an update to the case on X ... saying the suspect was "identified as Robin Westman, a male born as Robert Westman." Patel said the FBI is investigating the shooting as domestic terrorism and a "hate crime targeting Catholics."

10:40 AM PT -- The Associated Press reports an unnamed law enforcement official says authorities identified the shooting suspect as Robin Westman ... local outlets KARE and KSTP also report sources have confirmed the same name. NBC News reports the same name, and said law enforcement officials confirmed Westman posted multiple videos online referencing violence.

Police rushed to a Catholic school in Minneapolis in response to a shooting Wednesday morning during Mass ... at least two children are dead and as many as 17 people were injured.

According to KSTP-TV, dozens of law enforcement officers responded to the pre-K through 8th-grade Annunciation Catholic School around 8:40 AM local time. Personnel from the FBI, Minnesota State Patrol, Minneapolis Police and ATF were at the scene, according to local reports.

The suspected shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. At least 16 kids are being treated at local hospitals, according to CNN.

10:41 AM PT -- The social media announcement teased a big hint at the couple's engagement timeline. Remember, Travis had longer hair up until the end of July, cutting it during training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Peep the pics, TK has noticeably shorter hair while proposing to Tay ... indicating he must've gotten down on one knee this month.

10:35 AM PT -- Moments after Taylor and Travis announced their big engagement news, TMZ learned the Ralph Lauren black-and-white striped dress Taylor wore for the proposal was already sold out.

Taylor and Travis jointly posted photos of the proposal on Instagram ... multiple pics of them in a garden setting, with Travis down on one knee. The caption -- "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨"

TMZ has learned the engagement ring is an Old Mine Brilliant Cut. The jewelry designer is Kindred Lubeck ... and sources tell us the jeweler worked with Travis to design the sparkler.

Taylor and Travis' "Love Story" started back in July 2023, after the NFL tight end voiced his disappointment that he wasn't able to meet the pop star at her "Eras" tour stop in Kansas City. Travis made the confession on his "New Heights" podcast, admitting he made a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it for her.

The parents of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro have officially been charged with murder, as well as a misdemeanor, following their arrests last Friday.

Jake and Rebecca Haro were hit with charges of felony murder and misdemeanor filing a false police report, the Riverside County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday. Bail was set at $1 million each.

The update came just before the controversial couple was expected to arrive at Riverside Hall of Justice -- about 50 miles east of Los Angeles -- where they were set to be arraigned ... as their infant son, who investigators now believe is deceased, remains missing.

Lil Nas X pled not guilty to the four felony charges against him ... and now he knows what it's going to cost to post bail.

Nas waived his arraignment and entered a not guilty plea Monday ... and a judge set his bail at $75,000 with some drug-related conditions.

Assuming the "Old Town Road" rapper makes bail, he's been ordered to not own, use, or process illegal narcotics. Nas would also have to enroll in an outpatient program.

Lyle Menendez got the same treatment from the parole board as his brother Erik ... his bid for freedom was just denied for 3 years!

The California Board of Parole handed down its decision Friday after Lyle answered hours of personal questions from various parole commissioners and a ton of his family members spoke on his behalf.

This isn't the end for Lyle, though -- he’ll be considered for an administrative review within a year, and he could be moved up to a hearing as soon as 18 months.

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro just got a major update ... the California baby's parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro, have been arrested for murder, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement tells us ... the couple -- who previously claimed their baby had been kidnapped in the parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa, California -- are now facing potential charges after being arrested in their home Friday morning.

Erik Menendez's dream of walking free after spending decades behind bars for the shotgun murders of his parents just went up in smoke ... he's been denied parole!

The California parole board's decision was handed down Thursday night after a marathon hearing in which Erik told what happened that fateful night and gave a window into his life behind bars. Eighteen members of Erik's family also gave statements on his behalf, but none of it could convince the board to release him.

Board of Parole Commissioner Robert Barton said he believes Erik still poses an unreasonable risk to public safety. Barton cited Erik's criminal behavior at the time of the 1989 murders and his past burglaries, as well as his cover up of the slayings with his brother, Lyle, who was also convicted of killing their parents.

A late night out in New York City ended in tragedy over the weekend when multiple gunmen opened fire inside a Brooklyn restaurant, killing three and injuring 8.

The gunfire erupted just before 3:30 AM on Sunday inside Taste of the City Lounge, according to the NYPD. The club had just closed for the night when the chaos broke out.

Three men -- ages 27, 35, and one not identified -- were pronounced dead at the scene. Eight others were rushed to hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not currently known.

4:10 PM PT -- The shooter who opened fire near Emory University is dead, according to police in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Police Department says, "There is no ongoing threat to the Emory campus or the surrounding neighborhood. The incident involved a single shooter, who is now deceased."

APD says one law enforcement officer was injured during the police response.

Cops are now asking folks to avoid the area as they investigate.

An army of police officers just descended on the area around Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, after reports of an active shooter -- and social media videos capture the sounds of rapid gunfire.

Emory University officials sent out an alert at about 5 PM local time., advising students to "RUN, HIDE, FIGHT. Avoid the area."

One of the focal points of the shooting is a CVS store, where CNN got footage of what appeared to be a wounded uniformed cop being carried out on a stretcher into a waiting ambulance.

Ozzy Osbourne died from a heart attack.

The death certificate is in for the Prince of Darkness and it also says coronary artery disease and Parkinson's were contributing factors ... according to a document obtained by the New York Times.

As we reported ... Ozzy died July 22 and his family said he was with his loved ones, "surrounded by love."

Shannon Sharpe's days at ESPN are over -- the network has cut ties with the Pro Football Hall of Famer less than two weeks after settling a rape lawsuit, TMZ Sports has confirmed.

News of the split just dropped minutes ago ... with the Athletic reporting ESPN sparked the split.
