Bruce Johnston is riding off into the California sunset ... at least for now.

The Beach Boys legend announced Wednesday he's stepping away from touring after six decades with the iconic band. The 83-year-old revealed in a statement to Rolling Stone he’s hanging up his touring hat to focus on what he calls part three of his long music career.

"It's time for Part Three of my lengthy musical career!" Johnston said. "I can write songs forever, and wait until you hear what's coming!!! As my major talent beyond singing is songwriting, now is the time to get serious again."

Kelly Osbourne's lost a lot of weight recently, and while it has some folks around her concerned ... it sounds like it's a direct linked to her famous father's death.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Kelly's circle believes much of her concerning weight loss is tied to grief over her late father, Ozzy Osbourne.

Willie's Facebook page shared a statement early Saturday morning to confirm the news, saying, "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and renowned musician, Willie Colon."

The statement reveals he passed away peacefully Saturday morning, surrounded by his loving family ... adding "While we grieve his absence, we also rejoice in the timeless gift of his music and the cherished memories he created that will live on forever."

The post ends with ... "Our family is deeply grateful for your prayers and support during this time of mourning. We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate our grief."
