Mark Burnett is a genius ... not exactly news, but the timing of the announcement that Arnold Schwarzenegger will become the new host of 'Celebrity Apprentice' couldn't be better, because we've learned Arnold will be front and center at Wednesday's Republican debate.

We're told the former California governor was always planning to attend the 2nd debate at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, and the timing of the announcement is not accidental.

"Celebrity Apprentice" will be uprooted from New York City ... TMZ has learned the show will be shot in Arnold Schwarzenegger's stomping ground ... Los Angeles.

It's a brilliant move for the show, and our sources say a lot is going to change. For starters, Arnold can attract bigger stars than ever before. A production source tells us, the show will be "a lot funnier and more fun" than before, "partly because of the contestants and partly because of Arnold.

Kim Richards is in a desperate state ... so desperate she's going to smoke shops to score Xanax.

We're told Richards went to a smoke shop in Sherman Oaks several times this week, asking for the Rx drug. People in the shop say employees were perplexed because drugs aren't sold there, but Kim insisted a family member claimed she could score the drugs there.

We're told Kim was turned away each of the 3 separate times she showed up. On one occasion, someone in the store watched her leave and then go inside another smoke shop nearby.

As for why Kim was on the hunt for Xanax, she says she needs it because she has a foot injury ... which obviously makes no sense because Xanax is for anxiety.

As we reported, Kim recently left rehab for substance abuse.

Gary Busey has a secret edge on winning season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars" ... he's a ballet dancer ... seriously.

Busey's super confident he can win, partly because of his experience mimicking the Heisman Trophy.

Busey's up against Kim Zolciak, Nick Carter and Tamar Braxton ... but judging from his tour jete in the video, he's not phased by the competition.

Kylie Jenner seemed tentative as she walked into an NY Fashion Week event, holding on tight ... to herself.

Kylie and Tyga hit up the Alexander Wang after party at Up and Down nightclub, and she seemed extremely preoccupied with her boobs.

David Drew Howe -- the Maryland man/TLC reality star who claims he's a direct descendant of the family that once ruled the Isle of Man -- is having trouble getting allegiance from his subjects.

TLC's "Suddenly Royal" premiered this week, chronicling the journey of Howe and family as they spend 6 weeks in the self-governing British island, trying to gain control based on his lineage.

The local parliament is scoffing British style, saying Howe "is not to be taken seriously." The spokesperson added, "the Head of State of the Isle of Man is and remains Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II."

Howe says he has legal claim to the throne because he placed an official notice in the London Gazette, claiming his rule and no one objected. He doesn't want to oust the Queen, but he wants the title and the perks.

On the surface the locals think Howe's a doofus, but we're told on another level they're happy the show is bringing attention, and hopefully tourists, to the island.

Jessica Simpson just called out Nick Lachey big time -- saying their marriage was one of the worst financial mistakes she's ever made.

Simpson was on CNBC's "Closing Bell" Thursday when she was asked about any money mistakes she's made that have helped her learn and grow as a businesswoman. Simpson doesn't miss a beat before saying, "my first marriage."

With a reported worth of $150 million, it's safe to say Jessica has learned a lot when it comes to cash.

Fredrik Eklund isn't leaving "Million Dollar Listing New York" -- despite reports he was being 86'd for diva demands.

Eklund will definitely be back next season, so says his manager, Steven Grossman.

It's kind of ridiculous to think Bravo would ax anyone for diva behavior -- remember, they have 100 housewives on the payroll. But we're told Eklund's not a diva by any stretch.

Fact is ... his show's doing so well, they want to give Fredrik a spin-off. If that happens he'd probably leave "MDLNY."

"​The Bachelorette" star JJ Lane got bit so badly during a hockey game he almost lost his finger.

JJ was on the ice Tuesday in Denver. He checked a guy, pinning him against the boards, when the opposing player went loco, chomping down on JJ's pinky.

One of JJ's teammates sprung into action, bashing the aggressor on the back with his hockey stick until the guy released JJ's digit.

JJ went to the ER where doctors cleaned out the bloody mess and splinted it up.

JJ's had a spate of bad luck lately ... he was hospitalized back in July after allegedly being jumped by gang members.

The world's largest biker bar -- Full Throttle Saloon -- burned to the ground early Tuesday morning.

The South Dakota landmark bar was the central watering hole for hundreds of thousands of bikers who show up every year for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It's also where the truTV series, "Full Throttle Saloon" was shot during the rally.

No word on rebuilding or where the series will be shot. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Tyga lashed out at baby mama Blac Chyna, and again the trigger is Kylie Jenner.

A lot of people think Tyga's cash poor, and the Ferrari he got for Kylie's 18th birthday was leased. Apparently Tyga thinks one of those people is BC, because of his latest salvo ... "When the hating don't work they start telling lies. #WhereYoFerrariTho?"

Amber Rose jumped to Chyna's defense, shooting back, "She don't need a Ferrari she can Drive mine #BFFGoals."

The shade didn't end there...Tyga quickly responded, "We drive our own whips peanut head #GoldPhantoms #LastKings."

Tyga gifted Kylie with the $260K whip for her 18th birthday. The question ... who has the pink slip?

Rob Kardashian not only looks like he's lost a lot of weight, there's a not-so-subtle message he seems to be telegraphing.

Rob posted this Saturday, presumably at a restaurant where he was eating a salad.

The phantom Kardashian has resurfaced this week after a long absence, and it's clear he's ready to show the progress he's made in the weight department. Rob's been working with trainer Gunnar Peterson, with the goal of losing 100 lbs.

The drink on the table's interesting ... could be an ice tea, but maybe a red bull and vodka or a margarita. Door number 1 would be the wisest choice.

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West made their way through security and a gaggle of photogs Saturday as they left LAX, and the challenge was to keep the kid sound asleep.

The Kanye for Prez questions were white noise ... way more interesting is how to keep a 2-year-old counting sheep in the middle of chaos.

Jared Fogle should have taken some of his own advice -- stay away from minors ... at least that's what he says in a TV clip that has resurfaced.

Fogle appeared on VH1's "I Love The New Millennium" in 2008 when he made the comments about people who got busted on "To Catch A Predator." Fogle says, "These guys continue to fall for it every single time."

'Love and Hip Hop' star Teairra Mari just learned a tough lesson -- you can get charged for not getting a phone charge.

You might remember ... Mari allegedly went nuts on an Uber driver in July after he refused to let her charge her cellphone. The driver claims Mari began to punch him and stole his charger -- forcing him to pull over.

Prosecutors bought the driver's story and on Friday Mari was charged with battery and theft -- both misdemeanors. She was also hit with a vandalism charge but it's not clear where that came from.

Phoenix Sundown -- the man currently behind bars for sending sexual material to a 12-year-old star on "Dance Moms" -- is so obsessed with the show he has a tattoo of Abby Lee Miller on his throat.

Sundown was interviewed in his jail cell by KGTV in San Diego, and he revealed JoJo was not his only target ... he says he also set his sights on 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler, sending her 11 boxes of material.

It will be interesting to see what happens to this guy ... whether he's prosecuted or put in a psych ward ... or both.
