Zach Braff's 2023 film, "A Good Person," deals heavily with the subject of addiction ... and he told Dax Shepard he's had his own struggles in the past.

During an interview on Dax's "Armchair Expert" podcast, Zach admitted he used to have a complicated relationship with alcohol ... which he was eager to change.

He said, "I definitely have had binge-drinking problems in my life. My problem with alcohol was never, 'Oh, I wanna drink at noon,' ever. So I rationalized that just drinking a f***-ton on a Saturday night until you blacked out wasn't an alcohol problem."

Jane Fonda seemed to shade Barbra Streisand's touching tribute to Robert Redford at this year's Oscars.

At the event last night, she told Entertainment Tonight ... "I want to know how come Streisand was up there doing that for Redford."

The "Grace and Frankie" star apparently felt she was a better choice to do the in memoriam segment honoring Redford, adding ... "She only made one movie with him. I made four. I had more to say."

Ryan Coogler and Paul Thomas Anderson dominated the night at the Oscars Sunday night, but any competition between them was clearly friendly ... we got the directors celebrating their success together right after the show.

As you know ... Coogler won Best Screenplay for "Sinners" ... while PTA won Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Director for "One Battle After Another."

The 2026 Oscars had several unforgettable moments ... including Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor, and the emotional tribute to Rob Reiner ... but the show also had two massive whiffs during the In Memoriam segment.

Fans were shocked -- and from the comments on social media, pretty appalled -- that both James Van Der Beek and Eric Dane were left out of the remembrance portion of the show.

It could be argued that the late actors are better known for their TV roles ... but they were both featured in films, so the criteria certainly seemed to be there.

Lewis Hamilton has another trophy to add to his case -- the "F1" film he produced took home an Oscar on Sunday ... and the Ferrari superstar was pumped for the huge win!

The 2025 sports drama -- starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris -- won Best Sound at the Oscars, a movie Hamilton not only produced and appeared in, but also worked with legendary composer Hans Zimmer on shaping the movie's soundtrack and score.

Hamilton even got a shoutout for his contribution during the acceptance speech ... and he returned the love by applauding the whole crew for the win.

The actress' daughters Shawn and Julia Pace Mitchell confirmed the passing to Deadline, saying their mother "died peacefully in her sleep" Wednesday and was surrounded by family during a trip to Marina Del Rey.

Pace was a pioneer in the industry, making a name for herself as a fixture in many Blaxploitation films of the 1970s and won an NAACP Image Award for Best Actress for her TV role as Pat Walters on "The Young Lawyers."
