Joe Jackson is doing well after a series of medical emergencies ... so well he's cracking jokes in his hospital bed.

A Jackson family rep tells TMZ ... Joe's speech is not impaired and his vision is restored. As we reported, a artery burst behind his eye, causing temporary blindness and possibly triggering a stroke.

Joe says he's aware how close to death he was and is grateful to be alive.

As TMZ first reported, in addition to the stroke ... Jackson suffered three heart attacks while he was hospitalized and his heart actually stopped for 10 seconds. He had a pacemaker implanted.

The 87-year-old was admitted to a Sao Paulo hospital Sunday after signs of a stroke. Joe lost his vision, and a publicist says it was the result of an artery bursting behind his eye, which triggered the stroke.

Family sources tell TMZ, once in the hospital he suffered 3 heart attacks.

Joe's publicist tells TMZ, in the hospital Joe's heart stopped beating for 10 seconds but he was revived. Joe just had a pacemaker inserted and doctors are now waiting to see if it stabilizes him.

We're told Joe's family wants him flown back to the U.S. for further treatment, but for now it's too dicey.

Joe was in Brazil to celebrate his birthday.

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter Bobbi Kristina has died at the age of 22.

She passed away outside Atlanta in the hospice care facility where she's been since June 24 ... when her family decided to take her off all meds. As we first reported, a specialist had told them there was no chance of recovery.

The family says Bobbi Kristina was surrounded by family and, "She is finally at peace in the arms of God."

Bobbi Kristina was found submerged in her bathtub on January 31, and police believe she was underwater for anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes. Paramedics were able to resuscitate her, but she was in a medically induced coma and placed on life support.

Ultimately, Pat Houston and Bobby -- co-guardians for Bobbi Kristina -- had to make the decision to withdraw medications. It was a rare moment of agreement for the Browns and Houstons ... who had battled about BK's condition throughout her hospitalization.

TMZ broke the story ... the D.A. has been gearing up for a murder case, and her boyfriend Nick Gordon would be their first person of interest. Police said there were bruises on Bobbi Kristina's face and body after Gordon and a friend, Max Lomas, found her in the tub.

Of course, Whitney died from a drug overdose in 2012 while sitting in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Joe Jackson has reportedly suffered a stroke that left him at the very least temporarily blind.

Jackson family sources confirm to TMZ, Joe was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo after reportedly waking up Sunday feeling dizzy, with no vision.

Joe, who has diabetes, was in the city for his 87th birthday party that was being thrown for him.

A massive fire erupted Saturday at The Cosmopolitan hotel on the Vegas Strip.

The entire pool area was consumed by flames sending guests scurrying for safety. At least one person has been reported injured.

Willie Nelson is scheduled to perform tomorrow night ... no word on whether the fire will have an impact on the show.

Nick Cannon is NOT as Ncredible as he thought -- he landed in the hospital on Wednesday after "grinding" on job after job after job.

Cannon posted a pic of himself in a hospital bed, hooked up to a bunch of monitors. He wasn't specific about what's ailing him ... but hinted it was somehow related to exhaustion.

The "America's Got Talent" host said, "I really think I'm a superhero" ... and compared himself to Batman.

Nick's last hospital scare … was in 2012 for kidney failure.

9 AM PT -- Suge's request to move to a new facility was denied during a hearing in L.A. Ditto for his attempt to reduce bail.

Suge Knight's life in prison is rough ... not only does he have to deal with a toilet that flushes incessantly ... he might -- MIGHT -- have a brain tumor.

Knight's new attorney, Tom Mesereau of Michael Jackson fame, filed new docs to get Knight into better digs at the jail, for both medical and sanity reasons.

Suge's lawyer claims Suge is going crazy because the toilet in his cell flushes every 20 minutes -- on its own -- all day and all night.

To make matters even worse, the jail bed isn't long enough to hold his 6'2" frame.

So Suge wants a new cell that doesn't drive him crazy and allows him to get a good night's sleep.

Even more serious -- Mesereau says Suge suffers from numbness on one entire side of his body and doctors have told him he might have a brain tumor. As such, he wants a place that has full access to a competent medical facility.

He's currently locked up on $10 million bail.

It now appears the mysterious tent that was erected outside the hospice caring for Bobbi Kristina had no connection to her, because her aunt paid a late night visit on Wednesday.

Pat Houston showed up to spend time with her niece, who is now off meds after doctors made it clear there's no real hope for recovery.

As for the tent, it appears the facility constructed it to shield other patients and their families from the media.

As we reported, Bobbi Kristina's family is prepared to let her go, after doctors made it clear there was no real hope of recovery.

Robin Thicke emerged Tuesday afternoon from a dentist's office in Encino sporting a missing tooth.

JJ Lane -- one of the so-called 'Brokeback Bachelors' from this season of “The Bachelorette” -- got ambushed by a gang of dudes waiting outside a cast and crew after-party.

The beatdown happened Saturday night when JJ was leaving the "Men Tell All" after-party. Production sources tell us he and a crew member got jumped by a group of at least 5 thugs.

It got ugly, real quick -- we're told JJ and the crew member took a few shots to the face, and the brawl continued until someone ran into the club to grab fellow contestant Ben Zorn. The hardbodied, badass jumped in and broke up the fight.

JJ suffered 2 black eyes, and his suit got shredded, but witnesses tell us he fought the good fight, considering the numbers. JJ believes the attackers were a gang, according to our sources.

We're told he ended up in an ER because he was feeling ill, and friends were worried he had a concussion. For some reason, neither JJ nor anyone on the production chose to call cops about the brawl.

JJ's only consolation -- he doesn't have to get engaged to Kaitlyn. She booted him 4 weeks ago. We hear Clint's still available.

3:25 PM PT -- We don't wanna say The Rock isn't all that tough, but -- IT'S FAKE!! A rep for the movie confirms it was a prosthetic hand. Still looks gnarly as hell though.

The Rock just gave Jimmy Fallon a run for his money in the finger department by posting a video of his finger that will make the faint-of-heart pass out.

The Rock's ring finger took a sharp right after ... the result of an accident on the set of "Central Intelligence."

Fallon wins for the gnarliest injury, but Rock wins for sheer determination ... wait till you hear how he resets his finger.

Jimmy Fallon almost had a finger amputated and spent 10 days in ICU ... and it was all over his wedding ring.

Fallon talked about the freak accident on "The Tonight Show" Monday ... his first appearance since the injury.

TMZ broke the story ... Fallon was rushed to the hospital June 26 after a severe injury at his home.

Fallon describes how he tried to break a fall in his kitchen and his ring got caught on the counter, almost ripping his finger off.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Nicholas Brendon has checked himself back into rehab after a bizarre incident where cops found him bleeding in an alley.

According to law enforcement sources ... Brendon got into an argument on July 3 with a woman at her apartment, smashed a window with his bare hands ... and then bolted. Firefighters responded and found Brendon in an alley, bleeding from the hands.

Brendon was transported to a hospital, but did not get arrested. He checked himself into rehab 3 days later.

Scary moment last night ... when Verne Troyer fell hard while dancing on the DJ booth at a nightclub and smacked his head on a speaker -- but fortunately, we're told HE'S OKAY!!!

46-year-old Troyer was dancing his ass off at LIV nightclub in Miami and having a blast during Cedric Gervais' set -- but you can see in the video, he loses his balance and tumbles backwards until he hits the speaker.

The good news ... the owner of the club, Dave Grutman, was there to quickly help Troyer up -- and Verne let everyone know he was ready to keep the party going!
