She's practically old enough to be his mom ... but that didn't stop Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly from hopping into a car with Harry Styles last night after a romantic dinner in L.A..

There's been a lot of speculation that 19-year-old Harry has been dating the 33-year-old ... fresh off his breakup from Taylor Swift ... and it's clear from the video, something is definitely going on.

Harry and Kimberly joined Rod and his wife Penny for dinner at Dan Tana's -- and sources inside the restaurant tell TMZ, H&K were flirtatiously fooling around throughout the meal.

There are reports Harry was targeting Rod's 25-year-old daughter Ruby ... but our sources insist Kimberly was DEFINITELY the touchy one. FYI, Kimberly recently had a baby with Benicio Del Toro.

There's a boy band war brewing between Mindless Behavior and One Direction ... and MB has fired the first shot, claiming 1D is second rate because they're LAME DANCERS.

The guys of Mindless Behavior were at Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood over the weekend when we asked who's better ... MB or 1D ... and shocker, they said MB.

The reason ... "We can dance."

The former N'SYNCer was leaving Katsuya in L.A. last night when we asked about the photo of 18-year-old One Direction member Harry Styles toolin' around Bev Hills in a $200k Ferrari California.

Lance's advice ... "It's a terrible investment at this stage ... SAVE YOUR MONEY, SAVE YOUR MONEY!"

For the record, One Direction has only been around since 2011 and have only released one major album.

The 18-year-old's new luxury ride is a Ferrari California, which retails for around $200K.

First off ... there are 2 bands called One Direction. Second off ... the unfamous One Direction sued the famous One Direction for allegedly jacking the name. Third off ... now the famous One Direction is countersuing the unfamous One Direction, saying the famous band had the name first.

The famous band now claims it has achieved "global fame and success" and some local knock-off is now trying to ride its coattails. The unfamous One Direction begs to differ.

Using their powers of camouflage, Malia Obama's Secret Service detail managed to go totally unnoticed at a tween-filled One Direction concert Thursday night ... well, ALMOST unnoticed.

As TMZ first reported, the two boy bands had a run-in earlier this month when they were both booked in the same rehearsal space on the same day. We're told the boys from One Direction cut their rehearsal short because they didn't want to have a confrontation with The Wanted.

But last night in Hollywood, Nathan told us there is no reason for One Direction to be afraid of them. He told us, "I am pretty sure we don't intimate other teenage boys."
