Kelsey Grammer didn't need to say a word last night when we asked him about the whole "baby in the car seat" mess ... he simply held up his 4-month-old daughter ... who just happened to be in a car seat.

You'll remember ... Kelsey and wife Kayte caused quite a commotion when they pulled a Britney ... which in this case means they drove off with their baby NOT secured in a car seat.

The couple claimed the video didn't tell the whole story and the car carrying Kayte and the baby swung back to pick up Kelsey ... who had a car seat waiting.

But last night, Kelsey made sure the paparazzi knew Faith was riding in a car seat ... which he showed off right in front of Boa Steakhouse so everyone could see ... including a certain ex-wife.

Kelsey Grammer's 4-month-old baby doesn't just party at the Playboy mansion ... she also dangerously rides in vehicles WITHOUT A CAR SEAT ... and it was all caught on tape.

Kelsey and his wife Kayte arrived at LAX yesterday with their adorable (and fragile) baby daughter Faith ... when they were met by a waiting chauffeured SUV.

But as Kayte was about to enter the car with the kid, she realized there was no car seat in the SUV ... but she got in the car with the baby anyway.

Kayte seatbelted herself in the car, and with the baby cradled against her chest, the car took off ... a clear violation of the California car seat law.

We're assuming the baby made it home unfazed ... but according to various safety organizations, it's a STUPID risk to transport your newborn without a proper child safety seat ... considering car seats can significantly reduce the risk of injury in an accident.

Of course, Britney Spears took all sorts of heat when she drove around with her baby in her LAP several years ago.

Kelsey's rep, Stan Rosenfield, insists there was a car seat inside the vehicle ... though there's no evidence of that in this video.

Ex-NFL star Warren Sapp is desperate to lower his child support payments ... even though he struck a deal with one of his baby mamas to NEVER change the amount -- of course, that was before he went broke.

Sapp filed legal docs in Florida, requesting his child support to Angela Sanders be decreased from $2,500 per month ... because he's fallen on hard financial times since retiring from the NFL, a.k.a. he went bankrupt.

Problem is, back in 2001 -- when Sapp was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers cash-making superstar -- he and Sanders added a clause to their child support agreement that said ... neither party could "seek modification" based on changes in income.

Presumably, Sapp was trying to protect his millions.

Sanders tells TMZ she's "frustrated" by Sapp's request ... because she was fine sticking to the $2,500 a month while his pockets were getting fatter -- so it's unfair for him to lower it now.

According to the docs, Sapp is also trying to modify child-support payments for his 4 other baby mamas.

A judge has yet to rule.

Unemployed NFL star Chad Johnson is a deadbeat dad who belongs in jail if he continues his deadbeat ways -- this according to one of Chad's baby mamas.

Andrea Pearson -- who had a son with Chad back in 2010 -- just filed legal docs in Miami, claiming Chad has failed to pay his child support bill of $5,250 on October 15th ... and has consistently been late paying his previous bills.

Andrea claims she doesn't have the means to support the child as a result -- and wants the court to force Chad to pay up ASAP.

If he still fails to pay, Andrea wants the court to throw Chad in jail until he makes good on his child support agreement.

Chad's lawyer had no comment -- but sources close to Chad tell TMZ, he has always provided for his kid, including buying the mother a home.

Wayne Gretzky tells TMZ ... the NHL has GOT to figure out a way to end the lockout and bring hockey back ASAP.

He also made it clear that we can't date his daughter.

Wayne was out in L.A. yesterday ... and told us he doesn't have any solutions to get pro hockey up and running again ... but says, "Hopefully they get it worked out though ... we need hockey back."

"It's disappointing for everybody," Wayne added.

And while he was there, our photog asked for permission to date Wayne's super hot daughter Paulina. Permission was not granted.

Kelsey Grammer tells TMZ ... the reason he took his 3-month-old daughter to a raging Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion Saturday night is because he just couldn't find a good babysitter.

Kelsey just sent us a statement ... explaining, "Kayte is breast-feeding and we do not have a nanny or a trusted baby-sitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us."

We posted a photo of baby Faith sleeping in the VIP area at the party -- we're told the Grammers partied past midnight.

But Kelsey insists he and Kayte took proper precautions ... saying, "The baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time and we left shortly after midnight."

He adds, "We love our child. Kayte is my wife and lady love (who is 31 and goes by the name Kayte Grammer, by the way, not Walsh)."

You're never too young to party in Hollywood ... so says Kelsey Grammer, who took his 3-month-old baby to the Playboy Mansion for a Halloween bash and partied 'til the wee hours of the morning.

A party-goer tells us ... Kelsey was whooping it up at a table next to Paris Hilton just after midnight. Baby Faith was tucked into her bassinet as the music blared.

A Playboy Playmate with curious maternal instincts tweeted, "Why the fk does Kelsey Grammer have a newborn baby at the Mansion party!?!?!?"

We called Kelsey's rep, so far no comment.

Lindsay Lohan is predictably pissed at her dad who tried to stage an intervention Friday, and she says she does NOT need rehab because she does NOT have a drug or alcohol problem ... TMZ has learned.

We broke the story ... Michael Lohan showed up at Lindsay's Bev Hills house with a posse that was planning to take her to a facility 100 miles away, but Lindsay wouldn't open the front door and called cops.

Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ ... she is steadfast -- she has not relapsed and is not drinking or doing drugs.

Lindsay believes Michael is doing this because she has cut him off completely after he recorded their conversation in the middle of LiLo's blowout argument with Dina, and the recording ended up on TMZ. She says Michael is feigning concern as a ploy to get back in her good graces.

Lindsay Lohan was telling the truth when she said her mom was on the verge of losing her house ...and Dina Lohan is not out of the woods yet ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ ... JPMorgan Chase Bank filed documents in 2010 to foreclose on Dina's Long Island home because she had fallen behind on payments.

Now here's where it gets interesting ...The bank and Dina cut some sort of deal in which mama Lohan agreed to a new payment agreement that would prevent her home from going on the auction block.

Sources close to Lindsay tell us ... Dina didn't ante up on her own -- she got money from Lindsay to make the payments.

We're told Lindsay made payments that helped Dina dig out of the hole, but recently she fell behind again and Lindsay had to give her MORE bailout money -- $40,000. And that's the 40 grand that Lindsay and her mom were arguing over when things erupted in the limo early Wednesday.

One final thing. We're told Dina withdrew lots of other money from the Bank of Lindsay, including money to help pay for her kid brother's tuition.

What's a night of cocaine allegations, violence and insults between family? 'Cause hours after their blowout fight, Lindsay Lohan and her mother Dina were already hugging it out.

Lindsay wrapped her arms around her mom as she left Dina's home on Long Island this morning ... where police responded after the two went nuclear on each other late last night.

As we previously reported, Lindsay had called her father Michael while she and Dina were screaming at each other in a limo on the way home from a nightclub ... and told him that she thought her mother was on cocaine.

During the argument, Dina told Lindsay ... "You're dead to me."

1:00 PM PT -- TMZ just posted explosive audio of Lindsay's phone conversation with her father during the fight, in which Lindsay says, "Dad, she's on cocaine."

7:08 AM PDT Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ ... Dina was "wasted" at the nightclub. We're told the fight started when Lindsay wanted to take her limo to her NYC hotel, but Dina wanted to take it to her home in Long Island, to avoid paying for a taxi. Somehow Dina prevailed, over the intense protests of her daughter. We're told Dina scratched Lindsay's leg in the process.

6:26 AM PDT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... cops took a Domestic Incident Report but no arrests were made.

6:11AM PDT -- We're told the 911 call was a domestic violence call. Sources say in one of the 911 calls to cops ... the caller said Lindsay was being held against her will by Dina and the driver.

Lindsay Lohan and mama Dina were in a blowout, violent fight early this morning, that ended in a 911 call with cops rushing to the scene ... TMZ has learned.

It started last night when the duo went to a nightclub in New York City. Our photog says they left the club at around 4 AM and headed back to Dina's home on Long Island.

Lindsay and Dina started arguing in the car and it escalated when they got home. We're told it became physical with Lindsay sustaining a cut on her leg. We're also told there was property damage -- including a broken bracelet of Lindsay's -- that occurred during the scuffle.

Cops are still on scene.

After several failed attempts to put a roof over her head -- Octomom is FINALLY moving her brood into a new house ... and TMZ has the pics to prove it.

TMZ obtained photos of Octo taken Sunday -- packing up all her crap and hauling her 14 kids to a new 5,000-square-foot crib in Palmdale, CA ... since the one she's living in was foreclosed on.

From the pics it's clear Octo hasn't cleaned house for awhile ... you can see a giant dumpster full of old toys, chairs, mattresses and random stuff she no longer wants.

TMZ broke the story ... Octo was supposed to move into a DIFFERENT house in Palmdale, and pulled out at the last minute, because she thought the owner was shady. Prior to that, she had been REJECTED by a slew of landlords.

But millionth time's a charm and sources tell us ... Octo made a sweet deal with this owner -- snagging the property for a cool $2500 / month and her first payment isn't due 'til April.

Levi Johnston's newborn daughter is already an expert napper -- at least judging by the hospital photos snapped after the girl was born yesterday ... and TMZ has the pics.

Levi and his girlfriend Sunny Oglesby looked like a big, happy, unmarried family at Matsu Regional Hospital in Wasilla, Alaska -- smiling and posing with their new baby Breeze Beretta moments after the parturition.

As we first reported, Breeze was born yesterday morning at 6 pounds 15 ounces.

She's Levi's second child -- after his 3-year-old son Tripp, whom he fathered with Bristol Palin.

Son of Snooki was officially unleashed on Planet Earth today ... and TMZ has the very first pics of lil' Lorenzo LaValle and his mommy being carted out of the a New Jersey hospital.

You can't see much of Lorenzo's face ... only the top of his head ... which appears prime for gobs of gel and grease.

Mama Snooks was clutching her little boy with both arms ... holding him tighter than a cup of Ron-Ron Juice at Karma nightclub.

Snooki gave birth on Sunday ... but it appears she's already back to normal ... rocking a pair of platform wedges as she was wheeled back into reality ... TV ... as an MTV camera crew documented the entire thing.

Just one day after giving birth, supermom Uma Thurman was already out and about in public holding her newborn daughter at a cafe in upstate New York.

With her one-day-old bundle of joy safely in her arms, the 42-year-old was spotted at Press and Blend in Woodstock, New York. We're told Uma is a regular at the shop and ordered cold pressed juices. A new mom needs her nourishment!

On Sunday, Uma gave birth to her first child -- whose name has yet to be announced -- with boyfriend Arpad Busson. She has two children with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, while Arpad has two children from his previous relationship with supermodel Elle Macpherson.

Two women who recently faced off on "Judge Judy" are still battling in real life ... all over a dog ... with allegations of violent threats and pet-napping ... TMZ has learned.

The dogfight involves Kari Whitman -- who runs the Ace of Hearts pet adoption agency in L.A. The other woman is Teresa Gardenhire ... a former doggy foster parent.

The two squared off on an episode of "Judy" that was taped May 23 -- after Gardenhire claimed Whitman owed her money for taking care of an Ace of Hearts dog while the org. searched for a permanent owner.

Judy ruled for Ace of Hearts ... but after the show, Whitman claims Gardenhire began a campaign of harassment ... and even made violent threats.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, Whitman claims Gardenhire warned her, "Watch your back bitch" and threatened to steal Whitman's dogs in retaliation.

Whitman was so frightened, she filed a request for a restraining order -- claiming "[I am] afraid the threats will become real actions."

Gardenhire tells TMZ she's the real victim -- claiming she thought she had adopted the dog she had been fostering ... and claims Ace of Hearts stole it. Gardenhire even filed a police report.
