Charlie Puth's fans in Orlando, Florida just got a huge letdown -- he canceled Saturday night's performance due to an illness.

The artist hopped on Instagram and told his fans he was "devastated" to scrap the show, but explained ... "I've been sick for the last few days and am now being instructed to rest or else risk canceling more dates on this tour."

He did not reveal what illness he is fighting, but it sounds pretty serious -- he said he's physically "unable to perform" and "without a voice."

The "How Long" hitmaker is currently on his "Whatever's Clever!" world tour, supporting his newest album of the same name. The trek kicked off in San Diego, California in May and has dates in America through June 13 before hitting pause for about two weeks. He'll then resume the tour on June 27 in Europe before wrapping on July 30.

This isn't the first time Charlie has had to cancel a show due to illness ... and he's certainly not the first artist to axe a show -- or in some cases, entire tours -- for various factors.

Meghan Trainor and Zayn Malik just canceled their tours, while The Pussycat Dolls scrapped most of their U.S. dates ... rumored to be due to poor ticket sales. Dolly Parton also just canceled her upcoming Las Vegas residency due to ongoing kidney stone treatments.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ between 1,100 and 1,200 people will show up at MSG July 3 to watch the couple become husband and wife. We're told Taylor and Travis have gone to great lengths to ensure privacy, and that includes communicating with invitees by text, rather than physical invitations.

As we reported, the advantage of MSG is that there are no windows from which photographers can shoot pictures of the event. There is also underground parking so guests can enter and exit without crowds converging on them.

A blood-soaked Lil Poppa was taken off in a stretcher after shooting himself in his car ... new police bodycam video from his February suicide shows.

TMZ obtained the footage Friday and it shows the law enforcement response to Lil Poppa's
suicide in Georgia ... including the moment cops find him slumped over his his car, with blood all over the interior.

You can see Lil Poppa on a stretcher before paramedics rush him to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As for the venue ... there's a buzz Taylor and Travis will by tying the knot at Madison Square Garden, but no word yet if that's indeed the place. Reality is ... the bride and groom have lots of iconic options for their big day -- Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, the NYC Public Library ... the list goes on.

Taylor and Trav are, obviously, doing all they can to keep their choice top secret, because our source says she's been reaching out to her guests over text with more info ... though it's unclear if formal invites were ever sent out.
