The letter introduced by Justin Baldoni's team claiming Blake Lively tried to force a statement of public support out of Taylor Swift has been struck from the official record ... with a judge claiming it's not relevant to the current case.

Judge Lewis Liman struck the letter from the official record Thursday ... ruling the letter doesn't actually ask the court to do anything and it's not important to the specific issues before the court.

In fact, the judge explains, it only serves to "'promote public scandal' by advancing inflammatory accusations, on information and belief, against Lively and her counsel."

The legendary actor, who appeared in a wide variety of films across decades, died on May 7, according to an obituary from his family Wednesday night. His cause of death was not disclosed.

3:35 PM PT -- Blake's attorney Michael Gottlieb just filed a motion to strike Justin Baldoni's letter from the court docket as "baseless, unnecessary, improper and abusive."

Blake Lively's attorneys allegedly tried to force Taylor Swift into publicly supporting Lively in her beef with Justin Baldoni by threatening to release Taylor's private text messages if she didn't play ball ... at least according to Baldoni's lawyer.

In new legal docs obtained by TMZ, Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman claims the subpoena he sent to lawyers for Taylor was intended to get information related to possible witness tampering and evidence spoliation.

Freedman claims he has it from a good source that Blake allegedly requested that Taylor delete their text messages.

French actor Gérard Depardieu has been found guilty of sexual assault and given an 18-month suspended sentence.

The 76-year-old actor was convicted Tuesday of groping a 54-year-old set dresser and a 34-year-old assistant on the set of the 2021 film, "The Green Shutters," according to multiple outlets.

His conviction follows a four-day trial in March, during which a set dresser reportedly accused Depardieu of pinning her in a narrow corridor with his legs and fondling her body, including her breasts, behind and pubic area.
