Internet sensation Colonel Meow died of CARDIAC ARREST ... triggered while valiantly trying to fight off a kidney infection ... TMZ has learned.

The Colonel's owner Anne Marie Avery tells us ... Meow was rushed to a hospital last week after he started breathing heavily -- and docs quickly realized his kidneys were failing because of an infection.

Colonel fought like cats and dogs for a week ... but stress eventually got the best of him.

Avery plans to create a charity in the Colonel's honor -- and she's already got the support of Grumpy Cat and Keyboard Cat.

Jason Biggs better learn the horah ... 'cause his dog turned 13 Thursday -- and his wife threw the cute pooch its own "bark mitzvah" to celebrate.

Like a true yenta ... Jason's wife Jenny Mollen documented the whole ceremony on her Instagram when she and Biggs took the dog -- named Teets -- to a temple to make things official.

The whole fam dined on challah afterward to commemorate the special day.

Sources connected to the lion tell us ... the lion's name is Felix -- and rapper Meek Mill shelled out $9,000 for the king of the jungle to appear at his Hollywood Hills mansion party for 3 hours.

As we previously reported, Mill's party was PACKED with huge stars like Diddy, Drake, Nicki Minaj and more ... but Felix happens to be a heavyweight in his own right.

We know ... Felix had a starring role in the 2011 flick, "We Bought a Zoo" ... which featured Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson.

Felix has also starred in several commercials (he's not as proud about those -- but hey, he's gotta pay the bills).

Cops swarmed the Grammy afterparty thrown by Meek Mill in the Hollywood Hills -- a party so wild it had more than a thousand celebs and actual WILD ANIMALS!!

Meek rented out a mansion on Mulholland Drive and hosted Diddy, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow and many more -- but the bash was still going at 5 AM ... and that's when the California Highway Patrol stepped in to shut it down.

TMZ sources inside the party tell us most of the guests were shuttled up to the mansion -- but others parked illegally along Mulholland -- and cops were towing cars as the sun came up.

Hundreds of guests were stranded, wandering the street trying to get home.

Still ... it was totally worth the hassle because we're told bottles of Ace of Spades were flowing by the thousands -- and he had a camel and a LION posing for pics with guests!

Ain't no party like a Meek Mill party ...

What do you get when you mix the most popular DJs in Australia, tons of booze, bad ass parties, a music video and a kangaroo -- one big, fat lawsuit.

Cash Money Records artists The Stafford Brothers were smacked with the lawsuit this week ... after owners of a dope pad they rented in Studio City sued them for allegedly leaving it in shambles.

The owners claim the group threw lots of parties -- including one for their music video "Hello" featuring Lil Wayne -- violating the lease and wrecking the joint by:

-- "Illegal" service of alcohol

-- Pouring liquid nitrogen in the house

-- Installing a skate ramp

-- Allowing a LIVE KANGAROO to roam the house

The owners want the group to ante up more than $100k -- plus another $25K in punitive damages to teach them a lesson.

Side note: the kangaroo party looks AWESOME!!

Rapper Pitbull torpedoed a famous Egyptian singer's music video -- after the singer spent hundreds of thousands to produce it -- and it's all Akon's fault ... this according to a new lawsuit.

Singer Tamer Hosny filed the suit against Akon ... claiming he paid the singer $300K for both him and Pitbull to sing on Tamer's new song "Arabian Knight."

Akon delivered the track -- but according to the lawsuit, in return for the $300K ... Akon and Pitbull were supposed to appear in the "Arabian Knight" music video ... but Pitbull was a no show.

Tamer claims Akon promised to deliver Pitbull for the shoot, so it's his fault and he's on the hook.

Tamer says it's double the disaster because he had to pay $100K for cameras and crew the day of the shoot ... all for nothing.

For some reason ... Pitbull was not sued.

"Shipping Wars" star Roy Garber's beloved cat won't be a casualty in the wake of the his death ... TMZ has learned it's already en route to a home filled with other cute creatures.

Garber's cat Muffy was a fixture on the show ... he refused to travel without her. So it's no surprise ... the friendly feline was at Roy's side when he passed away last week ... according to his girlfriend.

We're told Texas authorities got in touch with Roy's family and made arrangements to ship the cat back to Roy's home state of New Hampshire to live with his mom.

Yesterday was a bad day for sitcom stars ... TMZ has learned Cindy Brady's cat died -- just like The Professor from "Gilligan's Island" and Dave Madden from "The Partridge Family."

Susan Olsen's cat -- Sacha Baron Kitteh -- got seriously ill back in December ... and passed away Thursday after battling valiantly for a month.

Following the death ... Olsen asked an org she works with to set up a donations page for anyone looking to make a contribution in Sacha's honor.

Tori Spelling's dog will not bite the dust in the foreseeable future ... because the pooch just got a reprieve.

TMZ broke the story ... Spelling boarded the dog 3 years ago with her dog walker because she felt it was unsafe to have a big pit bull around her small kids.

Tori was paying a hefty $525 a month to board Dizzle, but the dog walker went nuclear last week when she hadn't received payment and threatened to take the dog to a shelter ... which means almost certain death.

But good news for Dizzle ... Much Love Animal Rescue contacted the dog walker and offered to take the dog and place it in another boarding facility until they can place the pooch in a proper home.

Trust us, you want to be Paris Hilton's bitch ... because her dogs already have their own mansion -- air conditioning, furniture and chandelier included -- and now she says their crib is about to get way more baller.

Paris was shopping in NYC's Meatpacking District on Monday when she told us about the SICK upgrade she's about to install for her nearly 20 (at last count) pups.

Let's just say ... you might want to change your Super Bowl plans.

Former "Real Housewives of New York" star Jill Zarin broke one of the golden rules of fine dining at the opening of a fancy steakhouse in NYC -- she asked for a doggie bag.

Zarin made the gourmet goof-up at the opening of NYY Steak in midtown Manhattan last week ... alongside the likes of Kris Jenner, Christina Milian and James Lipton.

We're told some NYY staffers were taken aback by Zarin's faux pas -- since most food snobs frown on great meats becoming leftovers.

Then again, Jill does have a dog. A tiny one, but still.

Former WWE Champ Jeff Hardy's precious little dachshund was RUSHED TO AN EMERGENCY VET LAST WEEK ... but don't worry, the courageous pooch made it out alive.

The dog (named Sophie) injured herself jumping off the back of their couch while playing with the wrestler and his wife ... but the couple assumed she had just sprained an ankle.

After a few days of limping, they decided to take Sophie to an emergency vet ... where doctors said the dog had cracked a bone in her foot -- so they hooked her up with a splint.

In the meantime ... Jeff's wife Beth says they're just focusing on keeping Sophie off the back of the couch.

Tori Spelling is in the middle of a bizarre dog dispute that could end with her pooch getting put to death ... TMZ has learned.

Claudia -- who has worked for Tori for years -- tells TMZ she was Tori's dog walker but in 2011 the animals got too big for the 90210 star's digs and Tori asked Claudia to board the dogs at her home ... for a price of $525 a month.

Claudia says she didn't get paid this month and went ballistic. She tried getting in touch with Tori, Dean and their accountant, with no success. Claudia then spoke with a TMZ producer and she said if she didn't get her money by Monday she would take the dog to the shelter where it will more than likely be euthanized.

We then called Tori's people ... and they were completely in the dark. Word got back to Tori and she went crazy and texted the woman and asked what the hell was going on. Tori said she had no idea Claudia had not been paid and now she wants here dog back ... STAT.

Akon's got a serious poop problem in his backyard ... 'cause his pet tigers are dumping like crazy ... and you won't believe how much scat they drop a week.

The "Smack That" singer was on his way into LAX when he told us he owns two tigers -- named Simba and Tony (clever) -- who drop some serious dookies.

Akon says he only cages his tigers at night ... and trusts Tony and Simba enough to let them roam his yard during the day.

Justin Bieber just adopted another pet he will almost certainly abandon ... TMZ has learned.

Justin was at a pet store in Stratford, Canada Thursday ... just to window shop. But then -- sadly -- he fell in love with a 7-week-old American Bulldog named Petey. Justin bought the dog for $600. He also bought dog food (we're guessing the small bag), toys and a collar.

So why you ask are we so cynical? Maybe because Justin once owned a hamster, which he gave away to a random fan -- the critter subsequently bit the dust. He also abandoned a pet monkey in Germany.

It's like Justin is creating his own Neverland -- for pet orphans.
