We now know how that Jaclyn Smith gunshot wound story got started yesterday -- Jaclyn wasn't shot in Honduras, but her stunt double was.

Sandra Franklin, a woman who doubled for Smith on "Charlie's Angels," is reportedly in stable condition after getting shot in the abdomen in her home on Roatan Island, off the Honduran coast.

The cause of the shooting is unclear.

Jaclyn Smith is not dead -- and to prove it, she's writing on her Twitter page.

There are several reports popping up all over the place claiming the "Charlie's Angel" was shot in her home in Honduras -- but she's not even in Honduras ... so, by process of elimination ... we have concluded she could not have been shot there.

Plus, her publicist Jay Schwartz just told us this, "She is alive and well in Los Angeles ... I spoke to her this morning."

No, it's not a storyline on "Guiding Light" (RIP) -- but rather the latest chapter in the John Edwards mistress scandal.

The guy who once claimed he was the father of the child born to Edwards' mistress, Rielle Hunter, is now claiming Edwards is the real daddy (duh!) and that Edwards once promised Hunter he would marry her after his wife died (she's sick with cancer) -- this according to a book proposal obtained by the NY Times.

Andrew Young, Edwards' former aide, claims Edwards told Hunter it would be a rooftop wedding and the Dave Matthews Band would make an appearance, the Times says.

As if there wasn't enough to figure out in the wake of Michael Jackson's death, a San Fran man is throwing his name into the circus -- claiming to be Michael Jackson's 24-year-old son!

According to a creditor's claim filed yesterday in L.A., a guy named Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson is requesting a DNA test to prove he is the biological son of the late King of Pop.

A birth certificate was submitted with the claim -- one which lists a "Michael Joseph Jackson" of Indiana as the father and Zerline LaVette Dixon as the mother.

According to the claim, MJ's family pressured Prince Michael Malachi's family to keep quiet.

Coincidentally, Prince Michael is the name of MJ's two "official" sons.

According to the LiveLeak post: "I checked the license plate number and it looks like the King of Pop is jumping out of the same van, his dead body has been in. I got the original video tape from a trustworthy source. I know him for years. And I am sure it´s real and Michael is alive."
