Lamar Odom Apologizes to Khloe for Drug Benders ... Vows to Get Her Back

Lamar Odom says he's grateful to Khloe Kardashian for staying by his side through his drug addiction and recovery ... and he wants her back.

Odom opened up about his battle with drugs on "The Doctors" -- and after completing a 30 day stint in rehab, he says one thing is perfectly clear ... "I want my wife back."

"Khloe is important to me," Lamar said ... "She's been through all of this with me and she stood right by my side so I just wanna repay her."

The issue, of course, is that Khloe not only filed for divorce ... and got it finalized ... she's already moved on to another NBA star, Tristan Thompson.

Still, Odom says he has a message for Khloe and the other family members he cares about.

"I just want to tell them I'm sorry for all that wasted time and wasted energy ... that in my addiction I didn't know who I was ... so I couldn't take care of myself. I damn sure couldn't take care of anybody else."

Lamar Odom says he was in a "dark place" before his 2015 drug overdose in Nevada ... and admits his addiction was so bad he was "basically committing suicide."

Odom opened up about his past on "The Doctors" ... saying, "I wasn't in a good place mentally before that incident happened."

He even referenced Khloe Kardashian.

"My wife at the time ... we were going through some things and I was in a dark place."

The show tracked Odom's journey through a 30 day stint at rehab -- where he addressed his demons head on.

Before the stint, Odom was asked if he was ashamed of some of the choices he's made.

"Hell yeah. They were despicable. I was basically committing suicide."

Odom says he "conquered" the treatment and insists he's a changed man ... saying, "I want to get high off of life now."

Lamar Odom Checking Out of Rehab ... 'Doing Much Better'

Lamar Odom has completed a 35 day stint in rehab and will be heading back to his home in L.A. today ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Lamar initially checked into the San Diego treatment facility last month as a preventative measure fearing the anniversary of his son's death in 2006 would drive him back to drugs.

He was also struggling with the recent finalization of his divorce from Khloe Kardashian.

Sources close to Lamar tell us he's doing much better now after "successfully completing the program" and looks forward to getting on with his life back in Los Angeles.

Here's hoping he finds a clean bill of health in 2017.

Valerie Fairman was desperately trying to get clean for years before she died from a suspected overdose ... according to her mother.

Valerie's mom, Janice Fairman, tells TMZ her daughter checked into 5 different rehab treatment facilities over the last 5 years, but she fell off the wagon every time. She says the last time was just a few months ago ... after Valerie had served time in prison for a probation violation.

Janice tells us she last spoke with Valerie a week and a half ago, and while they didn't discuss her sobriety, Janice says Valerie sounded "way up" and "very good."

As we reported ... Valerie died Wednesday while visiting a friend Pennsylvania. Janice says she does not know the friend.

Jennifer Gimenez came off the set of "Blow" as an addict, but turned herself into a rehab guru -- and says she would've helped George Jung get clean too ... if he wanted it.

The actress, who starred in the film about the famous drug smuggler, tells us she got word from someone in George's camp last year telling her he was drinking a lot ... and they were worried he'd get busted if he didn't get treatment.

Watch -- it sounds like the wheels were in motion, but then came to a hard stop when George got busted last week for a parole violation.

Todd Marinovich Back In Rehab ... After Strange Meth Arrest

Ex-NFL player Todd Marinovich is back in rehab ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We spoke to Marinovich's lawyer, Adam Cole, who tells us the former USC star checked himself into a Southern California treatment center this week.

As we previously reported, Marinovich was charged with several crimes -- including meth possession and public nudity -- after cops found him naked in a stranger's backyard back in August.

The ex-QB was scheduled to appear in court this week, but couldn't attend the hearing because he's getting treatment. Cole says he'll give the District Attorney proof that Marinovich is at a rehab facility.

This isn't Marinovich's first time getting help -- he's been to rehab numerous times for substance abuse issues.

Lamar Odom checked himself into rehab out of fear he'd go on a major bender as his deceased son's birthday approached ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Lamar's son, Jayden, was born Dec 15, 2005, but died the following June from SIDS. We're told his son's death was the primary reason he started doing hardcore drugs ... and he was keenly aware the birthday might push him over the edge again.

As we reported, our Lamar sources say he went to a San Diego area facility late last week.

We're told Lamar's also struggling with the fact his divorce from Khloe will be final on Saturday, and he didn't want to be tempted to use.

Lamar is shooting for a 60 day rehab stint. He bailed after 3 weeks when he attempted rehab in 2012.

Kid Cudi Checks Into Rehab

Kid Cudi has checked himself into rehab for depression and suicidal thoughts.

The rapper entered Monday, saying he hasn't felt at peace for years and made the decision to get help for himself, his family, his best friend/daughter and his fans. Cudi continues, "I would've done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life."

Cudi says his upcoming music will still be released as planned and he wanted to finish up all business before starting to focus on his recovery.

You'll remember ... Cudi lashed out at mentor Kanye West and Drake last month for not working with him and using others to write songs. 'Ye responded to the rapper at a recent show, telling him to "Respect the God!"

Chevy is an in-patient at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota ... the same place Robin Williams was treated in 2014.

The rep tells us Chevy is getting help for an alcohol-related problem which she calls a "tune-up." She tells us Chevy "wants to be the best that he can be." He went to Betty Ford in the '80s.

Andy Dick has come so far from the depths of his addiction -- when he was getting arrested all the time -- that he's now doing extensive work for a recovery center.

TMZ has learned Andy is a spokesperson for SOBA ... where he's been getting outpatient treatment for 18 months.

SOBA's Founder and CEO, Greg Hannley, says Andy's become an unofficial staff member, promoting the center on local TV appearances, in magazines and he even has one-on-one meetings with other patients ... who tend to open up to him.

The gig doesn't pay -- Hannley says it's simply Dick's way of paying it forward.

Andy tells us this is the first time he's been excited about sobriety and he's never felt better. SOBA was his 20th rehab stint.

Lamar Odom Crack Pipes In Home Friends Confront Him Over Alleged Drug Use

Lamar Odom's family and friends believe he's back on hard drugs -- and tell us they recently confronted the NBA star and questioned him about crack pipes in his home.

Odom's history with crack is well-documented -- but people close to him thought he'd been scared straight after he overdosed at a Nevada brothel back in October.

But multiple sources close to Odom -- hoping to get through to the NBA star -- tell us he's been acting very strange lately. His friends are convinced he's off the wagon, and for the last few weeks they've been trying to get through to him.

So, a group of people went to his home to convince him to enter rehab -- but Odom scoffed ... telling the group he doesn't need any help. It sounds just like the failed intervention attempt from 2013.

During the confrontation, which took place at Odom's home in Calabasas, we're told his friends noticed drug paraphernalia scattered all over the place ... including crack pipes, baggies and roaches.

We're told the fear is that Odom believes he's invincible -- as evidenced by the fact he's been hitting bars and drinking while still recovering from the damage he suffered from the overdose.

We reached out to Odom for comment -- so far, no word back.
