Simon Cowell camera shy? No way!

TMZ has learned that last week FOX flew a group of publicists, photographers and crew to London to shoot publicity shots of the surly "Idol" judge.

A source tells us that shoot never happened, because Simon got sick. Six days and $50,000 in rental fees, salaries and expenses later, the group returned home empty-handed and some, we're told, were "pissed off." But who's to blame?

A rep for Cowell says sorry someone is upset, but hold the phone -- Simon really WAS sick! "Apparently, 'tis the season for baseless rumors and speculation, so let's offer the gift of truth to clear up anyone's misconceptions. Under doctor's orders, Simon had to cancel most of his schedule this week (including media appearances for 'The X Factor' and an extra photo shoot for 'American Idol') to properly recuperate from a chest infection. Thankfully he's doing well and he sends his best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday season." So there!

While shopping at Robertson Blvd.'s trendy Paige Premium Denim on Friday, the recently engaged 23-year-old got swarmed by paps. Does Taylor Hicks gets this treatment too?!

Here's one of the many titillating screen shots TMZ got from the hot tape, which show the wayward warbler in various sexual poses, in what looks like a cheap hotel room. (Note the ciggy in the bathtub.) Sources tell TMZ that the video, shot sometime this year, will be released before the end of the year, and just in time for the kickoff of "Idol's" seventh season.

The classy Miss Sierra was arrested earlier this week for disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence. In a new audio tape of a jailhouse phone call, Sierra can be heard calling those same cops "crackers."

Sierra called her Aunt Sheila on the Monday after her Saturday night arrest for disorderly intoxication, violation of probation and obstruction of justice -- but that's apparently all news to Jess. She told her aunt, "I don't even know what they arrested me for, " adding "I din't fight nobody but the police, little stupid f***ing crackers!"

Here's a hint. Pure class that one.

As for her alleged drug use, you'll never guess what she told a local Florida news station just a matter of weeks ago!

Jessica Sierra was to the point when she was busted last week. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Sierra told the arresting officer, "I'll suck your d*** if you don't take me to jail." Tempting offer!

Sierra also went on to use the N word several times, saying, "F*** you N*****!" According to the report, her friend tried calming Jessica down as she tried shoving a cop, and then Jessica and her pal ended up fighting in the street.

The broken "Idol" hurled a flurry of racial slurs and profanity during her arrest. She's been charged with disorderly intoxication, violation of probation -- and obstruction of justice.

The judge denied bond, which means Sierra will stay in the pokey after being busted on two felonies, including "cocaine possession" and "battery," and two misdemeanors, including "disorderly intoxication" and "obstructing justice" with a cop.

She faces more than 11 years in prison.

And it gets worse, Sierra was just placed on probation just two weeks ago. And now the Judge in that case could throw the book at her.

Just two weeks after being sentenced to a year of probation, "American Idol" season four finalist Jessica Sierra was arrested again. Oh, how the wannabeens have fallen.

Officers were called to the Full Moon Saloon in Florida around 2:00 AM today, where she allegedly caused a disturbance. When the popo asked her to leave, she refused and was popped.

According to the charge report, Sierra was charged with two misdemeanors (disorderly intoxication and obstructing or opposing an officer) and two felonies (possession of cocaine and felony battery). She is currently in the Orient Road Jail with no bond.

Sierra, who finished tenth on "Idol" back in 2005, was given probation just two weeks ago for an April incident in which she threw a glass at someone's head. The judge in that case will almost certainly throw the book at her for violating probation.

Sierra spent several months earlier this year in rehab and will be appearing in the new VH1 show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." We're thinkin' it didn't work so great.

TMZ was with the "American Idol" runner-up as he went to Dr. TATTOFF to get some ink on his back faded out -- to make room for a new, larger tattoo. Blake joked about what tats he'd get on his junk -- and came up with some interesting ideas.

An on-set spy tells TMZ the unidentified woman was rushed to a nearby Pasadena hospital and was treated for minor knee injuries. So far, no comment from the show on the clumsy contestant's condition -- or if she'll be back for the Final 12.

Usually, the most frightening things happen on the "Idol" stage.

Dust off those pony-hawks and put on your earplugs, because "American Idol" wannabeen Sanjaya Malakar ('memba him?!) is about to start "singing" again!

The 18-year-old wavy, chestnut brown-maned crooner is hitting the stage for a solo performance in the holiday production of Langston Hughes' "Black Nativity" in Seattle on Sunday. Bah humbug!

While it may not be a Clarkson Grammy or an Underwood hit album, at least Sanjy has avoided the fate of many fallen "Idols" of yore -- and hasn't had to sing at the opening of a housing development , an outlet mall or regional balloon festival -- yet!

As Tyra Banks can attest, clearly, these are two of the luckiest sweater puppies in any town!

The vacant look in the eyes, sculpted makeup and slightly open orifice say, "I'm not quite listening but ready for anything." She's every straight man's dream!
