Julianne Hough is excitedly announcing she's freshly engaged to Washington Capitals star Brooks Laich -- but, oddly, she's not giving up the goods!

The "Dancing With the Stars" judge has been dating Laich -- a center with the Caps -- since 2013. She announced their engagement on Instagram by posting a pic that does NOT show Brooks' face or the ring ... the only 2 things every woman wants to see.

She said, "We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiancé #love"

That's sweet and all, but here's what you really want to see -- Brooks' face. Judge away, ladies.

Mark Ballas is gunning to become the Arthur Murray of the 21st century.

We've learned Ballas plans to open a slew of dance studios across the country, called the Mark Ballas Dance and Performing Arts Center. The first is set to open next week in Charlotte, N.C.

We're told Ballas and his business partner expect to have 50 centers up and running by the end of next year.

Our sources say Mark will be an active owner, visiting every location and working on marketing and curriculum. His dad Corky (the OG dancer in the fam) will certify the dance instructors at the various studios.

Donald Trump's loss is Magic Johnson's gain ... according to NBA star Anthony Davis who's throwing his sizeable support behind Magic for the now available "Celebrity Apprentice" host position.

Women don't have a monopoly on people making them feel like sexual objects ... so says "DWTS" dancer Val Chmerkovskiy.

Val's partner, Rumer Willis, was licking her chops at the prospect Val and Artem Chigvintsev will be shirtless on the show next week, and Val explained there's more to him and Arlem than just pecs and a handsome face.

Erin Andrews may have sent a passive aggressive message to her NHL star boyfriend Monday night -- seemingly chiding him for his Vegas drug arrest ... and it all went down on "Dancing with the Stars."

Erin was interviewing Willow Shields after her wild performance -- and asked her if she ever busted out similar moves on Spring Break.

When Willow gave her super boring answer -- "I just sit at home and watch movies all week" -- Andrews gave a very interesting response:

Rumer's already taken the MVA (most valuable asset) on this season of 'DWTS' -- and a lot of people who give a crap about that show ... think she's a lock to win the mirror ball thingy in the finale.

He couldn't hack it on the field ... and now, Michael Sam's been axed from the ballroom as well.

The first openly gay man to be drafted into the NFL found himself on the wrong end of the chopping block on "Dancing with the Stars" Monday night ... after his final rumba didn't cut it with the judges.

Sam became the 3rd contestant eliminated from the show ... following Charlotte McKinney and Redfoo.

FYI -- Suzanne Somers, "Bachelor" Chris Soules and Rumer Willis still remain.

Now, Sam is faced with a decision -- try to battle his way back into the NFL ... or give up and focus on a career in pop culture.

"Dancing With The Stars" contestant Noah Galloway was hit by friendly fire while rehearsing with partner Sharna Burgess ... and it's brutal and bloody.

When you consider what the former U.S. Army soldier's been through -- he lost both an arm and leg in the Iraq War -- it's gonna take a lot more than a busted tooth to rattle this vet.

It's hard to watch ... while practicing their routine Sharna kicks him in the face and you hear a tooth hit the floor like it's tap dancing.

Yet Noah -- a total pro -- only has three little words to say about it ... "No Big Deal."

"Dancing With the Stars" pro Mark Ballas' latest move is called packing -- he's leaving his primo penthouse overlooking L.A.'s Miracle Mile ... and hoping to make a bundle.

Our real estate sources tell us he's selling his 3-bed, 3-bath, 1410 sq. ft. loft for $800k ... and looking for a place with a way bigger dance floor. Dude needs more space to jitterbug.

Ballas snagged the place 5 years ago for $679k ... so he won't be walking away empty-handed, if his realtor Andrew Gulyas can get his asking price.

As for where Mark's heading -- we're told he's looking all over L.A., but definitely wants a house instead of a condo.

Hockey Hall of Famer Jeremy Roenick says he desperately wanted to be on "Dancing with the Stars" -- but was forced to turn down the gig because of a major political conflict.

Unclear when Roenick was approached by the ABC show -- but the ex-Philadelphia Flyers superstar says he woulda DOMINATED in the ball room ... telling TMZ Sports, "I woulda been awesome."

Roenick clearly LOVES to get down -- and famously busted out his moves on the ice during his playing days.

Robert and his "Dancing with the Stars" partner Kym Johnson were leaving Greenblatt's Deli in Hollywood Friday night, where they were full-on kissing.

A coy Robert explains, they're not dating ... they're just friends who dance.

They've actually been very open about their relationship ... people on DWTS all know the deal.

"Shark Tank" star Robert Herjavec has a new asset in his portfolio -- his "Dancing With the Stars" partner Kym Johnson ... and she gets an awesome gift from him if they win.

Herjavec and Johnson met mid-February right before the "DWTS" cast was announced ... and we're told they started dating immediately.

They spent Saturday night at a party in the Hollywood Hills and Monday at Hyde lounge with the "DWTS" cast. Our spies tell us they're very open about the relationship ... lots of making out.

Herjavec has also promised Johnson if they win "DWTS" she'll get one of his Ferraris.

We broke the story earlier this month Herjavec and his wife of nearly 25 years had separated and were heading for divorce.
