Carrie Ann Inaba and Val Chmerkovskiy have buried the hatchet ... after the pro dancer made an off-color joke about Will Smith's infamous Oscars incident that made Carrie Ann feel threatened and led to his brief suspension.

Carrie Ann told Val after Tuesday's "Dancing With the Stars" episode, in a video obtained by PEOPLE, "So, everyone's staring. We are coworkers, and we are completely cordial. We are good, OK?"

After the reconciliation -- which saw the co-stars hugging it out -- Val told the publication ... "It felt [like] cathartic relief, you know? I think it was just really important for me to make sure that she feels safe and knows that, firsthand from me, I want nothing but love for her."

Sources close to the show tell TMZ ... Val approached Carrie Ann and told her he wanted to put this behind them and make sure they both felt OK after a tumultuous few weeks. We're told Carrie Ann was very gracious and their conversation was uplifting for everyone on set.

Joey DeSena is a repeat winner on "Jeopardy!" -- and he's now a repeat sex crimes offender, according to new court documents.

New legal docs, obtained by TMZ, show DeSena was arrested last Friday in North Carolina and slapped with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Authorities also issued an arrest warrant charging DeSena with possessing sexually explicit photos and videos of children.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is in hot water with a civil rights group after he made what some believe were bigoted remarks about Arab Muslims during a campaign event in Michigan.

President Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services made the controversial comments Monday while stumping for Republican Mike Rogers in Grand Rapids, MI, saying that Arab Muslims have never won any major international awards and fail to produce science and literature, which is totally false.

Kennedy said, “There's 500 million Arabs in the world, and yet they don't produce science, they don't win the Nobel Prize, they don't win the Fields prize, they don't win the Wolf Prize, they don't produce literature."

Hasan Piker alleges Scott Jennings defamed him by falsely claiming he supports lynchings ... and now he's suing and going after Scott for a huge chunk of change.

Piker -- the controversial left-wing Twitch streamer -- just filed a defamation lawsuit against Jennings, seeking $72.5 million in damages.

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Piker claims that Jennings -- a conservative commentator and CNN contributor -- aired a mashup of Piker's clips on Jennings' August 11 podcast episode.

Piker says one of the clips allegedly quoted Piker saying we should go "back to a better time when lynchings were happening." The suit also says Jennings highlighted to Black voters that Piker plans on "returning our country to lynchings."

A judge is putting the public on notice ... warning people to stop trying to identify the mystery celebrity fighting to keep serious sexual misconduct allegations under wraps ... or they could wind up behind bars themselves.

Judge Matthew Nicklin issued the warning during a hearing in London's High Court Tuesday ... after online sleuths began tossing around names in an attempt to unmask the famous man, who's only been identified in court as "PPT."
