Carrie Fisher's cherished dog -- a 4-year-old pooch named Gary -- will now be cared for by Carrie's daughter ... TMZ has learned.

Family friends are telling us Billie Lourd will take custody of the French bulldog, which was by Carrie's side on the plane from London to LAX when Carrie's heart stopped. The pooch also visited Carrie at UCLA Medical Center.

Billie already has a French bulldog named Tina, that's best friends with Gary. We're told she wants to make sure the 2 get along in the long term and she's able to handle the added responsibility.

A family source told TMZ, Carrie always wanted Billie to take Gary if something happened to her. If, for some reason, Billie can't care for Gary for the long haul, the dog will remain in the family.

The dog was like a child to Carrie, who carted her best friend almost everywhere she went ... even interviews.

Gary was adopted as a service pet to help Carrie with her bipolar disorder.

We're told even without the drama, everyone's schedule has been crazy this holiday season, and finding time to get the entire family together would have proved to be next to impossible.

Rob and Blac Chyna are a thing again -- but Rob's sisters are tired of the back and forth -- and want nothing to do with the couple anymore.

Sources close to the situation tell us squabbles like the one this past weekend are standard for Rob and BC. We're told this fight escalated beyond the norm because Chyna allegedly got physical with Rob right as Corey Gamble showed up to their house ... and Corey had to literally rip her off Rob.

We're told Corey called a couple of the sisters after he'd broken up the fight, and they went over to play peacemakers, but Chyna left before they got there.

Our sources say the two are talking once again, but aren't living under the same roof ... a constant theme.

And now there's one more thing Michael Phelps does better than everyone else -- his big wedding to Nicole was captured in a Hollywood-style video.

The folks over at Brides got a hold of the video, which set the stage for the Olympic legend's Cabo wedding back in October. You get to see Nicole and Michael prepping for the ceremony, and the setting is downright epic.

The entire production is gold medal-worthy. Naturally.

Jodie Foster has a new obsessed fan -- on top of having to deal with John Hinckley Jr.'s prison release -- and the new one is tracking her everywhere she goes ... according to Jodie's wife.

Her spouse, Alexandra Hedison, got a restraining order against Celine Martelleur ... who's popped up at Alex and Jodie's Bev Hills home, and also in Toronto when Jodie was filming there.

Alexandra says Martelleur has repeatedly professed love for Jodie -- mostly in creepy emails, one of which said, "I am still in Toronto until next month. I am around avoiding cops. Jodie is in my thoughts every minute."

In the docs, Alexandra says she was home on Dec. 9 when Martelleur buzzed at their security gate. When Alexandra asked via intercom who it was, she says Martelleur replied, "Celine, you should know who it is." She called cops, but law enforcement sources tell us officers didn't arrest Martelleur because there was no protective order.

Kylie Jenner's putting one of her empty cribs to good use -- we're told she's renting it out to Rob and Blac Chyna.

The new mom and pop moved into the Hidden Hills, CA home this week, and the reason's simple -- Rob and Blac wanted a bigger pad, and to be closer to Kris and Kim's nearby homes with baby Dream now in the picture.

As TMZ reported, BC's house in Tarzana was supposed to be home base once Dream arrived. But that plan's changed, and we're told Rob's still working out leasing terms with his little sis.

This is the same 6 bedroom, 7 bath spread where Chyna recently posed with King Cairo ... Christmas lights and all.

TMZ Sports has obtained a copy of Kobe and Vanessa's brand new baby certificate and it lists her full name -- Bianka Bella Bryant! She was born at exactly 4:09 PM at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach.

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian are sticking to their guns when it comes to stopping Blac Chyna from the family name -- and neither marriage nor their mom will change that.

Sources close to the sisters tell us they will not withdraw their opposition to Chyna's application to trademark "Angela Renee Kardashian" -- despite Chyna's side saying there's no legal war brewing.

As we told you, BC sources say Kris Jenner reached out and promised to call off the lawyers. But our K sis sources say that's not how they feel about it. We're told it's nothing personal against BC, just biz -- they feel adding an extra woman to the roster will dilute the brand they've worked so hard to build.

We're told they think it's odd Chyna didn't move for a trademark when she was with Tyga -- although that's kinda apples and oranges. $1 if you know his last name.

Our sources close to Kris say the conversation those close to Chyna alleged the two had to smooth things over never even took place.

On a personal level, we're told everyone in the fam is getting along well with Chyna since the birth of Dream. Still, business is business and our sources say the sisters' lawyers have made several attempts to negotiate ... but Chyna's team's gone radio silent.

Will Smith doesn't give a damn how his new movie does at the box office or how many awards it might grab ... because it helped him cope with his dad's death, and to him, that's all that matters.

Smith did a Q&A on Facebook Live from the company's headquarters Thursday and opened up about how "Collateral Beauty" made dealing with his dad's death easier. In the movie, Smith plays a man whose daughter dies ... and Will says he learned his dad had cancer just as film prep started.

Will says the film allowed him to open up to his dad as he battled with cancer ... and when he passed in November, it was easier for him to say goodbye.

Blac Chyna got railroaded by the Kardashians' attorneys -- not the K sisters themselves -- in her effort to trademark herself as a member of the fam ... and now Kris Jenner's doing damage control.

Sources close to BC tell TMZ ... Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe reached out to her and assured her their lawyers were following standard ops when they filed docs to block Chyna's application to trademark "Angela Renee Kardashian" -- not singling her out.

The assurances were necessary after the language the lawyers used. We broke the story ... the docs said all 3 sisters would "suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill" if Chyna got the green light to use the Kardashian name in entertainment.

We're told Kris personally told Chyna there's no beef ... it was a simple mix-up and she's calling off the legal eagles. For now, everyone's saying the right things to make Chyna feel better about the legal diss -- but, fact is, her trademark still hasn't been approved.
