TILL DARTH DO US PART

The Jedi council assembled to marry off a couple of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" super fans ... who managed to wrangle R2-D2 to be their best man.

Andrew Porters and Caroline Ritter have been camping outside the Chinese Theater in Hollywood to see the movie. Their plan all along was to tie the knot on opening day, and a viral campaign about the wedding helped them raise money for charity.

It also got the attention of the theater's CEO ... who hooked them up with full Star Wars honors for their ceremony. Besides R2 ... the wedding party also included Chewbacca and a Stormtrooper.

Of course, Darth Vader just had to be the father ... of the bride.

Cue the little fuzzy guys ...

'Star Wars' Disneyland Outlaws Blasters

Published | Updated

Disney is pulling the plug on pretend warfare by banning all toy guns -- including 'Star Wars' blasters -- from their parks.

Mouse honchos weren't specific on why they upped security measures for Disneyland and Disney World -- but it could be a preemptive response as 'The Force Awakens' is set to premiere.

Other security additions include metal detectors at park entrances, and a ban on adults wearing costumes or masks.

It's a bold move for Disney -- possibly losing tons of cash in merchandise on shelved blasters, and other toy weapons.

SeaWorld also announced heightened security measures -- for anybody still going there.

THE FORCE IS GARBAGE

Talk about living up to your nickname ...

UFC superstar Ryan "Darth" Bader (get it?) says he'd kick the living snot out of a Jedi in a street fight ... and he's even got a strategy to do it.

The clip is pretty funny ... especially since "Darth" says he's not even a real 'Star Wars' fan -- he just liked the nickname better than the other option, "Master" (get it?).

Bader fights Rumble Johnson at UFC Fight Night in January ... the force is strong with those two.

Disney honchos went to great lengths during the previews to protect what could become their most valuable asset -- 'Star Wars.'

Everyone who was invited to see the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was wanded when they entered the theater for any devices that might capture images or audio. They were all told to surrender their cell phones at the door.

Media reps all received an email before the event, which read in part, "In order to give audiences around the world the opportunity to enjoy Star Wars: The Force Awakens to its fullest and allow them to discover its surprises and plot twists in the cinema, we respectfully ask that you as press continue to be our partners on this journey, and we ask that you refrain from revealing spoilers and detailed story points in your coverage, including social media."
