Demi -- sporting dark nail polish, dark lipstick, dark clothing ... and a leopard-print jacket -- hit a place in Illinois called Hollywood Blvd -- a movie theater with "full to-your-seat food and beverage service."

As we previously reported, Demi's treatment center granted the singer an Xmas Day pass to hang out with her kinfolk outside the facility -- but she was required to return to the center a few hours later.

Back in 2008, the Disney starlet vowed to abstain from sex until marriage and donned a promise ring to prove it. But last weekend Selena was spotted going into Justin's tour bus without the chastity symbol around her pure little finger.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Prinze was driving a car registered to Sarah Michelle Gellar in L.A. back in 2009 ... when he "suddenly and without warning" rear-ended a car that was stopped at a red light.

The other driver claims he suffered serious neck injuries in the crash -- and hasn't been able to work since. We're told the man has been advised to undergo major surgery to get his life back together.

Sources close to the alleged victim tell us the man didn't really want to sue -- but he was getting low-balled by his insurance company ... and suing FPJ is his only hope to get the cash he needs.

We're told the guy is demanding something in the 6-figure range.

Buddy tells TMZ ... his family won't be dining on cake during their Xmas dinner tonight because, "All of the other desserts are so good!"

So what overtakes the cake -- Buddy explains, "For dessert we usually do tiramisu, cannolis, pumpkin pie, chocolate covered strawberries and of course our famous Carlo's Bakery cookies."

Sources close to Demi tell us the singer will be meeting with her family at some point tomorrow to have dinner "outside the facility". We're told she will return to the treatment center that night to continue with her program.

Under the settlement, Alex Welch will get money, though the amount is confidential.

Welch's attorney, Donald Karpel, tells TMZ, "The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely."

As we previously reported, Lovato decked Welch with such force that the backup dancer had visible bruising on her left eye and cheek.

Lovato went to a treatment center shortly after the incident and claimed she felt "awful" about her behavior.

After declaring his mayoral intentions on "Good Day L.A." -- and then reconfirming his intentions during an interview with the Associated Press -- Lopez has now FLIP-FLOPPED ... insisting the whole thing was a big joke.

Lopez made the big announcement on FOX's "Good Day L.A." this morning -- saying, "If Arnold Schwarzenegger can be governor ... why can't George Lopez be the mayor of Los Angeles?"

Claudia Vazquez just filed the $10 million lawsuit against Jennifer, claiming Lopez tried to torpedo a movie about Ojani Noa's life.

Two thoughts come to mind ... How would Lopez do that? And who wants to see that movie anyway.

Shane Ickenroth -- one of the three homeless men who Cruz paid to kill his wife -- tells TMZ he called the prosecutor, Simone Shay, last August to tell her bad news about the two other homeless witnesses -- Big Dave had died of cancer, and Little Dave (aka Dave Carrington) had been arrested in California and extradited to Colorado for felony sexual assault with physical force.

Ickenroth says Shay told him, "Don't say anything about it. It could still mess up the case while it was going on."

Cruz cut a deal with the prosecutor and pled no contest to solicitation of murder and was sentenced Monday to 9 years in prison.

TMZ contacted Cruz' lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, who told us the prosecutor never informed her about Big or Little Dave.

Ickenroth says one of the detectives in the case also told him to keep quiet about the two Daves.

It all went down Sunday afternoon -- we're told a passerby recognized Tito ... and was able to come up with a portable fuel tank to help the famous fighter bring gas back to his car half-a-mile away.

Cruz tried to pay three homeless men back in May to kill his wife. The men went to the police instead and Cruz was arrested.

As part of the plea agreement, an attempted murder charge was dropped.

As we first reported ... Cruz's wife, Jennifer Campbell, was suicidal over not being able to have a baby. But suicide is a mortal sin in Campbell's religion, so authorities believe Cruz was attempting to execute a murder/suicide out of mercy.

The two international pop stars sat down for breakfast yesterday in Philadelphia .... hours before they were scheduled to perform at the Q102 Jingle Ball.

According to the good folks at IHOP ... Biebs, 16, and Gomez, 18, HELD HANDS inside the restaurant ... and looked "cuddly" while sitting on the same side of a booth.
