Lindsay Lohan's nude Playboy spread did NOT live up to the hype ... so says someone who's DEFINITELY in a position to judge -- 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk.

Hope was out in L.A. yesterday -- leaving a waxing salon called Stript Wax Bar -- when we asked about the pics ... and she replied, "I saw that spread ... and I was not impressed."

She added, "I just feel like if I would have known I was doing a Playboy shoot, I would have worked out more maybe."

So, we gotta ask ...

Lo and behold ... the only surviving shot from the Lindsay Lohan Playboy photo shoot that hasn't been touched up by professionals ... and it might be the best one of the entire spread.

The pic was taken behind the scenes during Lindsay's 2-day shoot back in November -- right before she disrobed for a Marilyn Monroe-inspired spread.

The final shoots were leaked onto the web yesterday -- and while Lindsay looks good, it's obvious they were photoshopped like a mutha.

So, we gotta ask ...

Hugh Hefner has been screwed by the Internet .. and now the Playboy honcho has announced he's releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early ... after the entire spread was leaked on the web.

Hef just tweeted, "Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early."

As we previously reported, Playboy invested a TON of money into the Lohan edition -- and had printed thousands of extra copies in anticipation of unprecedented demand.

Lindsay Lohan's highly classified Playboy photo shoot leaked to the Internet this morning -- one week before the issues was set to hit newsstands -- and TMZ has learned Playboy honchos are "freaking out."

First off -- the pics aren't bad ... it's a Marilyn Monroe thing ... and it works.

Playboy sources tell us ... there are fears the leak could significantly damage sales of the magazine ... which is expected to be the best seller of the year.

The shoot was a massive investment for Playboy -- the mag shelled out nearly $1 million to Lohan for the spread and we're told the company has printed thousands of extra copies in anticipation of a sales boom.

The "Leather Meets Lace" party at the Playboy Mansion has triggered a lawsuit, filed by men who allegedly had to pay for admission while "gorgeous ladies" did not.

Steve Frye is suing on behalf of all men who paid $1,000 to get into the shindig. In his lawsuit, Frye claims he was fried when he learned "gorgeous ladies" got in free.

Frye claims the double standard is sex discrimination, pure and simple. He also says offering these women free admission "promotes harmful, negative stereotypes."

He's suing for unspecified damages ... and a life.

Lindsay Lohan was not immediately sent to jail because the judge decided to allow her time to complete her nude photo shoot for Playboy ... TMZ has learned.

Sources directly connected with Lindsay tell us ... Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Holley, told the judge in chambers that Lindsay had a contract with Playboy -- a contract of nearly $1 million -- and the shoot must be completed this week. If it isn't, Lindsay would be in breach of her contract.

So Judge Stephanie Sautner cut LiLo a break ... and gave her one week to surrender. Lindsay will surrender for the camera in the next few days.

Justice is not only blind ... sometimes it's stark naked.

Former Playboy Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole thinks Lindsay Lohan better do something "like nasty" to justify her almost-million dollar payday from Playboy ... including, "spread eagle."

Nicole explains, "if you're getting a million dollars, I wanna see s**t I've never seen before."

Lindsay Lohan's been a very naughty girl ... and this weekend, she dressed the part ... to kick it at the annual Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion.

Seemingly inspired by her cleaning duties at the morgue, Lohan donned her sexiest French maid uniform Saturday night ... and hung out with a bunch of other ladies who've bared all in the mag.

TMZ broke the story ... Playboy shelled out nearly a million bucks to get Lindsay to strip down to her birthday suit. Still no word on when the spread is expected to hit the shelves.

Reports circulated Lindsay would pull one of those lame semi-nude fiascos -- all sideboob, no fun -- but sources close to Hef & co. tell us, that is NOT the case. Lindsay did insist the photos be "tastefully done," but we're told she's still going the full monty.

It's unclear when Lindsay will grace the cover -- but it could be the life-giving jolt Playboy needs for a comeback.

Lindsay's rep said, "I can neither confirm or deny at this time." Playboy didn't immediately respond to our email or phone call. 

According to sources, the shoot started over the weekend -- which means Linds was juggling her court ordered morgue duties ... with getting nekkid.

Deal of the century -- some mystery buyer just purchased the massive engagement ring Hugh Hefner gave to Crystal Harris ... for a fraction of the original $90,000 price tag.

Sources tell TMZ, the unidentified bidder won Crystal's auction this morning -- bidding $38,000 for the 3.39 carat circular-cut diamond. With taxes and fees, the final bill was $47,500.

Shockingly, the ring actually exceeded auctioneer expectations -- because it was only supposed to sell for $20 -$30k.

Hugh reportedly shelled out the full $90k for the ring when he proposed to Crystal less than a year ago -- but Crystal called the wedding off.

A diamond isn't always forever ... sometimes it's only for 6 months -- especially for Hugh Hefner's ex-fiancee Crystal Harris ... who just put her engagement ring on a pretty famous auction block!

TMZ has learned ... the platinum ring, which boasts a 3.39 carat circular-cut diamond -- will be auctioned off by Christie's in NYC next month.

According to the listing, the ring is expected to sell somewhere in the range of $20 -$30k.

Sources close to Crystal tell us ... the former Playboy model "couldn't bear to look at the ring anymore because it brought back bad memories."

Journey guitarist Neal Schon married 1986 Playboy Playmate Ava Fabian just TWO MONTHS AGO -- and she tells TMZ, she's absolutely devastated by her husband's affair with Michaele Salahi.

Ava -- who claims she was with Neal right before he went on tour, tells us, "This is very painful for me. I'm very hurt." It's pretty clear from the video ... she never suspected a thing.

Ava and Neal got married in Paris in July -- and as you can see in the pics, the entire band was there.

Some photos of a celebrity man nozzle has the folks at Playgirl all hot and bothered ... after the dong shots were allegedly stolen and leaked to the Internet ... TMZ has learned.

The man connected to the wiener is "Real World: Hollywood" muscle head Joey Kovar-- who banked $20k to pose in a fully nude spread that was supposed to be revealed later this year.

So when the photos turned up on TheDirty.com recently -- Playgirl wasn't amused ... and fired off a cease and desist letter to the website. Playgirl is demanding Dirty honcho Nik Richie immediately take down the shots ... or else face the wrath of a lawsuit.

At the time of this post, TheDirty had not removed the pics ... and we're told the site has no plans to take them down.

The Playboy Playmate who shot her husband in the chest last year told police she only pulled the trigger AFTER he slapped her in the face ... this according to new court docs obtained by TMZ.

66-year-old Victoria Rathgeb -- who was the 1968 Playmate of the Year under the name Angela Dorian -- spoke with investigators following the shooting ... who claim she never "expressed remorse or regret for her actions."

Officers say Victoria told them she and her husband had gotten into an argument inside their Hollywood apartment ... and after he grabbed his things and started to leave, she grabbed her gun and followed him.

Victoria claimed her husband then slapped her in the face, so she shot him. The victim also spoke to police about the incident, but made no mention of slapping her. He DID say that Victoria had been constantly accusing him of cheating ... and often verbally abused him.

Investigators concluded that Victoria "has a serious and violent anger management problem, and lacks impulse control. This type of behavior cannot be minimized, tolerated or justified."

1968 Playboy playmate of the year Angela Dorian has just been sentenced to 9 YEARS behind bars for shooting her husband in the chest in 2010.

66-year-old Dorian -- aka Victoria Rathgeb -- aka Victoria Vetri -- pled no contest to attempted voluntary manslaughter in L.A. County Superior Court.

On top of the 9 year sentence -- Dorian was ordered to pay $70 thousand into California's victim restitution fund.

TMZ broke the story ... Angela grabbed a handgun a fired one shot at Bruce Rathgeb following a heated argument inside their Hollywood apartment.
