Nyier Daniels -- an offensive lineman with the University of Georgia football team -- has been arrested and booked on a slew of charges.

The redshirt freshman was arrested Sunday after he allegedly tried to flee from police in Commerce, GA -- a city about 20 miles from Athens where his university is located.

Authorities arrested him on three felony counts ... two counts of second-degree cruelty to children and one count of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.

UAB Football Player Arrested For Stabbing Teammates Held For Attempted Murder

2:30 PM PT -- UAB football player Daniel Mincey is in custody at the local county jail, though law enforcement hasn't identified the 6'3, 315 lb. player as the suspect in the stabbing.

Mincey, 20, is a redshirt freshman offensive lineman from Florida ... and is being held for attempted murder.

A University of Alabama at Birmingham football player is under arrest after allegedly stabbing two of his teammates at the team's athletic facility Saturday morning, just hours before kickoff.

Neither the players, who are in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, nor the alleged aggressor has been identified.

"We’re grateful to report that two players injured in an incident this morning at the Football Operations Building are in stable condition. Our thoughts are with them and their families as they recover. The suspect – another player – remains in custody, and an investigation is taking place," a UAB spokesperson said.

The daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt appeared on "The Will Cain Show" Tuesday and gave her stamp of approval to the upcoming "alternate" halftime show, which is being organized by Turning Point USA.

The New York City Police Department has released images of the suspect wanted in the shooting of New York Jets defensive back Kris Boyd Sunday morning ... which left him fighting for his life in a hospital.

Cops are asking the public for help in tracking down the man who fled the scene after he allegedly shot Boyd in the gut while he was leaving a restaurant in the heart of Manhattan.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multi-colored sneakers and a black book bag.

According to police, the shooting happened around 2 AM on West 38th Street, only blocks from Times Square.

NFL Hall of Fame Safety Kenny Easley Dead at 66

Kenny Easley -- a longtime safety with the Seattle Seahawks -- has died, the team confirmed Saturday morning.

The team said Kenny lived up to the values of his team through "his leadership, intensity, and fearlessness" in a post uploaded to X. The Seahawks expressed condolences to his wife and three children in the post. His cause of death is not yet public knowledge.

Easley was drafted by the Seahawks with the fourth overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft after playing college ball at UCLA
