Unclear if the dresses are identical or if the sisters are so similar they can trade schmatas.

The Kardashians share more than just their genes.

Designer Karen Mathews filed papers recently in L.A. Small Claims Court -- obtained by TMZ -- claiming Stewart ordered $7,500 worth of custom threads for several events in 2007, including his wedding to model Penny Lancaster ... but never fully covered the damage.

Karen's rep tells TMZ, “The clothes were never payed for in full and [Rod] kept the rest of the clothes without ever returning what hadn’t been payed for" -- adding, Karen hasn't had a problem like this in 30 years ... which "speaks for itself.”

But Stewart's rep claims the singer is a victim of unintelligent design -- telling TMZ, "[Stewart's wedding suit] wasn't produced on time and was ill-fitting and totally unusable. He had to buy a proper suit at the last minute."

Courtney showed off her refurbished doll parts at a premiere in NYC last night.

The 46-year-old may have lost a daughter, but she's gained some new things too.

It all went down in the notoriously expensive Hermes store -- where we're told Kim and her mother Kris purchased six of the label's exclusive "Birkin" bags ... valued at around $10,000 apiece.

But here's the kicker -- sources close to the reality star tell TMZ, Kim also bought herself an extremely rare crocodile-skin bag from the upscale French boutique ... worth around $30,000.

Overall, the Kardashians easily surpassed the $100k mark.

We were pretty shocked ... but a TSA spokesperson tells TMZ handcuffs are not on the "Prohibited Items List."

As for what you're not allowed to carry on ... the list includes, billy clubs, brass knuckles, kubatons, nightsticks, nunchakus, dynamite, flares, cattle prods, drills and gas torches.

A rep for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals tells us that Gaga "has a hard time being 'over the top,' and wearing a dress made from cuts of dead cows is offensive enough to bring comment."

But the rep notes that if the dress was made from actual meat -- and not the fake stuff -- it wouldn't take long to go sour ... saying, "After time spent under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh that it is and likely be crawling in maggots."

Only one was forgiven by Taylor Swift.

TMZ has obtained the video made by Lina Morgana's mother made to show the similarities between the two singers. The video is set to a song Lina recorded before she committed suicide in 2008.

Lina and Gaga were friends before Gaga made it big, according to Lina's mom, Yana -- who claims the two worked together back in 2007.

Yana tells TMZ she just wants the recognition she feels her daughter deserves. She's also trying to secure the rights to several songs Gaga and Lina did together before her death.
