'Star Trek' Legend I Support J.J. Abrams Directing 'Star Wars'

Published | Updated

Unlike the rest of the nerd universe, Captain Kirk (aka William Shatner) isn't offended that J.J. Abrams is directing the new "Star Wars" AND "Star Trek" flicks at the same time -- in fact, he thinks it's "wonderful."

There's been a lot of backlash over Abrams' dual directing roles, particularly because of the rivalry among "Star Wars" fans and Trekkies ... who believe Abrams' involvement in both projects represents some kind of conflict of interest.

But Shatner's different -- he says he's a huge Abrams fan and can't wait to see the movies.

Also in this clip ... 1) We ask Shatner if Priceline pays for his travel expenses ... 2) Shatner cusses at another driver who won't turn right on a red light. Classic.

Kiefer Sutherland On '24' Movie ... Hell Yeah, It's Possible

Published | Updated

Jack Bauer could FINALLY end up killing terrorists on the big screen ... at least according to Kiefer Sutherland who tells TMZ there's still a very real chance "24" could be made into a feature film.

Kiefer was out with his '24' team at Mr. Chow last night -- executive producer Howard Gordon and director Jon Cassar -- and we figured it was the perfect time to ask about Jack's long-term future.

The rumors of a "24" movie have been swirling for years -- and got even stronger when show honchos announced the series was returning to TV next summer after taking a break back in 2010.

Question is ... IF the show was made into a movie -- how many people do you think Jack can kill in a 2-hour span? We're setting the line at 45.

Kevin Connolly 'Entourage' Movie IS HAPPENING All Actors Now On Board

Published | Updated

It's not official yet, but the "Entourage" movie is 100% happening -- in fact, production is expected to kick off as soon as January -- so says "Entourage" star Kevin Connolly.

Connolly -- who played E on the show -- was out in NYC this morning when we asked about the status of the film.

As we reported, executive producer Mark Wahlberg previously said the project was on hold due to certain "greedy" actors demanding unreasonable sums of money (he didn't specify who) -- but it sounds like they've since solved their money issues.

Connolly now says the project is back on track, and everyone is on board. They're gunning to start production in January. FINALLY. Check the clip for details.

'Reservoir Dogs' REUNITED Mr. Brown, Mr. White and Mr. Orange

"Reservoir Dogs" stars Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth reunited with co-star/director Quentin Tarantino last night in France -- and not one person was shot.

It was all for an award being given to Q.T. at the Lumiere Film Festival in Lyon ... where both Keitel and Roth gave speeches during the presentation.

Last year was the 20th anniversary of "Dogs" ... and the movie is widely considered one of the best independent films of all time.

It's unclear if they were discussing the appropriate tipping amount.

'Dumb and Dumber To' Lights, Stolen Camera, No Action

Published | Updated

One of the camera guys for "Dumb and Dumber To" is about to owe the studio a big fat I.O.U. -- cause while he was chowing down at IHOP ... a $500k camera was stolen from his car.

The camera guy was eating something vaguely delicious while the evildoers broke into his whip. Authorities think the crooks may have messed with the door lock.

The camera was reportedly being taken to a waiting helicopter where it was going to be mounted for a "To" shoot.

The photog is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can help them find it undamaged.

Just when you thought someone couldn't possibly be anymore dumb ...

Jerry Ferrara Don't Blame Me Wahlberg I'll Do 'Entourage' for Free

Published | Updated

1:00 PM PT -- Adrian Grenier shed some light on the "Entourage" feud ... saying, "It has, & never will be about the money for me. I promise."

However on his Instagram, AG added ... the issue really is about money ... but for the entire cast -- "I will sign any deal that gives ALL the boys an opportunity to share in the upside of success EQUALLY." Translation: Someone on the cast is getting paid way more than everyone else, and Adrian's pissed.

The mystery of the "Entourage" movie just got a little deeper -- Turtle, aka Jerry Ferrara tells us he doesn't care how much he gets paid ... and it's not his fault the project's on hold.

TMZ broke the story ... "Entourage" executive producer Mark Wahlberg said the long anticipated film version of the HBO show would start shooting when the "guys stop being so greedy."

Today at LAX, Jerry claimed Mark wasn't pointing the finger at him because, "I'd do it for free."

Here's the deal ... Jeremy Piven and Kevin Connelly have reportedly already signed deals ... so that would leave Jerry, Adrian Grenier, and Kevin Dillon as holdouts.

So, we gotta ask ...

Michael Bay AC Attacker Was an Extortionist!

Published | Updated

Michael Bay just told TMZ ... the man who attacked him with an air conditioner was an extortionist who vowed to torpedo "Transformers 4" unless Bay paid him off.

Bay told us on "TMZ Live" that he was shooting in a Hong Kong neighborhood earlier in the week and had paid various businesses on the surrounding streets money in return for shutting down during the shoot. One dude held out, and, according to Bay, set out to ruin the shoot by turning on an electric saw and making other noises when the cameras were rolling.

Bay says the guy -- who he's convinced was on drugs -- came at him with the air conditioning unit.

The way he tells it ... very entertaining.

Crocodile Dundee Wife Files for Divorce ... G'Bye Mate

Published | Updated

Paul Hogan's wife and "Crocodile Dundee" co-star has filed to divorce her hubby of 23 years ... TMZ has learned.

Linda Hogan -- no, not her -- cites irreconcilable differences. She wants spousal support, and joint legal and physical custody of their 15-year-old son, Chance.

As for money ... there will be a lot to divvy up ... Paul is worth a reported $20 mil.

Linda wants to erase any trace of being married to the "Crocodile Dundee" legend -- she wants her maiden name restored.

According to the docs the couple separated last month. A rep for Paul says the split has been amicable.

Hope it goes better than the divorce with his first wife, Noelene. Paul married her, then divorced her, then remarried her. When it finally blew up in 1986, it became one of Australia's ugliest celeb divorces ever.

There was certainly a sign trouble was brewing ... Paul and Linda sold their Malibu mansion last month to Chris Hemsworth.

Bottom line ... it's a crocodile done deal.

Famed director Michael Bay almost got clobbered by what appears to be a drugged out crazy who swung an air conditioner at his head on the set of "Transformers 4."

The incident occurred today in Hong Kong. The attacker somehow made it on the set, accosted several members and then set his sights on Bay. When Bay realized what was up, he saw the crazy man swinging an air conditioner right at his noggin.

Bay then wrestled the unit out of the attacker's hands and security quickly subdued him.

There are reports out that Bay was injured by 2 men on the set -- untrue.

9:30 AM PT --
Shooter was SUPER wasted ... and barely able to utter a coherent sentence ... this according to one of the guys who shared a beer with McDonald just hours before his DUI arrest.

Jonathan Mincher tells TMZ he and his buddies (seen in the pic below) were drinking at Lagerheads Tavern in Wrightsville Beach, NC when Shooter walked in with a friend.

Mincher says Shooter was drinking beer ... and could hardly speak. But we're told he was a sport ... and bought Mincher and his crew a round. Mincher says when he left the bar at 1 AM ... Shooter was still there going strong.

Law enforcement tell us ... Shooter's blood alcohol level was .15 -- almost double the legal limit.

Before the arrest, Shooter was drinking beers with a few guys at a bar -- and definitely appears toasty.

It appears he was in Wilmington filming a movie called "The Squeeze."

Movie bigwigs will have to post $1,000 to get their star out of the slammer.

Mark Wahlberg 'Greedy' People Holding Up 'Entourage' Movie

Published | Updated

Mark Wahlberg -- who inspired and executive produced "Entourage" -- finally revealed the REAL holdup on the "Entourage" movie ... certain people are being way too greedy.

There's been talk of an "Entourage" flick ever since the HBO series wrapped back in 2011 ... and several actors have expressed serious interest in the project, but it hasn't gotten off the ground.

So,yesterday at LAX, we asked Mark when everyone's favorite Hollywood crew would finally reunite on the big screen -- and the answer we got was very interesting:

"As soon as them guys stop being so greedy."

Mark wouldn't specify who he was talking about, but he did explain that the "greedy" people need to look at the situation from a "long term" mindset -- "It's one of those things where if the movie's a success, we'll get to make a lot more of them and then we'll probaby make a lot of money."
